Run by a married couple. The hotel is in a great location, just a 5-minute walk from the square in Cusco. However, it is on a hill and at a high altitude, so the air is thin, so keep that in mind. You can also take a shared bus from the airport to the square (if you have the energy, energy, and peace of mind). However, there was no hot water in the shower at first. Because of this, I had to contact her husband, who runs the hotel, every time, which was inconvenient. However, if there was anything, they would come to my aid via WhatsApp, and when I went to Machu Picchu, they let me leave all my luggage there, and they even secured a shared bus to the hydroelectric power station, so the service was excellent in that respect.

The staff was friendly. I also like that they provide tea 24 hours a day. The location is a little inconvenient because you have to go up a narrow road from the square. The Wifi was unstable when I stayed there.

We waited for an hour at the front door when we wanted to check in, nobody was there. Another Hostel guest helped us out after a while and called the owner so we could get our room. Later, we got asked twice if we want our room to be cleaned during our stay, we denied twice. They came into our room anyways when we weren't there. They made the bed but they also took some of our personal items that were on the bed, that we bought in Cusco. We sadly noticed one day later but never got a response from them again.

Unventilated rooms, no space between beds, bedding in poor condition and foul-smelling, electrical wiring in poor condition and cables running directly into the living space, potentially causing accidents, and a ceiling covered in toxic mold. I would not recommend it at all, so much so that we requested the immediate cancellation of the shoveling.

A good location in the center of Cusco. My stay coincided with a storytelling event. Very good. Staff were always available at reception, and the food they offer for dinner and breakfast is excellent. The dining room offers a panoramic view of the Plaza de Armas.
