Good stay with wonderful and attentive front desk personnel, was marred only by a couple of maintenance issues in our room and an unfortunate false alarm fire evacuation causing a 18-floor stairwell walk-down we felt for days afterward. Obviously, this was not the hotel's fault. Otherwise, this is an excellent property, ideally located for our purposes (visiting Heinz Hall) and we would certainly return.

The location is particularly good. If the weather is good, I feel that I can walk to most places. I can go straight to lyft and get cheap. Pittsburgh has bad traffic. In this place, it is more worry-free to drive others than to drive. I feel that the service is very good, but the first The shortcoming of the tripartite reservation is that a lot of services can't be enjoyed. If you apply for a member directly, you will have more free services. If you go online, you only have free low-speed traffic. If you are at high speed, you can reduce 10 knives, which is 5 knives per day. Not expensive! The lobby is really good! There is a free apple at the front desk and a variety of fruit soaking water every day! The room is a bit small, the air conditioning is very good, the water pressure is also very good, the bed is very comfortable! But Ctrip is really cheap, and the US website has a tax of more than 10%!

We asked for city view and our room was on the 20th floor. Gorgeous view! The room was clean, everything we needed was provided at a reasonable price. The pool on the 4th floor with a view of the iconic yellow bridge was fantastic. Every staff member we spoke with was friendly and helpful, with great pointers for restaurants. The next time we go to Pittsburgh we will be staying here again.

We met our kids there for the Elton John concert at PNC Park . I booked a year in advance at Cambria Downtown thinking it was close but far enough away fro immediate crowds. I’ll address the negatives immediately, but continue reading because it has a good end. Thank you I usually choose a hotel that has an indoor heated pool , a hot tub is a bonus , Cambria had both! Next is as mentioned above , location , close but not in the thick of things, Parking availability is important so our car can be left at hotel without concern, again Cambria met my criteria , things are good so far . Now , Upon arrival to Hotel there was much construction building and road so getting there was confusing , once we pull on to the Drop off area , their parking lot was closed and being maintained, we were instructed to use the parking lot up the road and tell the attendant that we were hotel guests , well that didn’t matter at all it was still 6.50 to park , the attendant was only there til 3 , so the parking lot was ‘open air ‘ no security, no responsibility on their behalf. Next we try to get checked in … cannot til 4 , no exceptions , so we hung around the lobby , bar was not open so no food or beverage available. We check out where the pool is see the hot tub , things look alright , 4 o’clock comes we check in get settled decide to go for a swim , the pool was freezing ( not even 70 degree) and the whirlpool/ hot tub had not been working for about two weeks. YES WE UNDERSTAND things happen beyond our control , but our expectations had been crushed and would have never happened if these issues were mentioned on the Hotel Site or the Booking sites , plus I’m signed up for text and emails , but no mention of the construction, the parking, or hot tub malfunction. Just communicated to us prior to our visit . Now transportation becomes an issue because we are no longer in a designated Hotel parking area. Cabs are not readily available as you may think, the Hotel stated it offered shuttle service within a 3mile radius , turns out that there’s only ONE GUY who doesn’t come on til 1-2 O’clock in the afternoon. NOW for the GOOD STUFF. The immediate folks that we interacted with couldn’t have been nicer and more accommodating! JOHN the one shuttle driver was SUPER NICE , SO POLITE, communication was key , JOHN was WONDERFUL! He was a key part to turning our stay around to be greater than expected . Also OSCAR was head of food and beverage , he too was very accommodating offered to drive us around in between all his other duties, and Fun! A great sense of humor . Than there’s DEB the manager she was so helpful , she apologized for our inconvenience ( which wasn’t necessary) she had and employee turn up the heat in the pool since the hot tub was not working . She went above and beyond to try to make things right , and they weren’t really wrong , there was just need for better communication, in regard to the websites so that people could be informed of what was happeni

In a moderately priced hotel, the bed is not made and cleaned every day. If you want new towels or sanitary products the next day, you can ask the front desk and they will be delivered in time. The room is big enough, the sound insulation is not good, the advantage is that it is close to Pittsburgh. There are discounts for accommodation and breakfast, but there is no breakfast at the nearby Starbucks. If there is not enough parking space at the entrance, you can park in the opposite parking lot, and the hotel will pay for it for you. All in all it was good, no inconvenience.

Stayed here for 2 nights with our 2 teens. Loved the location. Easy walking to everything including PNC Park where we caught a Pirates game. The hotel is in the historic Oliver Building in the heart of downtown Pittsburgh. Room was big with separate living room that included a pullout couch. Great breakfast included plus the usual Embassy Suites happy hour. Had an issue our first night with the a/c. Woke up at 4:30am and the room was warm. Thermostat was reading 79 in the room even though the air was set to 68. Front desk was super helpful and polite. They sent an engineer up within 5 minutes and he remedied the situation. The room was cool again within 20 minutes and no more issues. We parked upon our arrival across the street in the municipal parking garage under Mellon Square and didn’t move the car until we departed for home. The fee was $20 per day. Valet Parking is also offered by the hotel. I would highly recommend staying at this Embassy Suites and will definitely book here again whenever we return to Pittsburgh.

