Very distinctive homestay, with careful decoration. In the castle, it is more convenient to go shopping and eat, to watch the castle and see the sea. There is a kitchen but you can only make coffee and tea. You can't cook without a pot or stove. The car has to park outside the castle.

Such a unique stay as a family at this great hotel! We'd happily stay again. Rooms are super clean, traditional with a modern twist, spacious and comfortable. Great views, great breakfast each morning, great service from staff. Some tips: - If travelling by own rental car, drop off family members at the castle gate with luggage and get spouse to find a parking spot somewhere on the road that leads up to the castle. May take a few u-turns to find one but you will, then you'll have to walk up. There is no parking inside the castle. - Call the hotel Likinia reception (the daughter speaks moderate English) and ask for porter to come help with luggage and guide you to the reception. - there are several hotels within the castle complex, so you will need the porter to lead you there. - travel lightly (don't take too many bags) if you're staying here as there are loads of steps. - take shoes that will be comfortable for lots of walking inside the complex - no high heels. - There is a sign not far from the Hotel that indicates where you can take a dip in 'Sea' - take a towel, wear your bathers and join locals in an invigorating dip in the sea. Just keep an eye on the weather and winds. The owners are super lovely. The older couple don't speak a lot of English, but their adult children do. A really enjoyable experience and we can't wait to go back. Enjoy!

We were lucky enough to find this beautiful guest house in Monemvasia just 3 days before our arrival, even though it was a high season. When we arrived in the castle, the reception was located 100m from the gate. A really kind lady welcomed us and led us to the room. We were more than surprised with both the location and the room itself. The room was for 4 guests, having a double bed and two single beds. The whole guest room is made out of stone and has an old fashioned kind of style, making you feel like traveling in another century. It also had a small kitchen with some basic stuff like an induction stove, a pot, a coffee machine and dishes, etc. The room was very clean, it offered small bottles of shampoo and shower gel. We also appreciated the quality of both the towels and the sheets. Also another advantage was that breakfast was included in the price. It was served in a wonderful outdoor space full of trees. The breakfast included lots of homemade jams, fresh fruits, eggs, traditional pies and of course juice and coffee. We highly recommended and we are looking forward to visiting it again. Thank you for the wonderful hospitality!

Ideal place to chill out, just seconds away from the beautiful Ampelakia beach. Staff is super helpful and friendly. You are the best! Quality restaurants also nearby. Monemvasia castle is 5 minutes away by car so you can visit there anytime. We had a great time! Very recommended.

Good sized room - very clean, along with the bathroom, and amazing views from the balcony to 'The Rock' of Monemvasia. Plenty of parking right outside, beach just across the road, and easy walking distance to tavernas for meals. Also easy walking distance to Monemvasia village and the climb to the top. Breakfast was excellent (served next door for 6 euros each) and good value. Would have no hesitation recommending the Filoxenia, and would definitely stay again.

We specifically requested a room with few stairs and a sea view, and we were given exactly that—an antique-filled Ottoman style room (A1) with a balcony overlooking the main square and the sea—perfect for us. We had been worried about having to park outside the town gate and drag our luggage through town, but the reception area is only a few meters inside the gate, and the hotel supplied an amazing porter to carry the baggage to our room. We especially appreciated the comfortable bed with good reading lights, and the drying rack on the balcony. Despite its central location, the room was surprisingly quiet at night, and we could not believe the zillions of stars above. The folks in reception were very helpful and gave us an excellent map and great advice. Breakfast was in a separate building and there was a huge variety of delicious items. Most of the town’s restaurants are only a few steps away from the rooms. We particularly liked Matoula for its great service and beautiful sea view and ate there several times. Galera Gelato was another favorite for their irresistible ice cream. The town is very small and walkable but is not easy for anyone with mobility challenges; the cobblestones and stairs require extra caution. It’s definitely worth a hike up the cliff to see the Upper Town, and outside the east wall to visit the lighthouse. This beautifully preserved town is absolutely magical, and the Byzantino Hotel is the perfect place to stay to soak up its historical atmosphere.

GGuest UserLady of the house, Eleni, made my stay exceeding my expectations, by preparing a tasty breakfast. In this season breakfasts are usually not served, but I was offered it only because I asked. The choice of eggs, toasts, jams, varied fruits, croissants, milk, yoghurt, tea/coffee, cereal, sandwiches, meat. Another best thing is the location: right at the entrance to the island, offering a perfect view. This is the best location for all people who are crazy about photography. I took plenty of nice picture from two balconies: one towards Monemvasia castle and another towards the harbor. The object is clean and well maintained. All workers are welcoming and show interest. I wish them all good luck in business and many satisfied guests, especially those crazy about taking pictures:). Good job, well done, Eleni and the team!! :)

EElifeCVilla Diamanti was a pleasant surprise during our stay in Greece. It offers very clean rooms directly on the sea. The reception was excellent, always smiling and available you feel easily at home. Our room was wide and clean, directly on the sea. We loved to sleep with the sound of waves. There is a small refrigerator and a common kitchen where you can make coffee and coffee. It is just a few minutes walk from the country's beach and the ancient centre of Monemvasia, and is next to the largest supermarket in the area. We have been very good, we recommend this place to anyone who wants to visit Monemvasia and enjoy the wonderful Greek hospitality.

Very Good
The Hotel Flower of Monemvasia looks very attractive from the outside. We get a large room with two bedrooms and a nice balcony. The bathroom had a shower with a curtain. The toilet paper holder was broken, the room door was stuck and it was cold in the room - very cold. In the two days we managed to heat the room to 20°C. There was only one chair in the rooms. The breakfast was sufficient. The cleaner mopped the room with a lot of water, which due to the cold floor caused us to almost fall on the slippery floor. It took over an hour before it was safe to move around the room again.
