Hotels in Tian'anmen Square and Wangfujing Area, Beijing

The room isn't huge, but the facilities are all in good working order. The bed and bedding were incredibly comfortable, and having a capsule coffee machine in the room was a nice touch. The location is excellent, very close to Tiananmen Square, making it perfect for both leisure and business travelers. It's also super convenient for visiting the National Museum of China.

This is my go-to hotel for business trips! The location is super convenient, just a 5-minute walk to the subway station, and there are plenty of dining options nearby, so I never have to rush for meetings. I can work late into the night without any disturbances, the desk is spacious and tidy, and there are more than enough power outlets. The WiFi is stable and never lags. The bedding is soft and comfortable, guaranteeing a good night's sleep that completely washes away travel fatigue. The bathroom has a separate wet and dry area, is impeccably clean, and free of any odors.

I had a very satisfying stay. The location is excellent, right next to the Wangfujing subway station exit. The service was also very thoughtful; they proactively called to confirm my arrival time before check-in, and when I arrived in the evening, they upgraded my room and even gave me a welcome gift. The room was very comfortable, and the hygiene and facilities were excellent. Overall, it's great value for money, and I would choose to stay here again.

I was extremely disappointed in this hotel due to my room smelling like smoke / cigarettes, poor sound proofing, and the front desk staff soliciting good reviews and asking me not to leave a negative review during checkout. I picked this hotel based on the good reviews and the fact that they are trying to stifle bad reviews makes one completely lose faith in the review system. Details below: I booked the jiangnan room (room 8531) and when I first got into the room it smelled like smoke and cigarettes. I requested for them to clean it and was surprised when they were done cleaning an hour later… which tells me that they most likely don’t have a proper procedure to clean after smoke (they just sprayed perfume it seems). I requested they do a more thorough clean of my room and they sent me to a new room, which also smelled like cigarettes and smoke. This was troubling because the second room was the themed room and was supposed to be for little kids. After one night, I returned back to my original room.. and unfortunately it still smelled like cigarettes and did so for the 5 nights that I stayed there. I realized that ventilation is most likely shared across rooms because every day, my room smelled like cigarettes. So if someone smokes in their room, it affects the rooms around them. Another thing was that sound proofing is not good as you can hear if someone else is showering or flushing their toilet. The second night there, I heard the water run for hours and I finally went to the lobby to get earplugs because I could not sleep. Lastly, during checkout, I was highly discouraged from leaving a negative review. They asked several times to rate them highly and if I could not do so, to not leave a review. They asked to see my order from trip.com and when I asked why, they said they were going to take the survey… it seemed like they were going to give themselves a good review on my behalf. They then offered a small discount so that I would not leave a negative review, which I didn’t consent to. They told me that bad reviews would cause trouble for the front desk…. Shame on the owners because these issues are not going to be solved without major renovations and are not due to the staff. The front desk staff and cleaning staff for the most part, were lovely and doing their jobs. But they cannot do anything if the structure of the hotel itself is fundamentally flawed. I would absolutely not stay in this hotel again.

Location is good, although car couldn’t drive in but short walking distance to main road is fine. Staff is friendly and helpful, recommended us to take level 1 room which is very convenient to get hot water from lobby. Breakfast choices are limited, only grab some in the morning before start our itinerary of the day. Hotel amenities with clothes dryer is an important factor for me to book this hotel (Per trip and hotel information, it should have clothes dryer), however we were informed the clothes dryer is spoilt after we washed the clothes, which is a minus point for me. Hope hotel can take note on this feedback.

When I choose to stay at a hotel with a reception, I expect more than just a room - I expect reliable guidance and communication. Unfortunately, this hotel fell short in that regard. For example, I was advised to take a taxi to the Great Wall, when in reality there are several convenient shuttle options that I later found on my own. Similarly, when I asked for a simple recommendation for tea, the response I received was dismissive and unhelpful (screen shot attached). On top of that, the air conditioning in my room stopped working. Instead of handling the situation professionally, the staff made me feel uncomfortable about requesting a room change and had to contact trip for help. Overall, the lack of support and poor communication significantly impacted my experience and left me disappointed - would never come back here and would never recommend this place.

Excellent location! You can walk to the Forbidden City and the National Art Museum of China. Next door is Siji Minfu Roast Duck (delicious!) and Tong Ren Tang, where I bought some skincare products. The room was clean, the service was great, and the front desk staff were very friendly. Before I left, they even gave me some Daohuacun snacks. Thank you all!

Extremely satisfied! 👍 First off, the location is fantastic. It's about a ten-minute walk to attractions like Tiananmen Square, the Forbidden City, the Imperial Ancestral Temple, and the National Museum. Jingshan Park is also just 2 kilometers away. Plus, there are plenty of shared bikes nearby, making getting around super easy. Secondly, the service is incredibly thoughtful and kid-friendly. They provided special toothbrushes and slippers for the little ones, and even gave us two small snacks, which instantly won over my daughter and son! They also included breakfast. Thirdly, the soundproofing is excellent. Even though there were lots of kids and foreign guests coming and going morning and night, it was completely quiet once we closed our door – definitely a big plus! 👍 Fourthly, the environment is beautiful. There are lovely hydrangeas planted between the buildings, and they've placed two swings that both kids and foreign guests absolutely adore – someone was almost always on them. All in all, we were very happy with everything, everyone loved it. I typed all this out because we liked it so much, haha. Next time, I'll bring the elders and we'll definitely stay here again.

Tucked away in a lively area, this hotel offers great convenience for getting around. Shopping, dining, and attractions are all within walking distance. This is my third time staying here, and as someone sensitive to noise, I really appreciate how quiet it is and the excellent soundproofing. It's also very kid-friendly. The front desk staff, especially the young man, provided superb service!

Let me start by saying: my whole family absolutely loved it and asked me to write a glowing review! **Amenities:** The bathroom fixtures are Arrow brand, and the toilet is very comfortable. The toiletries are Herborist, and they even provide kids' toothbrushes and slippers. **Cleanliness:** Very clean. **Environment:** The fifth floor is a children's area with various toys, climbing activities, and they even give out small gifts. **Service:** They offer a late-night snack after 9 PM (ours was millet porridge, yam and red date porridge, and some pickled vegetables). My eldest was eager to leave, and the front desk kindly gave us milk, bread, and sausages for him. My mom had surgery the next day, and they arranged a Peking opera costume experience for her, which made her incredibly happy and really eased her pre-surgery anxiety. I even got to enjoy some perks too! 😉😉 The hotel staff also helped us take photos and short videos. At night, we needed to drink water frequently, and the customer service was excellent, responding promptly to all our requests. The overall service was exceptionally thoughtful, sincere, and efficient. They provide everything from earplugs and sanitary pads to small tissue packets and lemon juice. There are foreign channels on the TV, and it seems they have quite a few international guests. The only minor point is that the shower only provides hot water for 20 minutes, though it was still sufficient – just a slight worry in the back of my mind. Our room was on the inner side, so it was quite quiet. It's also within easy walking distance to Friendship Hospital. I've already recommended this hotel in my classmates' group to anyone visiting Beijing from out of town!
