It is far from the main area of the hot spring town. You need to climb the hill and walk for about five minutes to the main street. If you have large luggage, it is recommended to contact the hotel. The hotel's open-air hot spring is great. There are two Chinese ladies, and communication is barrier-free.

The service staff are very kind and attentive. When checking out, the gentleman at the counter for other consumption amounts said that you cannot pay by card and you have to pay in cash, but there is a sign at the counter that you can pay by card and it does not say that you must pay in cash. I feel a little strange.

The hotel is located about a 7-minute drive from Kurokawa Onsen Street, which is a quiet place in a bustling city, but it is not recommended for people without a car. But the dinner was absolutely delicious, of Michelin quality, and overall it was a very good choice.

Miyama Sansou opened in 2014 with all rooms as private rooms, following in the footsteps of Shinmeikan, with 120 years of tradition, and Yamamizuki, which opened in 1989.
Compared to Yamamizuki, the facilities were naturally better, but the so-called Western
I felt more scent
In terms of customer service, the downside is that you can't expect omotenashi.
However, the kaiseki and room condition were great.

The hotel is remote, and you have to take a taxi to go to Kurokawa Naka. Apart from the remote and inconvenient location, the hotel environment is good, away from the hustle and bustle, and there are waterfalls nearby. The staff are friendly and can communicate in simple English. The kaiseki cuisine and breakfast at night are very rich and delicious! The hot spring next to the room is huge!

GGuest UserThe hotel is located at the centre of 黑川溫泉區, which is quite rural so highly recommended to go by car.
The service is excellent! The staff helped us to park the car and take the luggages up the stairs to our Japanese style family room.
We have ordered full board package and both meals are gorgeous.
There are many onsens in the hotel which are non-reserved and private, allowing family to enjoy onsen together. One drawback is that there are many stairs so elderly might have to take it into consideration.

GGuest UserThis is a small and exquisite family hotel. The staff is kind and friendly. There are two hot springs, indoor and outdoor. I booked a room with two meals and two single beds with a tatami. It is clean and tidy. There is a separate toilet but no bathroom. You have to go to the hotel's hot spring area to take a bath. But this is also very convenient. After all, such a good hot spring, I will definitely enjoy it before going to bed and in the morning. The outdoor hot spring is so comfortable, it's worth the trip

DDenis ProvVery pleasant impressions from staying in this place. Spacious and clean rooms in a traditional style with a view of the river. Very tasty dinner and breakfast (you can choose Western).
Family baths are not very big, it is comfortable for two people, if there are three or four of you - it will be cramped.
From the ryokan we were driven by car to the bus stop, which was very convenient considering our heavy suitcases.

, hot spring baths have a variety of options, private baths are free and can be entered directly if no one is using them. Dinner is a buffet with sushi and hot pot. There are not many choices but they are all flavors that the public will like. , you can go to the nearby shopping street at night, and there are lights near the bridge. The environment is very beautiful, and other services and environment are also very good. It is worth visiting again.

It was raining heavily that day, but one of the staff helped to wipe down our luggage when it wasn't necessary and helped to bring it up to the room as we were too early for check-in. When we came back, the luggages were near a heater for quick drying... just a neat detail that we very much appreciated.
The dinner and breakfast were one of our most delicious and memorable meals in Japan. Words are not enough to describe it!
The outdoor hot spring doesn't have much a view, but it was still nice! Hope I am able to come back and enjoy the ryokan experience again!

GGuest UserThe room is large, well-equipped, and has good sanitary conditions. It has a separate hot spring bathroom with very slippery hot spring water and a nice view outside the bathroom. Breakfast and dinner are served at the main hotel, and the Japanese set meals are very good. The main hotel has indoor and outdoor hot springs, and the men's outdoor hot spring allows mixed bathing. It is not far from the main hotel and there is a shuttle bus to the main hotel and Kurokawa Onsen bus stop, and the service is friendly.

JJackieXThe hot spring hotel in Kurogawa was not booked, and Trip.com chose a holiday house in the nearby Tibetan hot spring. Arrive before 6 o'clock, otherwise the staff will get off work. The house is very old, the name is ”Mei”, and the other house is a very new one and should be much more comfortable. The kitchen is fully equipped; The indoor hot spring is very hot, you have to try the temperature before entering the water. The towels are small and you have to bring your own bath towels.

GGuest UserFrom already travelled to another rakuten villa, I came with high expectation. I can definitely say that the villa is on par with the other ones. It has a very big living space, very well cleaned, newly built, plenty of equipments and amenities. I believe what stands out the most is the private Onsen and sauna, which is not offered in many places.
Travelers would want to travel here when there is day light, I went during the night and it was pitch black, the road is narrow, windy and uphill which required high level of cautiousness.
Overall a highly recommend this place when travelling to nearby region.

The design of the cabin is stunning. The two-story independent cabin allows children to climb up and down as much as they like. The owner of the B&B is very enthusiastic. Even if he doesn't understand the language, he tries his best to use translation software to introduce Kurokawa Onsen's attractions and B&B facilities. It really makes people feel like returning to their hometown.
Kurokawa is very quiet at night, and you can really enjoy the tranquility and leisure of the deep mountain hot springs.
The cabin is fully equipped and can be used for simple cooking. I cooked Japanese sukiyaki pot with the children in the cabin, which was very satisfying!
The outdoor hot spring in the B&B is another amazing place. Because it was summer, we didn’t make a reservation for the hot spring. The owner of the B&B enthusiastically invited us to enjoy it (unexpectedly). Unexpectedly, it turned out to be an independent open-air hot spring. I highly recommend making a reservation. It’s too Feel comfortable!
The next day, the children were very reluctant to say goodbye to the owner of the B&B and the owner's dog. Along the way, they still missed the comfortable bed (actually just a tatami sleeping mat) in the B&B. I will definitely visit again next time I have the opportunity!
