Best Gia Van Hotels

4 star resort with 5 star prices & 3 star services. Mar 2024 Vietnam is a very beautiful & culturally rich country. We visited Hanoi, Halong Bay, Hoi An, Da Nang & Ninh Binh on 11D/LON trip. Hospitality, reception & local immersion was outstanding at all places (except Emeralda) - people were welcoming & hotel staff were very courteous. Emeralda Resort at Ninh Binh was not so pleasant experience barring a few seasoned staff members. F&B Manager at Sen Restauran (morning paid breakfast) declined to entertain vegan food request & puréed fruit for 7 month infant, She said Kitchen's busy, we have large group to cater to. After much explanation she managed to get a fried rice (that's It!l) but for puréed fruit she denied & insisted I pay for it. Organic Restaurant is good, couple of staff there (mostly women) were courteous. Pool Bar attendant had some issues, not even acknowledging the greetings. Thanks to Ms Hung (Restaurant Manager), Mr Chung (Reception) & another Restaurant manager at Organic (missed her name) for making our stay bearable & manageable. They have a very wonderful property & spacious rooms, had the service been at par like ot 4 & 5 star resorts; it would be an ideal location for tranquility. Note: Vegan / Vegetarian food menu is limited & not allowed to buy food from outside.

Very general, no integrity, cancelled for no reason

Best bed and pillows ever. The room is quite dark, my eyes feel uncomfortable. Amenities are good enough. Good location. Friendly staffs Meals service and coffee from boss also memorable

The resort is still under construction so it is dusty and all the services here cannot be used yet. The staff is enthusiastic and attentive. The mineral pool is a bit small; crowded and people have to wait for each other.

First of all, I would like to thank the hotel manager and her son for driving us to an ATM when we needed help. The following is an objective evaluation, and I hope it can be used as a reference for others. In Ninh Binh, it is difficult to find ATMs and restaurants, but you can find what tourists need in the nearby tourist attractions. This hotel is close to the pagoda and not too far from the boat. But the location is relatively not as good as that of the mua cave. There are no restaurants nearby, while there are more restaurants and bars there. You can also use grab to take a taxi, and the front desk can also help you use the local app to call a taxi, and the price is about the same. This hotel is large and has a good environment. There is a lake and a swimming pool inside, but it is too cold to use. There is also a place for children to play. There are not many toys, but my baby is already very satisfied. It is also very good to have this in Vietnam. Note that all snacks on the table in the room, including instant noodles, are charged. Unlike in China, there is no price tag, but they will be charged separately when checking out. There is a bathtub in the room, and children like to play in the water.

This hotel is great! Brand new, the pool is big and clean, the service staff is kind and welcoming, the room is big and beautiful, the bathroom flushing bath equipment has many functions, the breakfast is one person, very delicious! The whole hotel building is like an art gallery, the courtyard is very beautiful!
