When Pieterpad walkers sleeped two nights in De Rode Leeuw. We had a relaxed arrangement 3-daags. The staff is friendly and guest-friendly. The room (comfort room) is simple and spacious enough, a problem with the shower was remedied very quickly. We found beds (2 loose) very well but perhaps some hard side. Breakfast: good, sufficiently wide. dinner: the first night included in the arrangement, a separate map with choice from a number of front, head and afternoon. T***e evening: a la carte. Both evenings a great dinner. Finally: spacious parking, centrally located in Terborg, train station at no more than 10 minutes walk. We had a great stay there. Ingrid & Arie

Nice Auping bed with Auping mattress. Sweet kiss much thick! It would be nice if you had a choice from different thicknesses. Also a fine room with everything you need. There's no TV and refrigerator. Maybe a glass door for the shower? Further, super beautiful garden where you can drink nicely! Eating card is something modest. I'd like to be a little more extensive. - What a good shop! Restaurant also dressed great. Hip style! Staff are just noticed at all! Adviser if you stay in Doetinchem!

Our room was very nice, strange to have a bath in the bedroom but as we are married not a problem. We had booked dinner bed and breakfast, with the 6 course menu. Table reserved for 19.15 We went down to the bar at 1900 and enjoyed our complimentary glass of cava. At 1915 we were shown to our table in the restaurant, we were ignored from this point, after half an hour we were asked if we would like a drink and thats when we asked to at least see a menu! After another 15 minutes someone came and took our drinks order and we said we had booked the 6 course menu. They were very busy but that does not excuse being completely ignored. We were quite put out to have waited so long, so although the food was amazing and the staff were very attentive from that point our meal was spoiled by waiting 45 minutes, I dont think this is acceptable in a restaurant of this quality. Also when we went to sign the check they wanted to charge us for the food again, so we argued the point that it was prepaid with the booking but they would not agree, so we signed the bill to the room, which of course was correct on check out. The review should be 5star but at these prices I had to knock 2 off.

BREAKFAST I stayed here while cycling on the Ronde Van Nederland. I stayed in a mixture of hotels and this was by far the best on my 8 day cycle challenge. However, I wish to specifically highlight the Breakfast and the Breakfast chef. I requested an early breakfast and the buffet range and quality was outstanding. Breakfast chef was so very friendly and helpful. My only other observation is that I found it very strange that the door to the guest rooms was locked - yes locked until 7am
