Third stay at the Renaissance Legacy West. Will return here when in the area. Great staff from top to bottom. Hotel was packed but they did not miss a beat. Enjoyed the upgraded room and the the rooftop pool vibe was cool, albeit packed. We had a blast. Close to everything Legacy West has to offer. Safe upscale and new feel. Clean and well staffed. Great check in, great valet, other hotels should learn from this one. Would absolutely recommend!
The checkin was great with “Monice”, however we had to request bedding for the pullout sofa after getting to the room late at night…I assumed there’d be bedding in the closet, but no dice. The reservation was booked under my spouse’s name “D. Miller”, but I was added as a guest checking in first. The next morning, I booked a points only reservation for 5 days, however before leaving the room to be checked into the points only reservation, I felt bugs crawling on my ankles as I sat working at the dinette table! The critter took a bite, and I jumped up to see if it was a bed bug, however it didn’t appear to be one. After inspecting the room and bed, they were everywhere! We called the front desk, and spoke to “Pharon” who’s response couldn’t have been less empathetic to my concerns. We packed up everything, and checked out! While checking out, “Pharon” explained that she’d “opened a case” with Marriott, through she never explained what that was or why she was “opening a case” on our behalf. She confirmed that she was canceling the 2nd reservation I booked with points, however several days later the room was still checked in, and to date my points haven’t been returned to my Titanium account. I went back to the hotel a couple days later to inquire why, and also to ensure that I wasn’t charged for the first night due to the bug infestation. “Truveda “ was polite, however she stated, “We can’t make any adjustments, management has to do that.” Ok, so I asked for a call, left, and never heard from management at the time of this review. I called a few days ago, and the room was still checked into their system as occupied by us ever though we left the hotel on March 18th! I asked again for management to call, and no response. I called back the next day, spoke with “Lina Yeh”, the AGM who assured me that the situation would be taken care of. She explained that the hotel was giving me 5000 points for my “inconvenience”…I explained that was woefully inadequate and asked for a refund of the first night which I thought was polite than most other guests would’ve been given the circumstances. She indicated that wasn’t possible, but upon doing further research, she discovered that my reservation was still screwed up because she thought I was asking for a refund of 5 nights for which I didn’t even stay at the hotel! She promised a follow-up call to address my request for a refund of the night we “slept with bugs”, because she had to “check with management”, but I thought she WAS management…then it became clear to me…this was a franchised property! They’re notorious for bleeding hotels dry and screwing Marriott’s most loyal guests in the process. Anyway…I’ll be following up with Marriott Customer Care to get assistance in getting this resolved.
The breakfast is full of 18 knives, fully equipped, swimming pool gym, and sitting in the back garden. Very satisfied hotel, the room is fully equipped with microwave, and small living room

Stayed here for 3 nights for my son's hockey tournament. It's a stay to play tournament, meaning our team hotel is assigned. We had a flight delay due to the Dallas storm/arctic chill, so we did not end up getting to the hotel til past midnight. The guy at the front desk seemed ill prepared to handle a large group of check-ins at that time of night since we had several families on the same flight from Vegas. The front desk clerk initially tried to say that my room was no longer available b/c we were checking in past midnight despite having room confirmation and prepayment. Then he tried to state that the suite I had rebooked and had confirmation was given away. It took about 15 minutes to get this resolved and I know other families who checked in after I did had the same issues. I also have gold elite status as a Marriott Convoy member and was told I could not get my complimentary daily water. Outside of the horrible check in experience, stay way ok. Close to the highway and one of the rinks we played at.
Needed to make reservations to accommodate executives and Melisa was amazing. When planning conferences at an out of town venue she was available to assist me at every turn. Every last minute change was met with “no problem” and “happy to help”. When in Dallas/Plano area please consider this property. You will not be disappointed!