I previously stayed here over a decade ago and recently revisited during a trip to Pittsburgh and was pleasantly surprised to how different the hotel looked, in the best way possible! The entire facility has been undergoing renovations, and you can definitely tell upgrades have been made; the front lobby is spacious, clean, and inviting and is right near the area where free breakfast is hosted in the morning. The rooms are spacious, clean, and modern, with our standard two bed room having a large desk/kitchenette space, a couch, and two tvs in addition to the beds! The location is great; right near a major road and plenty of shopping and restaurants—-perfect for those looking to stay in Pittsburgh but still be close to attractions!

Very very good hotel, very new and new, relying only on the PPG building, the real downtown, and the environment is very good. The rooms are tall, clean, hygienic and well-heated. The kitchen supplies are good. Will choose this hotel next time, the price is very high, I strongly recommend everyone to choose.

I am already staying for the second time. The breakfast is good and very rich. If you are still not satisfied, there are pancakes on the spot, but at your own expense, give a good review! And the room can be cooked and eaten. I used to cook some noodles and add some spicy food to eat and eat. The whole hotel gives a very comfortable feeling.

There were bed bugs in the studio and once i notified the front desk they were quick to move me to another apartment with updated amenities.

GGuest UserDuring our stay at Hyatt House, we unfortunately had a negative experience with regards to the cleanliness of the facilities. We would not recommend this hotel and will not be staying here in the future. Though the staff was as helpful as possible, we were re-assigned rooms and were met with the same sub-par conditions. Our first room seemed to not have received a cleaning following the previous stay. The floor and surface areas were dirty, the floor was sticky with crumbs, dust and other debris. The couch had a significant blood stain on one of the cushions and upon further review we found additional staining all over. The front desk associates were helpful in getting us reassigned to a new room. Here, we were met with continued concerns on the cleanliness of the rooms. Though we certainly understand these rooms are typically for longer stays, we were really disappointed and would not recommend staying here.

GGuest UserIt is a relatively clean hotel with a bit of characteristics, with its own parking lot, but the location is not very central, the only fly in the ointment is that the room is at the intersection, from the window is the intersection, the night and early morning vehicles flow endlessly, very noisy, people who sleep poorly can pay attention when they check in

GGuest UserThe staff were all very friendly and knowledgeable. The continental breakfast was decent, but not great. The location is fantastic if you're in town for a ballgame. However, my room was at the very north end of the hotel near the highway and the road noises at night was pretty bad/loud due to the elevated roadway. The reason for my terrible rating on cleanliness is that when I turned down my sheets, I had black flecks of something all in my sheets, as well as a long dark hair under the top sheet I could see. Additionally, I had some sort of dead bug on my side table. It looked like potentially a bed bug, so I didn't get much sleep the only night I was there. I'd recommend this hotel to stay at with a few caveats of asking for a room on the south end of the hotel as well as checking your sheets as soon as you get into your room.

Weekend in Pittsburgh for a concert at Mr. Smalls, then some sightseeing. This was close to Millvale and the ***** district, and had some of the best pricing in the area for the amenities I was looking for: shuttle, pool, free breakfast, free WIFI. Also hoped for free parking, but even with paid parking, the daily rate was less than others in the area. The hotel is modern and clean, albeit laid out a little weird- you park in the back on the second floor, and have to go downstairs for the check in desk. There are both stairs and elevators, so access is not an issue. And there is a door on the first floor street level, as well as a limited time parking area to pull up to that door and check in if you wanted to. Do not be intimidated by the neighborhood- the surrounding houses look a little worn, and there were some panhandlers around, but we came and went at all hours and never felt unsafe. Do mind traffic as there are some pretty large, somewhat confusing intersections nearby (though that seems to be kinda par for the course for the city). Our room was nicely appointed, and we had a decent view of the city from the fourth floor (facing the main road). There is also a patio/deck on the sixth floor if you like wide city views. The heated pool was wonderfully relaxing, but check if there are towels in the pool area before entering! Breakfast included cereals, breads, waffles, small selection of yogurt and fresh fruit. There were also hot items- scrambled eggs and sausage for the two days we were there. I can't have gluten, so I was grateful for the hot items, but unfortunately the eggs were somewhere between rubbery and hard both days. Sausage was delicious though. And please stock more bananas! The shuttle was very handy, especially when we got caught in a rain storm after walking across to the ***** district for dinner. Make sure you take a card with the phone number at the front desk! The driver was super friendly and knew her way around well. Mattress was a little too hard for our tastes, but the mix of squishy and firm pillows was great! and there were five of them for two of us, so we had options to get comfy with! WIFI was decent strength and easy to connect to. Our room faced the street and highways, but the street noise was minimal. Good blackout curtains, too. Overall, we were happy with our stay. We felt safe, clean, and partner really enjoyed the waffle maker and yogurts at breakfast. Would stay again.

