Stayed here as part of a group tour going to the Oberammergau passion play. The hotel is about a half hour drive from Oberammergau itself. The hotel at first seemed quite old fashioned with lots of wood and patterned carpets and a very rickety single lift. However the hotel is actually a very nice mix of old and modern. With a very nice seating area in the reception area and a nice bar area. Our room was on the 2nd floor, we did manage to squeeze 3 people into the tiny rickety lift, but it wasn’t easy. The only plus was at least the lift was fast. The room was nice with a separate seating area, the beds initially seemed soft, but actually were comfortable, the storage was good and there was a decent flat screen TV. There was also a safe, which I couldn’t initially get to work as there were no instructions, however I asked at reception for help and they sent housekeeping very quickly to show me how it worked. They also sent someone to change the pillows which were far too soft. The bathroom/shower room was very nice, obviously recently upgraded, it was very clean and modern with nice toiletries and bathrobes were included. We had a very nice balcony which would be nice to sit out on, unfortunately we had no time (or energy) to do this. The restaurant is on the ground floor, with a nice selection on the menu which we enjoyed. The staff were lovely very friendly and helpful. Breakfast was served in the conservatory area, which was frankly cold as breakfast was early and the windows were open as was the door. Breakfast was continental with some hot food, scrambled egg and one other hot side. The reason I’ve given 4 stars instead of 5 is there was no air conditioning in our room, the room was very hot, we left the window open of course, but that just let more hot air in, also the lift really was poor and breakfast was really quite chilly with windows and door open in the early morning.
This a very nice vintage style hotel in the best street of Pa area. The hotel staff is so friendly and courteous. Nice bar, nice restaurant too. We stayed for a night only but would have loved to stay longer. Rooms are big with super views, nice balcony and big bathrooms. Beds are comfortable. Before I booked I had read some reviews on old furniture/ furnishings.. but trust me, it’s very clean and well maintained. The hotel room has old style furniture but it is well maintained and very very clean. We booked a breakfast in advance and then did not have it as we were not hungry. The staff was ready to adjust it against any other F&B bill, which we think was amazing service. Finally because they were fully sold out for dinner, they refunded the amount in cash. Truly impressed with this.. Go for Atlas Grand Hotel.. you will love it.
Hello Das Graseck team, as asked, I am sharing my opinion on our stay in your hotel. Almost everything was great, the staff, the facilities, and the room. The only disappointment was related to the restaurant. We ordered cocktails, nicely presented, however they each came with a plastic straw cut in half. I don't think that it matches the standard of your hotel. Switching to metal or glass straws would be an improvement, and also look nicer. The second point is regarding the 4-course menu. As asked during the reservation I mentioned that both of us are vegetarian. When the evening came, I was expecting a 4-course menu, with a starter, main dish, cheese and dessert, specially crafted by the chef and aligned to transport us gustatively, however it was not the case. It was rather a 'A la carte' menu. - The starter was with tomatoes, this is not a winter ingredient. - The crabs pea cream, was made vegetarian by removing the crabs. - Out of the three main dishes, one was with fish, one with meat and only one with grilled vegetables. That is a poor choice for a vegetarian person. An additional vegetarian choice would have been greatly appreciated. Most likely if you can eat fish, you can eat meat and vegetables, making you have a greater choice than just one dish. - The dessert, a 'fondant au chocolat' was not fondant. It was warm, slightly soft, but not fondant. In general the price of 25Euros for the menu, with so few choices for vegetarian is arguable. Adding another vegetarian dish and making it a real 4-course menu experience would better match the standard of Das Graseck. This will not prevent us from coming again in your cozy hotel.

We enjoyed a fantastic week in this beautiful, mountainous part of Bavaria and were particularly pleased with the quality of the Hotel Zugspitze. Its friendly staff made us most welcome, the cuisine was excellent, the facilities first class and we will book again. Thank you to all the staff, especially for going the extra mile and so efficiently and effectively returning one of our mobile phones that we accidentally left in our room - top class service even after we'd left!

