"I wanted to sleep in the mountains, not far from the Gangneung beach (around 30 minutes). The owner was very kind and prepared a meal that he cooked himself, so I was very grateful. The location is surrounded by mountains and located high up (vehicles allowed, of course), so the view is also good. I came here while listening to the sound of the mountain breeze without any external noise. It is an old pension, so there are limitations in facilities, but I recommend it to those who want to relax in comfort and hospitality in the mountains."

"The location was good because it was close to the beach. There is a dog (?) dog in front of the house, but it looked scary, but it was nice to be gentle, and it was nice to have a whirlpool in the hostel."

GGuest UserI made a reservation at the lowest price and was given a room on the first floor with a parking lot view, so I paid extra and got a room in the middle with a sea view on the third floor. It's the same as the introduction, and the sea view outside is pretty. It was nice to be able to enjoy the daytime sea, the night sea, and even the sunrise. Cleanliness was good, and the bedding and bed mattress were quite good. Using the jacuzzi was also okay. It was okay because it was the season when there weren't many people, but since it has full-length windows, you can see everything from the roadside if you stay close to the window. No one will want to look closely. Highly recommended for those who want to sleep and relax while watching the waves of the sea change from moment to moment.

AAThe service surpasses our expectations. The staff are polite, efficient, and always ready to help. Special credit goes to General Manager Hong who speaks good English and would always walk an extra mile to give us assistance.
The environment is commendable. The hotel is clean and comfortable with a chic design. The room is brightly lit and spacious. We appreciate the practical design, such as power points conveniently equipped right in front of the working table.
We like the cozy meeting area on G/F where we can gather for a chat and savor a cup of complimentary tea or coffee. Besides, we recommend the Italian restaurant, Brother & Brother, on the 9/F. The menu mainly offers pizza, pasta and risotto. Breakfast, which must be booked in advance, include orange juice, coffee, cereal and a sumptuous sandwich fully packed with healthful vegetables, egg, ham and cheese. Anyway, the food is delicious, sometimes with a Korean twist. It is good value for money. The restaurant also has a good view overlooking the mountains and the wind turbines from afar.
Overall, we are very satisfied with The HongC Hotel. The stay was pleasant and happy.

TTheGiantPandaIf you are looking for an easy sunrise experience, this hotel is for you! You can set the alarm, then open the curtain. Once the alarm goes off, open your eyes and there you go! Sun is rising in front of your eyes!
My happiness was beyond words.

AAnonymous UserI knew about this hotel and because it looks like a cruise ship I was thinking it was very touristy. It was, but not in a negative way. Only guests are allowed to roam the premises, which makes the place feel safe and less crowded. There is a sculpture garden with 30 sculptures where you can walk around and enjoy yourself, two buildings are connected and one goes down to the coast, so you can enjoy scenes of the sea and being close to it. It is also next to the largest walkway along the shore in the country, I think I thought the place was better than I expected and it was a nice break for me.

UUnyoung GleasonHotel tops 10 was a nice hotel on top of a big hill. The service was good and the ameneties were good, we got a big hotel room with a large TV and good view of the water. Unfortunately the hotel is quite isolated from the rest of the town and makes you rely on the hotel for things like food and other attractions. We did not experience any restaurants or the bath house due to our short stay, so unfortunately cannot comment on that. There is a convenience store in side the hotel that we ended up getting our dinner from, which was still good :) overall we wished we had done anything at the hotel if we go again. If you have a car you should be able to go to the town..

민민호I am satisfied for the price. However, I think it would be correct to think of it as a concept similar to a sauna crypt rather than a capsule. The difference from the jjimjilbang crypt is that there is a small window, you can turn on the light, use electricity, and an electric blanket is also provided. At the entrance, a curtain serves as a screen. Showers and toilets are shared. There are a total of 20 beds in the men's dormitory on the 2nd floor, but it seems like it would be very small if all 20 people were occupied. There were no guests staying on the day I used it, so I was able to use it comfortably by myself. Next time, I thought it would be better to just pay a little more and go to a motel. The owner was very friendly and nice. Towels are provided, and bread and cereal are provided for breakfast. You can also make fried eggs. You can use a hair dryer on the first floor. If you are a young person in your 20s, I think you can get along with a lot of people. I think it will be a fun experience.

There is a self check-in available at the front desk, but for some reason it didn’t work so ended up talking to the reception staff anyway, which is okay.
While the main features of the room were clean (bedding, bathroom…), the air con unit was completely black with mould inside. Unfortunately I have some mould allergies, and so I had some reactions overnight.
The room also had some strange marks on the wall.. I think that the quality of the room looks better in the photos than the reality…
While I did book this place a little bit last minute (a few weeks in advance, but during peak time), it was overpriced for what it was (150,000₩ per night with a coupon).
It’s certainly not the worst place in the world, but I probably wouldn’t stay again if I had to choose.

GGuest UserSuper nice sea view , room look exactly like the photo . Room with simple cooking equipment that u can cook ramen or little snack . Dryer , towel all those basic things are provided. But 2 things u have to take notes , this homestay type of property doest not have reception or person incharge at the area , even during check in , so make sure u contact with trip.com to get the check in information before u reach there , or else if u can speak korean or u will need to at-least have a number that can call Korean number to contact property management when u arrive and tell them u need check in , i think simple English like “check in “ they can understand. If u don’t have any number that can call or did not contact trip earlier on to get the information, u will be there and wait and u can’t check in smoothly for sure . Secondly this location is far from the city area (like ktx/ bus express terminal and anmok beach ) this location is only near to sundubu gelato by foot about 20min. My suggestion is if u wanna stay here , prepare food and drink and stay whole day just in room to enjoy the view of sea and nice room if u did not driving . Basically for the view and nice room , I will come back again .