GGuest UserHampton Inn Pittsburgh/Greentree I apologize in advance for the lengthy review but I needed to warn other people about this place, specially Hilton Members that time and time again bring business to the brand with our stays. If I could leave 0 star I would, this hotel left something to be desired. I really don't understand how they have 4 stars on Google, all I can think of is managment encouraging their employees, friends and families to write bogus reviews to raise their score. I really don't want to believe a Hilton brand would stoop so low but then again this hotel seem to be run by very rude and unprofessional people so I can't rule anything out. The property was old and outdated. Now I'm not super picky about things like that but when my room smells horrible and the ceiling in the bathroom on top of the tub is cracking and pieces of drywall are falling on me while showering, well that's when we have a problem. I understand a building being outdated but maintenance should never ever fall behind, especially in a Hilton brand. As a Hilton Diamond member that has stay with the brand everytime I travel domestically or internationally, this is not what I have come to expect from them. On top of that the staff was extremely unhelpful, rude and unwelcoming. They all seem like they did not want to be there and were all having the worst day according to their body language and behavior towards the guest. I was traveling with my partner and she's a god damn saint and didn't want to bother anyone or get anyone in trouble, she told me it was just a 3 nights stay and to just let it go, so I didn't say anything while we were there. Now the last drop came when we arrived home and I sat down, and went to check the receipt from the hotel(side note-I usually don't check my Hilton stay receipts till a couple days after check out, but this people did not inspired any confidence in me). I am glad I checked because there was a $267 cleaning fee attached. I immediately called the hotel but the agent said he didn't know what that cleaning fee meant so I had to call back the next day in the morning to speak with his manager Rebecca. I called the next day in the morning and asked to speak with Rebecca, they send me to her voice-mail, so I got tired of being thrown around like a god damn ball and decided to call the diamond desk. They contacted the hotel and put me through to talk to someone(this person was not the manager Rebecca, it was a front desk agent) The lady said the Cleaning Fee was for smoking. Now I was really pissed, I have ashtma and obviously do not smoke at all, and my partner does not smoke either, she doesn't even drink. I explained that it was not possible that we could have smoke in that room and asked what proved they had to make that statement and charge me a fee without even notifying me before leaving the hotel, all the lady said was that it smelled like someone smoked. I reiterated that it was not possible and she kept saying the same thing. A

GGuest UserThis Holiday Inn Express is a dump, every other Holiday Inn Express has been great except this one and apparently management oversight doesn't care as this is another very similar review from others that did not care much for this hotel. Filthy, had to change rooms due to the mold and mildew in the bathroom shower and the sewer odor on the floor. New room on a different floor was slightly cleaner until you see all the hair on the bathroom floor and no fan, after a 1 hot shower, the ceiling is dripping with water. Bought clorex wipes to clean the area. Found a dirty shirt from a previous guest on the floor underneath an ottoman. $22/night for parking is a ripoff and the gate to get into the lot is broke. The entry door in the back near the parking lot, that is supposed to open with your room card, is propped open night and day, must be broke and can be a security issue. Stairwell had trash in it. Couldn't wait to be out of the room.

GGuest UserI stayed here for like 2 weeks out of nowhere they decided to ban me. Probably because I kept staying on points and calling customer service to make them do their jobs ha. When I asked the reason I was ban she said my kids were rubbing the halls in the middle of the night which was a whole lie, my kids were in bed af 9/10 every night because they had school. But don’t come here It’s unkept and gross and they act like your parents telling you that you can’t have guests in your room and they make sure whoever is on the reservation is all that’s allowed in the pool! Not worth the money you pay. They need to be free.

GgzvvloveThe public area is old and dirty. The doors are still there, the floors and tables are not cleaned, except for the bed. The breakfast is just packed. No slippers or toothbrushes are provided. There is no convenience store nearby.

Cathedral of Learning

小凌60In fact, it has nothing to do with the church, or can only say that his appearance is like an old European cathedral, here is a teaching building, but very grand and beautiful, the interior can be seen.

US Steel Tower

TTravellerbychoiceA majestic tower in Pittsburgh that defines the city. It stands tall and magnificent in its glory.

Pittsburgh Zoo & Aquarium

乐天的静This is a very old zoo. We were very busy when we went there on Saturdays. You can easily see the whole zoo and aquarium in an afternoon. There are many animals and exhibits here. Most of the animals are in the fence, which makes it easy to take pictures. Aquarium is not Atlanta style, but it's suitable for children. Adult tickets are 16. There are discounts for students, soldiers and the elderly. Twelve of us, aged over 50 and younger than 6 months, enjoyed it very much. We recommend visiting here.

Carnegie Museum of Art
