This trip is to celebrate our anniversary and we did enjoy our stay here. The staffs are friendly and smiling all the time. Comfotable room, beautiful scenery, relaxing atmosphere. Recommend.

We stayed at the hotel during Christmas and New Year. From start to finish we really had a great time with our 7 month year old. The reception staff were very accommodating. Nice place to stay at the lakes with a 20 min walk to Bo’ness

The room was incredibly small; the tiny bed wouldn't have been enough for two people. Also, for a hotel in the Lake District, transportation is very inconvenient, located high up in the mountains. On our last day, there were no taxis, so we had to walk 20 minutes down the mountain to the city. The view was okay, but if you were to dine there, you'd have the same amenities. One waiter (Figure 1) was extremely racist. I arrived earlier than the white couple behind me (Figure 2), and not only did he serve them first, but I ordered before them. My food took 30 minutes to arrive, while everyone else was almost done with breakfast. The service was clearly off. Don't be fooled by the xhs bloggers; it was a very poor value trip.

The hotel is private, the rooms are large, the beds are comfortable, and the restaurant is Michelin-rated. The breakfast is excellent. The hot dishes are cooked to order, and each one is beautifully presented and tastes excellent. The bread is especially worth trying... (There is no elevator, so someone will take your luggage to the room.)

There is no best hotel in Windermere, but it is suitable for self-driving and family travel friends, because the good will be expensive, so the cost performance is not high. The breakfast quality of the hotel is great. Friendly reminder that because it is in the mountains, there will be mosquitoes, so prepare some medicine in advance. But the scenery is invincible!

The hotel's only positive point is its beautiful setting. Transportation is extremely difficult, requiring a long walk into town. Ubers are unavailable, and taxis are scarce. The food in the hotel restaurant was surprisingly poor; we had the worst hamburgers ever. The bar and conservatory staff also seemed discriminatory against Asians. We had made a reservation for dinner for four and arrived promptly and politely. The restaurant was almost empty. As soon as the waitress showed us to a table with sofas, the male manager (presumably the manager) immediately indicated we couldn't sit there (since it was meant for six). We understood and moved to the designated four-person table. A little later, we discovered that this table was not only small but also incredibly sunny. To make matters worse, a few minutes later, another family of four arrived. Despite the other four-person table, they were seated at the six-person table. We were furious. Even more outrageous, when the waiter served my main course, he spooned the sauce onto my plate, but it accidentally dripped onto my pants. Even though he heard me scream and saw me wipe my pants with a napkin, the waiter didn't apologize and didn't even stop to scoop the soup. He was ready to leave after pouring the soup. I will never stay in this hotel again.

Let me talk about it one by one. First, the scenery is unbeatable. It is on the top of a mountain. After reading the introduction, I found that it should be a holiday resort bought by a group. In addition to the hotel, there are wineries, massage rooms and other single-family houses for rent. There is also a small artificial lake where you can go boating and horseback riding in summer. Second, the house is an old-fashioned wooden structure with poor sound insulation. The thick carpet creaks when you walk on it. You can clearly hear people passing by and talking at the door. The house has no air conditioning but heating. It was quite comfortable when I went there in late October, but I don’t know how it is in summer. I used the key shown below, which is quite cute. Third, it’s still the above problem. It’s on the top of the mountain. It’s very convenient for local British people to drive there in ten minutes. But it’s troublesome for travelers like me. It takes at least one hour to walk up and another hour to walk down. There is no UBER in the town of Bonness. You have to call to take a taxi. Moreover, there will be no taxis if you are too early or too late. For me who can hardly speak English, it’s very annoying. It gets dark at five o’clock in the UK in winter. I had to walk back from the town of Bonness after dinner. There were no lights and no people in the second half of the road. It was pitch black. I was hiking in the rain alone with only the sound of birds singing in my ears. Fortunately, I am a boy But it was also a different experience. It's still not safe for girls. It's not recommended to walk at night. Fourth, the front desk service was very good. The lady with glasses on the first day was also polite. I basically couldn't speak English, but she was still patient. The best one was the front desk lady in Rome, Italy, who I met on the second day. It seemed that she had been to Beijing and Shanghai and could speak Chinese. Thank you. She patiently taught me to order breakfast. I had to transfer to London from Windermere Station early in the morning on the third day. It was too early, and the taxi I called for me on the phone couldn't come. She actually drove me to Windermere Railway Station in the morning and then went back to work. Otherwise, I would have to walk down the mountain in the dark for more than an hour at six in the morning. I would like to say thank you very much here. I hope the Italian Rome lady will come to China again when she is free. In the evening, there will be a special regular masseur to ask if you need a massage before going to bed. On the first day, there was a beautiful woman. My English was too poor to understand what she meant. I thought she was cleaning the house. Later, I didn't ask for a massage and didn't tip her. I was really sorry. On the second night, there was a strong British man. I understood it after a while. I was afraid that I was not used to it, so I didn't ask for a massage. I gave a tip but declined it politely. It was very good. Fourth, let's talk about the hotel price The lowest price is over 3000 RMB per night. The price is not cheap. Ctrip said that breakfast is not included, but it is actually included. The breakfast is very good, a typical English breakfast. You can pay the waiter 5 pounds to send it to the room. In conclusion, if you have enough budget and want to relax and enjoy the different scenery of the British Lake District, it is definitely the first choice. But next time I go there, I will definitely translate my domestic driver's license and rent a car, otherwise my legs will be broken.

The hotel is like a manor, with pleasant scenery, picturesque views outside the window, complete and comfortable facilities, absolutely reliable hygiene, full of warmth, and professional service from the hotel staff.

The hotel environment is excellent. The hotel has its own private garden. It is located high on the hillside, and the lake view and sunset in the distance are also amazing. The room is clean and the facilities are complete. The only problem is, do British people have to wait so long for an ordered breakfast? From ordering to serving, it took us half an hour to get fruit salad, coffee, and bread. The main breakfast was not served after waiting for 45 minutes. When we asked, they said it would be ready soon, and they missed the juice we ordered. Regardless of whether we don’t understand other people’s rhythm, the waiting time is really long. Compatriots staying here should be mentally prepared. You can go down to order in advance, and then it’s a long wait, at least half an hour. At this speed, you can only order once. If you want to order once, you may have to wait for more than half an hour. It takes 45 minutes to wait for such a simple breakfast😒

The hotel is very clean and the room is simply and stylishly decorated, making you feel at home! The restaurant offers delicious breakfast and dinner with rich variety and excellent taste.