The hotel itself is a little dated and run down. There is plenty of parking outside and its right next to a fitness place if you want to work out. It has the generic fitness center with towels and water. The water machine in there wasn't working when I was there. There is a free laundry room. Some of the machines were not working and some were really old and dirty inside from being used to wash something really dirty. The breakfast was pretty generic. I chose not to eat there as it did not appear that appetizing. They stopped the social in the evening. The staff is rarely visible at the front desk - always in the back and come out really slow like you are bothering them from being on social media or waking them up from a nap. The bright spot is that most of the AM people are super nice and very helpful. The housekeeping staff is also great and I highly recommend them. Location wise its less than two minutes from Medical City Plano, right next to a Central Market, right next to Sams Club and Walmart. There are plenty of restaurants with in fifteen minutes of this place.
First time staying at one of these. Extremely impressed with how clean, well equipped, spacious and comfortable it was. Stayed for 6 nights and the breakfast was good with a wide variety of items including fresh cut fruits. Two thumbs up to Gina at the front desk for being very helpful. The only thing that I was disappointed was the fact that they charge $75 per pet for every week you stay which I think is a bit high for many who have to work from out of town for extended periods of time and have to bring their furry best friends.
Our experience was very positive at this property. Staff was very friendly and helpful when needed (only for additional towels) The breakfast bar was clean and well supplied, the attendants were there to keep everything replenished when needed. Our room was clean and comfortable. My only complaint (and it's not the hotel's fault) pet owners need to be responsible and pick up waste from their pet. There were multiple piles of poop on the grass right outside the side doors. If you're going to travel with pets CLEAN UP AFTER THEM!!
I was highly impressed with this hotel & the staff. Texas Association of Mediators had their 2 day conference last week-end. The food was the best I've ever had at a conference! The staff was attentive, professional and friendly. One server welcomed me to her home & thanked me for choosing this hotel. Many of the staff have been employed for over 20 years! Everyone made us feel ”at home” and that our business was truly welcomed. I highly recommend this hotel. Plus, lots of shopping & eating within walking distance.

JJAR303Stayed at this hotel for three days for a family get together, stayed in a 2 bedroom, 2 bath suite. They set-up was perfect for our party of four (two couples). We enjoyed having a shared living room area for socializing and conversation. All of the furniture was comfortable and clean. Everything in the room was in good was in good working order, very comfortable bed and linens, responsive A/C system. Room was cleaned each day (a rare thing in hotels today). Common areas were well maintained and comfortable. Breakfast was nice and well-stocked each morning. Hallways were well maintained, featuring photos of Texas-born celebrities (had fun trying to identify them all.). Staff was always helpful and polite when called upon for any matters. Location was convenient for all of the things we needed to do, a bit further from Downtown Dallas, which you would need a car to travel to downtown Dallas. Used outdoor pool twice, nice and refreshing, and well-maintained, along with the outdoor seating and recreation areas. I wouldn’t hesitate to stay here again when in the area; I enjoyed staying here.
GGuest UserThe hotel was conveniently located right off of the toll road. Our room was extremely clean and smelled amazing! There was good quality shampoo in the bathroom, not your typical cheap hotel shampoo and bar soap. They had dove products! The complimentary breakfast was really good. Muffins, bagels, hot fresh cinnamon rolls, pancakes, and chobani yogurt. The staff were very friendly as well. I would certainly recommend this hotel for anyone looking for an affordable hotel room this is certainly the place. Also conveniently located 25 minutes from Rockwall.
GGuest UserAlthough we've never been here before, unlocking the door to our studio suite was like coming home! As the door opened smoothly, we were greeted by soft music, a lamp on the desk glowing and a cool breeze which was heavenly after coming in from a stressful drive on a 90+-degree day! Everything was clean and shiny with not a speck of dust anywhere! The kitchenette was fully equipped with everything but food including a toaster. The granite countertops were spotless as was every inch of metal trim in the bathroom with not even one fingerprint to be found! The furnishings included a long sofa (hide-a-bed), rolling desk chair and expansive desk surface which was perfect for playing dominoes, a large tv which swiveled between living area and bedroom and a bed that was like sleeping on a cloud. (Room 106) The hotel staff called 10 minutes after we were in our room to make certain everything was to our expectation. I don't know how our 3 day stay could have been made better because every time we came back to the hotel, it felt like we had come home!
LLeila2995Overall good, the address of the hotel is also relatively safe, it is not convenient to enter and exit, on the highway, but the United States is big, it is necessary to have a car.
