Hotels in Badaling Great Wall/Badaling Wildlife Park, Beijing

I came here with my family some time ago. Because the experience was good, my family wanted to change the style of experience, so we booked another B&B nearby for the second night. Last time, we confused some of the reviews and ratings of the two hotels, and caused a misunderstanding! *It snowed in Beijing recently, and I took my family to the suburbs to enjoy the scenery of the snow-capped mountains and soak in hot springs, so I chose the Four Seasons Villa Private Hot Spring B&B. *You can enjoy the view of the snow-capped mountains in the hot spring of the homestay. Soaking in the steaming hot spring and admiring the ice and snow outside was the main attraction of our trip. *It is very warm inside the B&B, with floor heating and central air conditioning, which can be adjusted by yourself. The indoor facilities are quite complete. The living room is equipped with JBL speakers, which makes watching movies very exciting. There is also a karaoke machine with a relatively complete range of songs. There is a fully automatic mahjong machine and a water bar next to it, with tools for making tea, grinding coffee, and extracting coffee, so you can enjoy the slow-paced life in the suburbs. *We brought our children with us this time, so whether there is something for the children to play with was also a key consideration. The apartment we stayed in had a slide and an ocean ball, and we could also play the Subor game console on the side, so that adults and children could play by themselves. *I'd like to focus on the kitchen this time. Last time we came here, we went out to eat, because we didn't expect that the B&B would have such a complete kitchen, and it was very clean. The tableware was from IKEA, the Martian integrated stove was very easy to use, there were two sets of induction cookers and hot pots, a dishwasher, a large double-door refrigerator, a microwave oven, an electric rice cooker... So this time we came prepared, brought some ingredients, and made dinner ourselves. The restaurant also has projection cloth and a XGIMI projector, which is a very good configuration. *Each bedroom has floor-to-ceiling windows, providing good lighting. The bedroom has an independent bathroom that is separated into three areas, and the toilet has a constant temperature seat, which is quite nice. The only drawback is that the bedroom is not very big, but for the 2-bedroom apartment we booked, the overall area is very large. *About service: The housekeeper is very considerate. Considering that we have elders and children, he cleared the snow in the yard in a timely manner. If you come here on a snowy day, it is recommended to contact the B&B in advance about the road conditions. There is a big uphill slope before coming to the B&B. If there is heavy snow on the road, it is very likely that you will not be able to get up. *Location of the B&B: It is very convenient to get to the north of Beijing, such as Haidian and Changping. It is about 5-10 minutes' drive from the highway at Shuiguan Great Wall. There are many scenic spots nearby, including the popular Badaling Great Wall, the Wildlife Park, the ski resort open in winter, and the Red Leaf Ridge. ——If you have family gatherings, birthdays or small department team-building needs, this is a good choice. It meets basic entertainment needs while solving accommodation and dining problems. Plan to bring clients or colleagues here for a small gathering next time.

Visited the Great Wall with friends. We contacted the guesthouse beforehand, and they kindly offered pick-up and drop-off service from Badaling High-Speed Rail Station, which was incredibly convenient for us as we were relying on public transport. The guesthouse also has a cafe, so we never felt bored during our downtime. We enjoyed relaxing with coffee and taking leisurely walks with friends. The bedding in the room was very comfortable, and considering the price, it offered fantastic value for money. Toiletries were also provided. A truly pleasant stay!

Stayed 2 nights at the Commune by the Great Wall, an Unbound Collection by Hyatt. The resort is spread over a big acres of land within the Shuiguan area, also a short proximity to the renowned Badaling Great Wall. You have to reach there by car or by DiDi as there is no public transport to reach the Commune. This is a resort for those who wish to spend quality time, to seek refuge and to relax. The resort was designed by 12 individual renowned architects, each reflecting their own taste and styles, clearly demonstrated in the Communal Home you are staying. Each Communal Home consists of 5-6 rooms where you share common spaces such as Living, Dining, Kitchen and Courtyard with other fellow travellers. You will still have your own room and private bathroom similar to any other hotels or resorts. With the Communal Home, you can access these public area / communal area where often it is under utilised which is great for us. The room is immaculately adorned with the furniture styles of the Communal Home you have selected. There is Cantilever House (Red House), Terrace House, Suitcase House, Bamboo Wall, Forest House etc. My Bamboo Wall room is a little small in my opinion. The bedding is on a Tatami Platform. Bathroom is too big and it takes up too much space for the bedroom. There are limited spaces for the suitcase as we travel from afar. There is also no hook for clothing in the bathroom, no hook for the hand towel which is quite strange given that it is quite luxurious. We bought the package which includes daily breakfast for 2 with Shuiguan Great Wall Ticket and a High Tea. There is an outdoor swimming pool within the hotel and a gym. The pool is only open for 3 months during the summer months, not sure why the restrictions even though it is not a heated pool. During my visit, day time was hot and the air temperature was around 26-28 degrees. Though the water temperature may be way cooler, but if the pool is opened, we will probably take a dip. The breakfast is either a la carte or buffet depending on the hotel's occupancy rate. We had lunch and dinner at the hotel as well and the food is very good though it is on the pricey side. To move around the resort, you will either walk (depending on the location of your accommodation), it can be far away from the restaurant or the reception. You can call them for a car pick up. The driver 小宋 is a great asset to the property, so as our Housekeeper 小李(李鸿建), he was very attentive and observatory. He saw we have many medicine and supplements in the room and he gave us extra water and left us a note. Great initiative! In short, it is a very memorable stay and a very good hideaway.

Gorgeous hotel right at the footsteps of the great wall. The pool and rooftop area offers great views in the morning and evening. The room was out of this world. Spacious with a very nice design and super comfy beds. The terrace with a massive bath tub was maybe the nicest I have ever had in a hotel. Great views and a wonderful way to spend a summer evening. The lobby offered free coffee, drinks and snacks throughout the day and the breakfast was a nice chinese style meal with dumplings, steamed buns, etc. Lastly, the staff was outstanding. They helped us with anything we needed, including a nearby Thai restaurant location. They also delivered us a great welcome drink along with a tray of sweets, fresh fruits, and a bottle of wine. If I could give more than 10/10 I would, this will definitely be our go to when we need to escape the city for a night.

We had a really great stay here! The location is great! You are only a few minutes away from a small section of the Great Wall of China, which is not crowded at all. The host is very nice. Great recommendation to book this hotel.

The facilities are very good. It is built on the mountain and is full of hawthorn trees. It is next to the road, but it is soundproof. It is not bad. I forgot to bring my charger, and the front desk also gave us their own. The room can accommodate four people. It is very spacious. I sat in front of the window and looked at the Great Wall. The air was also very good. It was very comfortable.

Overall satisfactory, the environment is good, the owner of the hotel is very enthusiastic, providing pick-up service, and the elderly have walked a lot less. The proprietress's breakfast is very refreshing and tastes good, which can meet the physical needs of climbing the Great Wall. The biggest advantage of living here is that after breakfast, you can catch the earliest shuttle bus to climb Badaling. There are few people and it is relatively not crowded!
