"Amazing hospitality from all if the staff. Very large beautiful rooms. A little gem with the most amazing gardens. A great little pub / restaurant. Not far from boulders beach. Honesty bar is very well stocked. I would highly recommend to anyone."

Constantia White Lodge Guest House

"A friend had recommended a different guesthouse in Constantia, which wasn't available on our dates, so we booked White Lodge and I'm so glad we did. Parking was included and secure. Friendly check in, where we were offered cold drinks. Large clean room, with one of biggest beds I've ever slept in, tea, rooibos, coffee, cookies and water in room. Bathroom clean, with lots of toiletries and a good shower. Pool area is lovely with lots of loungers. We used the reasonably priced honesty bar for our sundowners and the lounge area for a takeaway, as we'd been travelling all day and didn't fancy going out to a restaurant. Breakfast was perfect, a small buffet with fruit, yogurt, cereals, muffins and bread, and then cooked to order items. Staff were all lovely and welcoming. This was the perfect choice for our first night in South Africa and I hope that we can return another time."

The Cellars-Hohenort

"I stayed in the Cellars-Hohenhort several times in the distant past. It had become rather tired and service was erratic. So what a pleasure to return and find that the hotel is now greatly improved. The staff were extremely welcoming and looked after us very well. The housekeeping team were especially kind. The Conservatory Restaurant has been relaunched with a more casual and contemporary menu. It is buzzy and packed with locals not staying at the hotel. We enjoyed the beautiful gardens and a game of tennis on the hotel’s court. The pools are also very nice."

"I had no idea what to expect, as I had never been to Cape Town, let alone South Africa. I was pleasantly surprised with my experience at Ikhaya. Sonja, my primary contact there, made me feel welcomed from the very beginning, and made sure I had all I needed. I only planned to stay three nights, but enjoyed myself so much that I extended my stay. Clean rooms, nice staff, good breakfast, Uber accessible, safe, etc.... I definitely would stay there again, and again! Thank you!"

"We spent three nights at the hotel at the beginning of our stay in South Africa and three days at the end. The 'suite' we had for the second stay was superior to the first one but both were more than adequate. The service was excellent and the breakfast, on a terrace overlooking the garden, was particularly good. The hotel has a very 'homely' feel."

Southern Light Country House

"We booked two rooms, which were generally quite nice in terms of amenities, but... the service was a complete disaster! We were treated as a nuisance, even though we arrived late in the afternoon. Half-drunk drinks were still in the fridge, and there was no water in the rooms. We had to eat breakfast inside because the young waitress didn't feel like setting up the table on the terrace, so it was a mess."
