I chose this hotel based on positive online reviews, and after checking in, I found it truly lived up to its reputation. My overall experience was fantastic. The hotel's environment is beautiful and elegant, with a clean and bright lobby and corridors that create a wonderful atmosphere. The guest rooms are well-equipped with all necessary amenities and toiletries, making them very convenient to use. What impressed me most was the bedding – the fabric was soft and gentle on the skin, and the bed was neatly made, providing an incredibly comfortable sleep. After a long journey, a night's rest here completely refreshed me. The front desk service was also impressive; the staff were polite, handled check-in quickly, and were very attentive to guests. The hotel's cleanliness was excellent too, with rooms spotless and odor-free. This hotel is suitable for both short trips and longer stays. It offers great value for money, and I'm very satisfied with my overall experience. I've already added it to my list of preferred hotels for future travel and highly recommend it to everyone.

She was diligent, responsible, and communicated with politeness and grace. She not only focused on service efficiency but also fully considered guests' feelings and privacy, making us feel incredibly secure and comfortable. The entire stay was made even smoother and more enjoyable by her dedicated service. Her professionalism and service awareness were truly outstanding. She was a wonderfully comforting presence that significantly enhanced this trip. Highly recommended, and I look forward to seeing her again next time.

You truly appreciate the charm of this century-old villa only after staying there – highly recommended! I came specifically for the ”historic building” aspect, and it genuinely exceeded my expectations! This old villa, built in 1915 and converted into a hotel, perfectly blends its historical features like red brick walls and a spiral staircase with modern interior design and amenities, making for a very comfortable stay. The location is unbeatable too: right in the heart of old Hankou, with Li Huangpi Road, the Bund, and Jianghan Road all within walking distance.

I had a very satisfying stay this time. The hotel's location is convenient for both getting around and dining. The room was clean and tidy, and the bedding was soft and comfortable, ensuring a good night's sleep. The front desk service was warm and attentive, check-in was efficient and quick, and all my requests were promptly addressed. The common areas were elegant and well-equipped. Overall, it offers great value for money. I'll definitely choose this hotel again next time I'm in the area, and I truly recommend it to everyone!

As a loyal customer of Ascott Group, I've stayed at numerous Ascott and Somerset properties in various cities, and this one in Wuhan truly ranks among the best. It surpasses many 5-star Ascott hotels in other cities in terms of facilities, service, and overall quality. Although the breakfast was a bit simple, it was clean, and some 5-star hotels offer equally simple breakfasts. So, you're getting a 5-star experience for a 4-star price. I'll definitely stay here again next time I visit Wuhan. The best part is having a huge mall downstairs with a Yonghui supermarket – it's incredibly convenient! Plus, my two-bedroom deluxe apartment faced a quiet residential area, which is perfect for someone like me who's a very light sleeper. I really have to praise them. Before check-in, they even asked about my preferences beyond what was in my booking, which is a level of service I haven't seen in many 5-star hotels. And the free parking in the mall? That really highlights the absurdity of paying over a hundred RMB for overnight parking at a certain 5-star hotel in Beijing – truly, no comparison, no harm! I can't even list all the good points, hahaha!

This hotel is extremely convenient, being very close to the airport, which made our travel much easier. At the beginning of our stay there were a few issues and we had to change rooms twice, but the customer service was excellent throughout. The staff were patient, responsive, and genuinely helpful in resolving everything quickly. The amenities were a big plus the gym was well-equipped, and the free laundry service was very convenient. Breakfast was also a highlight, with a very good buffet offering plenty of options. Overall, despite the initial hiccups, the great service and facilities made this a very comfortable and enjoyable stay. Would happily stay again.

The bathroom's wet and dry areas are completely separated, and the shower has great water pressure, which made for a really satisfying rinse. Usually, I have trouble sleeping in new beds, but this time I slept soundly until morning; the mattress firmness was just right. The staff were all very efficient too.

The Marco Polo Wuhan Hotel is ideally situated on Yanjiang Avenue in Jiang'an District, directly opposite Hankou Beach and right next to the renowned Li Huangpi Road. I booked a room on the 27th floor, offering panoramic views of both sides of the Yangtze River, stretching as far as the Second Yangtze River Bridge. Unfortunately, the weather wasn't cooperative during my two-day stay; the river was shrouded in mist, making it impossible to capture clear and stunning photos. The hotel's facilities and services are impeccable. The breakfast spread is extensive, and the dishes prepared in both the Chinese and Western restaurants are excellent and refined. We were particularly delighted with the Western restaurant's waiter-recommended double set menu, which offered a great variety of dishes and exceptional value for money. I had a really unpleasant experience at this hotel, largely due to their faulty UnionPay system. On the first day of Chinese New Year, during check-in, I was incorrectly charged – something that has never happened in all my years of staying at hotels. It took two full days to resolve, and throughout the process, the staff repeatedly blamed UnionPay, denying any hotel responsibility. The compensation they offered was a fruit platter, which I promptly refused. In the family room I stayed in, there were several noticeable dents on the floor near the bathroom entrance. I don't understand why they weren't repaired; instead, they were simply covered with a carpet. It was quite startling if you weren't expecting to step into one. Additionally, the bathroom lacked an exhaust fan, so any odors after using the toilet would spread throughout the entire room. Thankfully, there was a window I could open to air it out. Regarding the air conditioning, it was incredibly noisy and very slow to heat up. On the first day of my stay (Chinese New Year), the room was a chilly 22 degrees. Even after setting it to 26 degrees, it didn't reach that temperature until my check-out on the fifth day. The hotel's ground-level parking lot is tiny and often full. The underground parking spaces are also very small and difficult to navigate. Unfortunately, our MPV got scratched in the dimly lit underground lot at night. As for breakfast, for the first two days of our stay, I assume there were fewer guests, so the breakfast offerings were quite perfunctory. It only improved when more guests arrived in the following days. Overall, it was a very unsatisfactory stay!

From the online pictures, the hotel and its premises looked dated. However, the warm ambience with soft lightning, spacious walkways and pastel decorations made us look forward to returning back to the hotel everyday. You can't fault the location of the hotel - there are 2 entrances to ensure easy access to where ever you want to go. One entrance gives immediate access to pickups and dropoffs, Jiqing street, not mentioned endless restaurants, shops and street peddles lining up on both sides of the streets. The other entrance gives immediate access to the bustling pedestrian streets, McDonald's, KFC, and other countless eating and shopping options, including souvenir shops, so you could easily grab something before you depart. A mall links to the hotel as well. You could also see a group of seemingly retirees dancing outside every morning. You could also opt for food and parcel delivery and then hotel's trusty robot will deliver to your room, if not, the front door desk will assist to store for you till you collect. The room we stayed was huge and the hotel service staff was very helpful. Many items at the breakfast buffet provided by an external vendor (so we were told) was cold when we went at 7am, such as the dim sum items like the bao and dumplings, and the cooked food like fried noodles. Many of the diners were complaining amongst ourselves. However, the staff there said the food is cooked anyway, so we could still eat them. When I reflected to the front desk, we were given some other breakfast options to make up for our bad experience. A male staff even gave us some toys and souvenirs that made us smile. It is not about getting freebies. I like that the various hotel staff at the front desk cared about guest experience and tried their best within their capacity to show that they want guests to feel happy staying at the hotel. Strong hotel support is really very important to travellers because our itinerary begins and ends with the hotel. So kudos to all the hotel staff who attended to us during our stay. Usually we won't return to the same hotel so as to try other options. But I think we will return to Dorset the next time we visit Wuhan again.
