Check-in was seamless, and cc had a very pleasant smile. I was thrilled to receive a complimentary upgrade to an executive suite. Late at night, my room key had a minor glitch with the elevator, but the front desk staff resolved it politely and swiftly. However, I was disappointed by two things: the executive suite lacked a full-length mirror, and the large bathroom mirror had numerous water stains, making it appear dirty.

Let's start with the pros: 1. **Odor-free room.** This is genuinely the only hotel room I've ever stayed in that was completely free of any strange odors, and they didn't even try to cover it up with air freshener – a huge plus! This alone was a key factor in my decision to stay. 2. **Excellent value.** Given its slightly out-of-the-way location, the price is fantastic. Coupled with Hampton by Hilton's generally affordable family rooms, it's a superb choice for family trips and self-driving tours. 3. **Driver-friendly location.** Being just outside the Fifth Ring Road means non-local vehicles aren't subject to morning and evening rush hour restrictions, which is incredibly convenient for those driving. 4. **Thoughtful Universal Studios amenities.** It's relatively close to Universal Studios (10 km, a quick drive with no traffic), and the hotel provides free wizard costume sets – how incredibly thoughtful is that?! What's more, the quality of the costumes is superb, easily comparable to the official merchandise sold inside the park. Now for the cons – these aren't deal-breakers, but rather sincere suggestions for the hotel to consider for improvement: The biggest issue is the laundry room, which is equipped with household washing machines (front-loader + heat pump dryer). While these are fine for home use, the efficiency gap between household and commercial machines is huge; commercial ones are at least three times faster. Currently, a single wash cycle takes 2 hours, and drying takes 3 hours. Who on a trip has 5 hours to wait around for laundry? Furthermore, the laundry room is always operating at full capacity, making it frequently unavailable. It's also entirely self-service, with no labels for room numbers and no staff to help with drying or collecting clothes. This makes the laundry room quite impractical and more trouble than it's worth. Nevertheless, I'm still giving it a five-star rating because its advantages truly stand out. I highly recommend staying here.

The moment I stepped into the hotel, I felt an immediate, home-like warmth. The lobby is spacious and bright, featuring a modern yet elegant decor. Check-in was incredibly efficient, and the staff even took the time to chat, helping to alleviate my travel fatigue. The guest room was incredibly cozy, with soft throw pillows and tasteful decorations; everything was perfectly appointed. The swimming pool was crystal clear, shimmering like a giant blue mirror. A swim here offered immense relaxation for both body and mind. A hotel like this absolutely deserves a five-star rating!

Our kids had a football match here over New Year's, so we decided to stay for a change of scenery and some fresh excitement, bringing both the elderly and children along for a short break. After all, the last time I was in Yizhuang was for the China Unicom IDC inauguration! The navigation by car was very clear, and there's both ground and underground parking. The underground garage has good clearance, so our larger vehicle fit fine. Just ask the front desk for a parking voucher when you leave. The hotel is very close to Grand Town Square, so driving there isn't really necessary. I didn't see any charging stations in the hotel complex, but there are some in the Grand Town underground garage, which is cheapest if you charge before your morning workout. This time, we chose a two-bedroom family suite with a bathtub. The pleasant surprise was having two bathrooms, which made things much more convenient for our family trip. The room was very spacious, with an open-plan kitchen and a washing machine – a standard apartment layout. Our room faced west, so we enjoyed the precious winter sunlight, which was very comfortable. The water pressure and temperature for showering were excellent – really strong and hot. For Beijing's cold winter, this was a lifesaver; you get thoroughly warm in no time. It was also very relaxing for the kids in the bathtub. The room had comprehensive corner protectors, making it child-friendly. The hotel primarily caters to business travelers, so they don't currently have baby bathrobes. There was a thoughtful welcome fruit platter upon check-in, showing InterContinental's attention to detail. When traveling with kids, especially in 'Cyber Yizhuang,' it's fun to have robots deliver things. Kids absolutely love that nowadays! There were quite a few foreign guests staying at the hotel, seemingly long-term residents. The breakfast was good, and we saw many children dining. Their selection of beans was extensive and delicious. Room service was prompt and efficient. When we mentioned needing more drinking water, the staff directly gave us a whole case, which was very generous. I've stayed at many InterContinentals, and their service quality has never been stingy. The jade cabbage sculpture in the lobby is quite interesting. If you're into good luck charms, you can give it a rub. The lobby also offers coffee and tea, which is a thoughtful touch. Definitely don't miss the coffee! The hotel elevators and gym require a room key card, providing a good level of security. The cleaning staff in the gym were very meticulous in their work and were visible very early in the morning. The gym always had plenty of drinking water, and despite its small size, the service quality certainly didn't suffer. Our whole family was very satisfied with our New Year's stay here. It was very comfortable, and with the abundance of high-rise buildings and rich dining and entertainment options nearby, I highly recommend this place to anyone visiting the area.

