Guest UserMy stay at the Waldorf Astoria Beijing was absolutely perfect, earning a full five-star review! I experienced both the main building and the traditional courtyard rooms. The location is superb, right next to Wangfujing and within walking distance to the Forbidden City, making getting around incredibly convenient. The hotel's design is truly unique and thoughtful. The rooms are spacious and elegant, the bedding is soft and comfortable, and the amenities are high-quality and smell wonderful – every detail shows great care. Our butler, Willow, provided attentive and thoughtful service; she was warm, polite, and perfectly balanced, never being intrusive. The breakfast spread was extensive, featuring both authentic Beijing specialties and delicious Western options. The afternoon tea was beautiful and tasted just as good as it looked. This is definitely the top luxury hotel to stay at when visiting Beijing. Highly recommended!

Guest UserA quiet and beautiful courtyard located at the entrance of a hutong, offering a peaceful escape from the hustle and bustle. The location is superb, just three subway stops away from major attractions like the Forbidden City, Tiananmen Square, and the National Museum of China. Wangfujing is also a mere 10-minute walk. The mattress and pillows are incredibly comfortable, guaranteeing a good night's sleep after a tiring day of sightseeing. There are also two lovely, well-fed cats in the courtyard – one orange and one tabby – both friendly and happy to be petted. Upon arrival, we were greeted with fragrant jasmine flower strings, and upon departure, we received exquisite souvenirs. The front desk service was attentive and warm, making for a truly wonderful stay!

Guest UserHonestly, the hotel's location is superb. It's so convenient to get to all the attractions, which saved us a lot of travel time. The front desk staff were also very helpful; they met all our requests. The cleanliness was good too. The only downside is that the decor is quite basic, but that's understandable. Overall, we had a great three-day, two-night trip. Too bad I forgot to take photos!

Excellent location near Tiananmen, Forbidden City and Wangfujing (all walkable). Subway just 10 mins away on foot, bus stop right outside with the major sight seeing lines. No breakfast provided but there’s enough food places around and an in house cafe.
Room is clean and well sized, good for 2 big luggage open on the floor with space to walk and a large closet. Shampoo/ bath gel, slippers, toothbrushes provided. Shower has good water pressure although curtain is short so water tends to get out of the bath area, nothing a towel can’t solve. Shoutout to the front desk staff (Miss Tian/Liu/Zhang/Li) for their friendliness and helpfulness, esp to Miss Li (night desk) for her quick initiative and service recovery after a miscommunication on room cleaning early in our stay. Love the roof terrace. We were on the first floor and felt that the soundproofing was good.

Anonymous UserThe room was tiny, I mean, really tiny. There was no space for luggage; if you put it on the floor, you couldn't walk. I originally booked a windowless room, and they said they upgraded me to one with a window, but it faced a wall about 50 centimeters away. So, open or closed, it was dark, and if you opened it, all you heard was the buzzing of the AC unit outside, so it was better to keep it shut. The breakfast was good, and the location was decent. I don't understand why hotel ratings are always so high nowadays. It's because after you book, the front desk chases you for a 5-star review. This practice really needs to be addressed.

Anonymous UserThe hotel's design perfectly captures the style of Beijing's hutongs, which is very unique. The room was really comfortable, and the staff provided exceptional service. Breakfast was light and exactly to my taste, which was great. The staff mentioned they'll be renovating later, and I figured this place will be hard to book afterwards, so I talked to them about reserving a room in advance 👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻. Wandering through Beijing's hutongs is so relaxing and perfect for unwinding.

Beijing, here I come! I took a taxi from the airport to get here. Cars aren't allowed inside the hotel premises. There are officers (hat uncles, as in police) at the entrance checking IDs. It's not far to walk in. Luggage goes through security upon entry. Check-in was quick. A crucial reminder: before checking in, make sure to book your spot to watch the flag-raising ceremony via the dedicated mini-program. The only reason I stayed here was for the convenience of having to go through only one security check to get to the ceremony. But if you haven't booked your flag-raising viewing slot in advance through the mini-program, then staying here is a waste. I'm a prime example of that. After checking in at the front desk, they give you a small national flag, which adds a nice touch to the experience. Dinner was good, and the buffet breakfast was delicious with plenty of choices. Overall, I'm very satisfied.

The room was spotless and incredibly comfortable. The host, a lovely lady, was so kind and helpful throughout my stay, making me feel completely at ease. The location is super convenient, close to both the Forbidden City and the west campus of the Obstetrics and Gynecology Hospital. This trip to Beijing for my re-examination really showed me the city's kindness and warmth; I'm deeply touched.