Hotel Alpengruss was amazing! The rooms are recently renovated and absolutely beautiful. They are also very well soundproofed, if that is a concern. The owner family are all very friendly and helpful. Breakfast is excellent! No need to post photos, because the ones posted by the hotel are perfectly accurate. I communicated a number of times via email from the US with Gabi and Ana prior our arrival and they were always responsive. We stayed in the Junior Suite, and I felt the rate was very reasonable, particularly considering the quality of the lodging and the breakfast.
Horrible experience, in terms of my second day stay and my experience in the restaurant.
I was only going to stay in this hotel on Friday, and Saturday Sunday elsewhere. Given the Friday night well spent there and with a nice room, I canceled my original Sunday plan and booked one more night with Aja. I left the hotel then I came back. I was downgraded from 3rd floor inner circle to the 3rd floor street view room, after I complaint about the street noise, the hotel reception downgraded me even more from the 3rd floor to 1st floor a room in front of the construction site. I do not know what else to say, after telling the reception I am a light sleeper, really needed this vacation which I paid and deserve. She still two times, give me bad rooms.
In the end I paid extra to upgrade from Mountain View Standard Room type to their Junior Suite type. I paid 50 euros. And after all, even though I am not getting a actual junior suite, I am glad that after all of these troubles I gone through, I finally get to have a room that is quite for my sleep and a place for my vacation :)
So you need to know, they do have a very limited number of rooms that are good for an vacation. And you never know which room they will assign you. They have such different tiers and environment for all of their rooms.
The place is like a small village with buildings scattered across a large area. The ground is neglected (camp grounds like) and poorly lit and difficult to navigate in the dark. There is not much of any service offered when checking in. The overall service is not bad but definitely not a good one. When a guest asked during breakfast if he could take just coffee to go, the answer was that it was NOT POSSIBLE. While one could see that the grounds were under some construction, it was very disappointing that the entire place looked neglected and we didn’t see anyone attending to any part of the outdoor. The entrance to our building was covered with a torn outdoor carpet and locations of room numbers were left for us to guess. Our 123 room was one level downstairs, while the room in the entrance was 132, go figure the logics. No A/C in the rooms and it gets pretty hot and sweaty during the night. The rooms are nice and very spacious while the bathroom are very tight and difunctional. The bathtub is deep and elevated, which makes it difficult to get in and out. The place overall is not maneuverability friendly and there is a lot of walking to get to the room. They do not allow you to drive into the grounds for luggage dropping. Breakfast buffet was very nicely stocked while the layout of the buffet was disfunctional although the space is very large. People were stepping over each other in the different food lines while the seating area was large enough to accommodate twice the number of guests. Overall, there is nothing to make this place a “go to place “ but if no other choice. It is not a bad one. I would not recommend the place for any specific attributes.
Clean and free water was provided. I also found my lost wallet and the counter staff was so friendly. It was a pity that it leaked a little even if it was watered by the bathtub, but it was only a sense of the bathtub. Recommended
Let’s start by saying that you cannot please everybody. I came here with my family, and we booked two rooms, one for the kids and the loft-style one for the wife and me. This review is based on this experience. I am not sponsored nor incentivized by the hotel. Although there were some outside parking spots, I chose to go underneath the hotel out of sheer curiosity. I’ve enjoyed that quite a bit. I could send the kids to the parking house if they forgot a jacket, or headphones inside the car. There are three major highlights of this place: the first is the view. The hotel faces a mountain wall where you can see the morning sun stretch itself all over it. You can see the town sprawled right at the base of this enormous mountain wall. This is an objective way to review where you are in life and make you think of things bigger than yourself. If you are not into that kind of thing, I can understand. The second is the layout of the hotel. Bear with me on this one, seeing that I am not an architect but a customer. The rooms are not stacked on top of each other like a high-rise. Instead, they are arranged in a fashion where you go to a different department for the pool, then you head to a different department for the parking, and another one for your room. I found it very interesting because navigating inside feels like an adventure. The hotels have at least five elevators. I was baffled to see so many elevators in a hotel in Germany. If walking is not your thing, take the Aufzug. Last thing, this one my family enjoyed quite a bit and that is the restaurant. It is a buffet style for the morning and a reservation in the afternoon. The part worth mentioning here is the delivery and seamliness of the crew operating those restaurants (there are two of them). I am not talking about customer service but intent on ensuring you enjoy your time while eating there. A whole bunch of young people are well-trained in what they do. Of course, some honorable mentions are the pool, the sauna (three styles), the gym, the EV parking, the lake behind the hotel, the hiking path behind the hotel, the game room at the lobby, the dress code, the bar, and lastly the undeniable peace and quiet. I am fortunate to be able to stay there with my family. Nevertheless, we all know there are things in life one simply cannot pay for them.

Bavarian Alps
老老少皆宜(程世荣)Bavaria in Germany is located at the foot of the Alps and has been Germany's granary since ancient times. The land here is fertile, the pastures are lush, and it is a major production area for grain and animal husbandry, so there are abundant commodities and a prosperous market.

Partnach Gorge
乖乖小咪The Paltnach Valley in Galmish is definitely a pristine valley with a beautiful landscape. The peaks are towering and the forest is dense. The oxygen ions in the air are very sufficient, it is a natural oxygen bar, and the pasture here is also a famous livestock land in Germany. There are many cattle and sheep growing healthily here. The scenery is really fascinating.
Ettal Abbey
隨隨時出走The really beautiful Ettal Church is free to visit.
The tall and majestic Benedictine monastery still has monks practicing and is still in use. It is a gorgeous Baroque style church. Be sure to see the beautiful frescoes in the dome! There is also a distillery, so you have to hold a bottle of wine before leaving. The bookstore sells many interesting books (in German).
