"My recent stay at the Xigu Hotel was absolutely perfect! The elegant décor and pleasant fragrance captivated me upon entering the lobby. The front desk staff was friendly and professional, and check-in was efficient and attentive. The room was warm and clean, with soft, comfortable bedding, and all the smart amenities, including one-touch controls for lighting and curtains. Every detail was meticulously crafted to perfection. Breakfast is made immediately in the kitchen, the soy milk is delicious~~ The noodles are also delicious~ The children finish a big bowl of noodles every morning! There is also Tremella soup in the evening~ The first night the lady in the store waited for us until very late, so cold to pick us up in the parking lot, really thank you~ It was an experience beyond expectations~ Recommended!

GGuest UserI was initially torn between booking a hotel or a guesthouse, and I was so pleasantly surprised to find such a clean and well-maintained guesthouse. There's an elevator, which was a huge plus as I didn't have to climb any stairs. The owner provided excellent service. Even on a rainy day, the river view from the guesthouse was delightful; I could simply relax on the sofa and enjoy it. It was incredibly serene. The room was very spacious, the bed was huge, and the duvet was super comfortable. As a thoughtful parting gift, they even gave me some traditional local ginger candy.

From the moment I arrived, the experience was seamless and kind. The manager had even shared directions with my taxi driver to help me find the hotel more easily, and someone came to pick me up right at the entrance of the city — such a thoughtful touch!
The hotel is well located, and my room was spacious — a little worn, but very comfortable with a nice view.
What truly made the difference was the manager’s exceptional kindness. He helped me plan my itinerary, assisted me in booking my bus ticket, and even drove me to the station himself. He waited with me until the bus arrived — such generosity is rare and truly appreciated.
A heartfelt thank you! I highly recommend this place for its comfort and genuine hospitality.

CConstance 罗心雅The hotel room was very clean and comfortable. The staff was absolutely adorable, welcomed us with oranges and gave us a free upgrade. The hotel is located 2min away from the East Gate of the Fenghuang Old City. They kept our bags for free while we were visiting. The hotel lady came with us to the bus station when we were about to leave.
If you are coming by train, we recommend you take line 2 from the train station (Fenghuang Gu Cheng) and get down at Nanhuali. The hotel is two min away from the bus station.

GGuest UserI had an extra day to spend in my China trip and decided to take a chance and visit Phoenix ancient town for a day. I heard it was better at night so I decided to spend the night and booked the top floor of this stay for the view, and it did not disappoint - it was wonderful! A direct view to the center tower and bridge in town! Service was helpful and gave me a map of the area and showed me where to walk - also helped me to arrange a taxi for the morning. Be prepared there are some steps leading up to the lobby. And, Phoenix ancient town is very small so DiDi may not work there. If coming from afar, get a taxi directly from the train station.

Owners really friendly and offered free drop 9ff and pick up to the valley.
Lots of restaurants and a few shops within a couple of minute's walk.

IILOVEKIMIBefore my trip, I chose Zui Xiangxi Hotel on Ctrip after a comprehensive comparison, and I'm so glad I did. The hotel's location is excellent and easy to find, with a convenient parking lot directly in front of the main entrance. It's ideally situated, just 500 meters down the street from the Hongqiao Bridge in the ancient town. This proximity allows for easy exploration of all the attractions along both banks of the Tuojiang River. The rooms are spacious, and the beds are wonderfully wide. The Xiaodu smart control system was also a very convenient feature. The hotel is well-equipped with a variety of facilities. The large restaurant on the first floor offers an extensive breakfast. On the second floor, guests can enjoy a gym, ping-pong and billiard tables, and even foot massage services. The lobby also features a specialty shop with a wide selection of local products at reasonable prices, making it easy to grab some souvenirs. In Fenghuang Ancient Town, where guesthouses are everywhere, Zui Xiangxi Hotel truly stands out as a legitimate, comfortable option offering excellent value for money.

GGuest UserThe service of this hotel is pretty good. The hotel will arrange for someone to pick you up from the train station and send you back when you are leaving. The lady at the front desk is very friendly.
Hotel room is not big but it's functional. Certain parts of the room are slightly worn out. But for the price it's not too bad.
There's a lift in the hotel and cars can go directly to the front door of this hotel so you don't have to carry your luggages and drag them in the town.
About 10-15mins walk to the river.
Overall pretty nice stay.

Mmakia11It’s a wonderful place to stay. The room is spotless and beautifully decorated with great attention to detail. The bed was very comfortable, and the heating worked perfectly in cold weather. The location is also excellent.
The only downside was the bathtub area, which looked different from the pictures. In reality, it has a half-open window instead of a full-size one, so in winter, cold air comes in, making it too cold to take a bath. But in spring or summer, it must be a great experience!
All in all, we had a wonderful, cozy stay and would definitely recommend this hotel!

Cons:
- at the top of a BIG hill (it says elevator is provided but it only brings you to the start of what are a VERY long climb of stairs to your room)
- nowhere did it say the room would only be accessible via stairs (saying they have an elevator is very misleading), only because I read a review which mentioned there were stairs did I make a special request to have my bags kept at reception as I wouldn’t be able to bring them to my room. Even though I booked and made my request in advance (via Trip.com’s process when booking), they did not even read it so I had to deal with this problem once I arrived.
- wiring in the shower (not sure if it’s save or not, but made me uncomfortable)
- due to my tier level with Trip.com I was told I would get; late check out, room upgrade and free breakfast. When they checked me in and I asked about breakfast they told me that I didn’t have it included. After showing them I did, only then did they actually look at my booking - terrible. I then asked about the room upgrade as the hotel was not fully booked and they said that this was the room upgrade… it was not, this was the room I booked (which is fine, I just don’t appreciate being lied to when you clearly didn’t look at my booking).
Overall thoughts:
- if you only have one small bag that you can carry with ease, then it’s great
- if you have large/multiple/heavy luggage don’t book here! You can get a day ticket to walk up the hill (where the hotel rooms are) for pictures of the view
- Trip.com please get this hotel to actually look at the bookings made and to honour special requests and tier privileges where possible