When checking in, was told about all the things that didn't work or wasn't open. Using key cards at doors didn't work. Didn't hear that and was locked out for 20 minutes until someone let me in. Pool and laundry room was closed. Was told we could use a pool 10 miles away at another hotel. No face towels were available, had to use hand towels until some were available the next day. Some of the hand towels were so worn you could see through the worn areas. Extra pillows didn't have pillow cases, just dust covers. Called the hotel personally to request connecting rooms. When checking in, was told rooms were together but found out they were across from each other. When inquiring why we could not get connecting rooms, was told hotel didn't have double rooms that connected. No one told me that when I called the first time with the request. Had two rooms and the 2nd room toilet wouldn't stop running so family members were moved to another room, but on another floor. Stayed for 4 nights, all key cards had to be rekeyed 1 to 2 times every day because they just quit working. Toilet is a small low toilet, like a daycare child sized toilet. TV only had around 10 channels and those were the major network channels and news channels. Although the rest of the channels showed up in the channel lineup, they didn't play. Remote was slow to react to pushing buttons. If you pushed the up/down button more than 6 times, it hesitated and you had to wait until it caught up. Air conditioner was loud in one room that it drowned out the tv. One room had stains on sheets and family member had to change out the sheets on their own. Granted, we had a very late check in, but the sheets shouldn't have had stains on them. Slow working elevator. Out of all of this, had no complaints against the hotel staff. They were friendly and apologetic.
GGuest UserI reserved a suite for my mom and me to stay in for 1 night as she was having surgery next door at the heart hospital. I was checked in a timely manner and my room looked like the pictures on the website. It was fairly clean except for all the dog hair on the floor and food crumbs left over from previous guests in multiple places on the carpet! It was clear they skipped the vacuming! I slept on the pull out sofa and I checked upon arrival for sheets and blankets. I didn't see a blanket and called to the front desk the man working there was very irritated that I asked for a blanket. he said I could come get one. So with my room being the farthest from lobby, I made my way down there. No blankets!! I was told and no offer to get me one. When I did verify and asked are u sure? He said he'd go tear up a bed for me and bring it to me! That is when i notified him of the pet hair and food. he was not happy that i asked for housekeeping to come and vacuum! So beware he's a little crabby!! I used the fitness room which needs help! Very minimal! The breakfast was served in the mornig but n o details at chek in when it was hours etc! It was okay . typical hotel breakfast nothing to brag about! All in all it fit our needs for a overnight stay!
Called the hotel early morning to request the room be on the 1st floor due to my mother having mobility issues, was not honored. No problem, please place the room close to the elevator, still not accommodated. Was placed 1 room away from the end of the hall. I enter the room and am greeted with a mildew smell. RED FLAG as I have sinus issues. The bathroom is where the odor is coming from. Then above the bed is a poorly repaired hole where there was clear water damage (see picture) ALL Home2 Suites provides a curtain devising the bed from the living space. The room I was assigned did not have one and the front desk said I would need to wait for housekeeping to get the curtain. (see picture) The room's smoke sensor had electrical tape on it. Appears a guest wanted to cover the light that flashes indicating the sensor is connected to the power source. Housekeeping apparently doesn't look around the room (see picture) I immediately made a new reservation with a Marriott property that allowed me to check in the early morning, (7 AM) so I could get out of this poorly maintained hotel.
MMarioThe hotel is well-located and convenient for long stays. However, the housekeeping service is quite minimal, offering only a “refresh service,” which primarily involves changing towels. For a full cleaning service, guests must request it in advance at no additional cost through reception. Despite this, the staff is very friendly, and the hotel itself is comfortable and well-maintained.
GGuest UserWe booked only one night here, thank goodness. The A/C DID work in our room, so that's the plus to this review. The room wasn't really ”clean” when we got in (just random wrappers & some small pieces of trash around/behind bed) but I didn't worry about it, as I was only needing somewhere to sleep. Not long after I laid down, a roach (pictured) was crawling on my bed! I hate roaches, so this was disgusting to me! I finally found it & killed it, but while looking for it, found ANOTHER small bug by the bed! (Also pictured). We've stayed at all kinds of hotels (mostly Choice brand, as we're Platium status) but this is the first time to have BUGS. Very gross.
