Wir waren nur fünf Tage da aber sie waren Balsam für die Seele. Die Zimmer waren sehr sauber, das Essen ausgesprochen lecker. Alle waren sehr freundlich und zuvorkommend. Der Blick zum Wildstrubel, das Plätschern der Engstligen, ein gutes Umfeld, was will man mehr?

We booked Hotel rooms for a party of 17 people, for a birthday party, including dinner, during the first weekend in July 2021. Everyone enjoyed the stay, explored the area on foot, or relaxed in the SPA area. We enjoyed two dinners and were, in general, happy with the offered choices, which include vegetarian options as well. Overall, we can recommend the Hotel in regards to all aspects! Das „The Cambrian“ ist ein sehr gut geführtes Haus mit Wellness-Einrichtung in Adelboden. Die Rezeption ist sehr höflich. Man bekommt, und das ist nur noch selten der Fall, sein Hotelzimmer gezeigt und erläutert. Das war sehr angenehm. Das Hotelzimmer (Junior Suite ist Panorama-View) war sehr schön eingerichtet. Bequemes Bett, Sofa mit Wohnzimmertisch, großer Flachbildfernseher, Telefon und grosses Badezimmer mit Dusche, sorgten für einen angenehmen Aufenthalt. Der Zimmerservice war ebenfalls ausserordentlich freundlich und Rücksichtsvoll. Der Wellnessbereich besteht aus einem Innenpool mit kaltem Wasser und einem Aussenpool mit warmen Wasser. Weiterhin besteht die Möglichkeit zum Sauna Gang in einer Trockensauna bei 85 Grad Celsius sowie einem Dampfbad. Wellness-Angebote wie beispielsweise Massagen sind buchbar und man sollte diese bereits bei Hotelbuchung buchen, da sehr gefragt. Die Damen und Herren im Wellnessbereich erstehen ihr Handwerk und sind ebenfalls sehr freundlich und hilfsbereit. Kommen wir zum Restaurant und zum Frühstück. Bei Frühstück gibt es wohl alles was man sich wünscht. In einem schönen Ambiente mit Panoramasicht kann man hier sein Frühstück genießen. Aber auch beim Abendessen gibt es nichts zu meckern. Ausgezeichnete Küche und ausgezeichneter Service erwartet hier den Gast. Selbst wenn man vom Menü etwas austauschen möchte, ist dies sofort möglich. Auch hier darf ich die Freundlichkeit und Serviceorientiertheit des Personals hervorheben. Das Personal spricht Deutsch, Englisch, Französisch und Kroatisch. So zumindest habe ich es mitbekommen; aber nicht jeder spricht Deutsch, was allerdings nicht wirklich ein Problem darstellt, da die Anzahl der Servicekräfte herausragend ist. Für PKW´s gibt es kostenpflichtige Parkplätze vor dem Hotel und in der Tiefgarage. 18 CHF pro Nacht zahlt man hier für die Unterbringung des Fahrzeugs. Auch Hunde sind willkommen, 35 CHF pro Nacht ist für die Unterbringung des Wau Wau zu zahlen. Dies dürfte in der Tat etwas billiger sein, denn Futter etc ist mitzubringen. Wir hatten ein wunderschönes verlängertes Wochenende und freuen uns bereits jetzt auf unseren nächsten Besuch.

I had never heard of Kandersteg before and nor had anyone else that I spoke to about Switzerland but when I found this hotel on the Inghams website I decided to take a chance. I’m so glad I did! It is surrounded by mountains and just outside the small town and is both lovely, inside and out. We had two rooms, one ambience room for the children and we were upgraded to a suite, both rooms were spacious and very clean and had stunning views of the mountains. The inside pool was a big hit as was the snooker room and back from days out for tea and cake at 4pm a really nice little extra. Food was always going to be tricky as I’m the first to admit that I’m a bit fussy but the waiters were professional and friendly and always helpful with menu choices and swapping things around for us! Reception staff were very pleasant and picked us up and dropped us back to the train station when we arrived and departed. The only thing if I was being super picky would be the daily news, all written in German about the weather, things going on and menus for the evening. English guests seem to be the minority in the hotel which I am more than happy with but for when English guests are staying there, a copy in English would be really nice as we missed some of the important news for one of the evenings about a music night and then the waiters were surprised when we knew nothing about it! All in all a stunning location and perfect for day trips using the local buses, trains and cable cars

The hotel is in a small town, the surrounding environment is superb, there are many foreigners coming to climb the mountain, there is a cable car to go up the mountain at the foot of the mountain, you can go back and forth, you can also go hiking, the door and the opposite are the hotel's free parking lot, breakfast is very rich, it is us The most expensive breakfast in Europe, the restaurant owner is very domineering, saying that several houses are her, huh, huh, show off the rich.
