The Premier Inn bed lived up to expectations as the best around for sleep quality. Breakfast was good. The hotel is well located for the railway station, there are several restaurants in the vicinity and it is an easy walk to the city centre.
A bottle of water in the room would be welcome

Great Hotel, with lovely rooms ( I tad dated for some tastes). Service was first class, with a lovely meal in the brasserie eaten. Breakfast is high standard with good old table service, the brasserie is a lovely room for meals. Wife had a massage in the spa, which was one of the best she had had!
Car park near Hotel, cases taken to room, staff very friendly and more than happy to help.
Location right in the middle of Chester for close access to shops, Bars and restaurants
Only Negative, Breakfast could have been hotter. And added service charges to bill automatically.
Drinks are very expensive, but to be expected for a 5 start Hotel
I thought it would only take 5 minutes to get there, but it ended up taking 20 minutes in the rain.
I found out that the agency platform charges about 30% more.
The community hotel has no elevator, so I had to carry my luggage up by myself.
Then I found out that the room was so small that I couldn't unfold my suitcase to take things.
The breakfast was a typical British breakfast, which was enough to fill my stomach.
What I couldn't accept was that there was no place to put my luggage after I checked out, and they said they were not responsible for the safety of my luggage. No one looked after my luggage, which was really unexpected.
Finally, the old lady suggested taking my suitcase to a locker at the station and spending a few dollars to store it. The actual result was that Chester Station didn't have this service. I was stunned!
There are two other hotels 3 minutes away from the station, such as Lloyd Hotel, which is better, and the actual price is about 55~60 pounds.
The hotel in great location very close to bars and restaurants đ easy to find .The room was very small and didn't have hair dryer, we asked for one on reception, they said that they could bring us hair dryer but never did !Isolation in rooms are very bad, could here everyone from rooms next to us .

Outstanding
GGuest UserLovely fully equipped apartment. Was surprised to see such a gem just 5 mins away from the city centre. Endless supply of coffee, hot chocolate and water from the reception, and fresh Croissant provided for breakfast.
This can be for long or short stays as it has all required kitchen equipment. The air conditioner works really well, iron, ironing board, a safe for keeping items, and multiple wall socket points.
Parking is ÂŁ10 overnight and wifi with good strength.
A study/work table is also available .
Truly loved it and can't wait to stay here again
DDrVicThe location of this hotel is great, very close to Chester and all the attractions around.
In terms of the room, our room was very spacious and the bed was very big. However it was two singles joined together, so a gap between the two.
This is probably where the good bits end. The size of the room and bathroom really was a positive though, especially travelling with a baby.
We had to pay ÂŁ5 to hire a travel cot and in the end we didnât use it. The cot mattress appears to have never been replace and was very thin and lumpy, making it redundant. The wooden slates at the bottom of the crib could be felt very dominantly through what was left of the mattress, meaning our baby was waking up uncomfortable and we had to transfer him to the bed.
In terms of things that could do with improvement:
Cleanliness
The room floor was very dirty and could have benefited from an additional vacuum. Initially I put this down to arriving on New Yearâs Day and then having a lot of people check out that day, but the whole hotel appeared a little bit grubby on closer inspection.
The spa pool was exceptionally dirty. The floor coming out of the changing room covered in hair and general dirt. The showers looked like they hadnât had a good scrub in months, with yellow build up all over the floor and walls. Not what you expect from a spa! To top it off after swimming I have contracted the Norovirus.
Service
Our first encounter with the reception staff was great the lady very welcoming and friendly. We met the cleaner as well who was also lovely. The rest of the staff we encountered were not so great. Either rude or disinterested, I get that it might not be your dream job but service with a smile goes a long way.
Facilities
The hot water takes a while to come through at busier times, this is signposted in the room. However, the water does not get very water at all. It does come through at a pleasant temperature, but not great if you like a bath or shower on the warmer side.
There are three times a day when you can go swimming with children. It would be great if these times were restricted to children/families only, as there were quite a few adults sitting around the poolside and in the hot tub.
Breakfast was ok, but a lot of the time left uncovered.
Overall not a great stay and would be unlikely to stay again.
GGuest UserI thoroughly enjoyed my stay. A building with a history, Victorian era. Staff were friendly and the paintings around the walls are beautiful.
The room was clean, large and the bed was just right, not too soft.
Great location, just across the station and convenient to walk to town and other sites of interest. I would stay there again.
GGuest UserA little piece of heaven! The room was very comfortable, well designed and with lovely nautical features throughout. On arrival, parking was excellent, friendly helpful staff, within minutes we were sat by the window, overlooking the fast flowing river, being entertained by the wildlife whilst enjoying a well earned drink after a nearly three hour drive! Location was perfect, breakfast, a joy! A birthday treat for my special girl which couldn't of been better, we will return.
TT5732A decent and new-build hotel. At a convenient location, near a Waitrose, the town centre and Chester railway station. Recommended for those who would like to stay at Chester. The only problem is some of the light bulbs is broken. And I would like to say Chester is a great town with many historical buildings.
EEllen TrownSecond time we've stayed at this hotel. Very friendly staff, excellent service, nothing is too much trouble. Excellent place in the centre of Chester for shops and the Christmas market.
Lovely rooms and excellent service in the restaurant.
Would recommend and we will definitely be back.
GGuest UserChecking in at the main Oddfellows hotel was smooth but it would have helped to have the exact address of the apartment in advance, so we could park more easily. There is one parking space at the apartment but it is a tight entrance!
Apartment 5 was upstairs and very spacious. The lounge/kitchen/diner was well set up and the tea and coffee available was very welcome. Bedrooms and bathrooms were large, comfy and clean (but could do with a few hooks for towels or coats). There is even a laundry room. Decof is quirky and the location is great - just off the main streets. Fabulous place to stay.
HHowellCathBrilliant hotel and location. Breakfast queue was the only thing which may have been an issue but we were there early so no problem. But could do with looking at how this is set up at busy times. Loved the whole visit.
GGuest UserFor the most part, this is a lovely hotel. It cost us around ÂŁ7 for a taxi into Chester and the rooms are clean. The majority of staff are incredibly friendly. However, while out during the day our keys were deactivated to force us to the reception so that the manager could corner me about where my car was parked - which had been mentioned to another member of staff during check in and they had said it wasn't a problem. She had been trying to call me on the hotel room phone âall dayâ, which is a ridiculous approach as who sits in their room all day? If she had just called me on my mobile number, which was used to book the room, I would have happily come back and moved the car. She demanded I move it in that moment and I explained that I'd had a drink but I'd move it in the morning. She then said she would move my car, which I wasn't comfortable with. She then walked away from me and wouldn't allow a rational, adult conversation. The tone and attitude were accusatory and her frustration clearly misdirected when she has made no realistic efforts to contact me; we were in the hotel until 11am and, as I said, I had my phone with me all day. I tried to explain to the reception staff why my car was where it was, and that I had discussed it on a rival and was dismissed with a âwell I wasn't there so I wouldn't knowâ then she smirked at another guest. It's such a shame that has really put a dampner on the stay for us, as it was totally unnecessary.
Llilythe service apartment is clean. It is close to the city centre. The rooms are big and comfortable. The kitchen is nice. I am sure that I will book this hotel again and highly recommend to my friends.
