Novotel Brussels Off Grand Place Reviews

It deserves to be rated 4-star. Location: convenient. Cleanliness: great. A bit noisy, though.

I really feel good and love staying at Novotel Grand Place,Brussels. Belgium was the first stop on my trip this time. The warm welcome from the Novotel staff made me feel safe and happy. The room was clean and comfortable—though not very big for the four of us, it was still spacious and well-arranged, with the added bonus of a bathtub. Breakfast was great, and I was pleasantly surprised to find a ‘Halal Food’ section, which made it easier for us as Muslims to enjoy the meal. A recommended hotel—I would definitely stay here again in the future.

Overall is good. Close to everything for sightseeing walk through just a few minutes.

Location is nearby Brussels Centraal, easy to access buses and train.. also nearby Tha Grand Off Place. Many eateries too.

Would not recommend this hotel. It’s overrated and what you see on the app will not be the same when you stay. The hotel is old and not worth the price.

Good location, near to Brussels Central train station and grand place. Many eatery too. The downside is that the rooms are not sound proof, got waken up early in the morning with all loud noises when the staff is doing the cleaning of rooms nearby.

The hotel is just few minutes walking distance from the train station. Alot of restaurants and cafes surrounding the hotel. Hotel staff are friendly and helpful too.

The hotel's location is very good; it's close to the train station, and the attractions are within walking distance. However, the downside is that it's on a street, so it remains noisy until the early morning. The sink counter has a design flaw, often making it wet. The breakfast is not very diverse.

My recent experience of staying at the Novotel in Brussels was pathetic , and I strongly advise against staying here. The service was terrible, and the staff was rude and unhelpful. Despite placing a request well in advance to have our family rooms next to each other, we were informed upon arrival that the hotel was too busy to accommodate us. Instead, we were given the two rooms on separate floors with a room with an awkward archway, which resulted in our son bumping his head. When we asked to change rooms, the staff seemed irritated and unwilling to assist. It took a lot of insistence before they finally moved us to a different room. The worst part of our stay was breakfast. I noticed a moth or an insect floating in the yogurt and informed the woman managing the buffet. She was wearing a white shirt and had no name badge. Instead of replacing it, she merely removed the insect with a spoon and left the yogurt as it was. When I confronted her about the health risk, she gave me an angry look, pretended to take it away, but clearly brought the same yogurt back out. After that, I only felt safe eating pre-packaged items like fruit and cereal. I am now planning to report this incident to food and safety department. This hotel doesn't even deserve one star. The only positive aspect is the location, but everything else was beyond disappointing. If you care about basic service and hygiene, avoid this place at all costs.