The location is a nice quiet neighbourhood in Beijing. The room was nice and had everything we needed. We went to the bottom floor to the spa which had two pools and you can even get a massage or do yoga there. The breakfast is mainly Chinese cuisine but they have bread, yogurt and fruit too. The staff don’t speak much English but you can get by with translating. The staff were very nice and helped us when ordering delivery.

The bedding is super comfortable, and the mattress is just the right firmness for a restful sleep. Facilities are comprehensive, with fast and reliable Wi-Fi and plenty of charging ports. The staff are friendly and provide excellent, attentive service, always ready to help with any issues. The hotel's location is really convenient, close to bus stops and a shopping center, with lots of breakfast options nearby, so not including breakfast isn't an issue at all. I highly recommend it to everyone!

I took the time to write this review a week after the incident, and I still feel warm while typing. That day I took a taxi from Daxing Airport to Yizhuang for a meeting, but encountered a traffic jam due to heavy rain. The driver drove for 40 minutes to get to the hotel. When the driver rushed into the hotel yard at about 2:30 in the afternoon, I could wring water out of my shirt and my hair was dripping with water. Before I got off the car, I saw the front desk guy hurriedly running to pick me up with an umbrella. Before I could react, my luggage had been taken out. It was a warm gesture before check-in. Like it 👍. When I arrived at the front desk, the front desk guy saw that I was shaking like a sieve, and hurriedly handed me a tissue. Suddenly he ran to get a glass of water from the lobby: ”Sister, I just made cola ginger tea, drink two sips to warm you up?” I was worried about catching a cold, but I took a sip of this hot cup - the sweet taste of cola mixed with the spicy ginger, it was really amazing! After drinking two cups in a row, my fingers were finally able to straighten. I took off my wet coat. Another little girl at the front desk was very discerning, hahahaha! Asked me if I wanted to take the clothes to dry, always paying attention to customer needs, really meticulous, about an hour later, the clothes were neatly delivered, with the cuffs still steaming. When I went out at night and passed by the front desk, I saw that every wet guest who came in was holding ginger tea in their hands, and the smell of ginger filled the entire lobby. When I checked out, the front desk chased me out and stuffed an umbrella into my hand, saying that according to the weather forecast, there would be thunderstorms in the afternoon. Guess what? Later, I was waiting for customers in the cafe under the Economic Development Zone Management Committee Building, and I really used this umbrella! The big brother in a suit next door stared at my umbrella engraved with the Atour logo, and I probably regretted not staying at Atour haha. To be honest, I used to think that hotels sending ginger tea were just for show, but this time I was really attracted. Now every time I pass by Yizhuang and see their sign, I feel a faint warmth on my back - don't get me wrong, it's not the sequelae of being caught in the rain, but the energy of remembering that life-saving hot drink!

When on a business trip, have you ever encountered a situation where your itinerary needed to be changed temporarily and you needed to cancel your reservation, but the hotel did not agree?
