The rooms are smart and clean. The front desk and residential areas are separate, with security guards at the hotel entrance 24/7, and access control for entering and exiting the residential area. Staff promptly deliver all takeaways, which made me feel incredibly safe. The location is also excellent; all the nearby attractions are within walking distance! I had a very comfortable two-day stay. Even though it's located in a *hutong* (alleyway), getting a taxi in and out was absolutely no problem. I didn't have breakfast at the hotel, but the nearby Ya'er Liji serves great breakfast; it was full of locals in the morning and very affordable. I forgot to take photos of the hotel, so here are a few scenic shots from my walks outside. I've stayed at several different hotels in Beijing, and this one offers great value for money. I genuinely recommend it!
The hotel is located in a *hutong* (traditional alleyway), which we found quite convenient for getting around to various attractions, mostly by taxi or bus. The service was excellent, and the room was kept very clean. Breakfast, served in the basement, was delicious. When we checked in, the front desk upgraded our room, which was really spacious. Just a small suggestion: the room lighting is soft and warm, which is lovely, but adding an extendable LED makeup mirror in the bathroom would be a great touch for guests who need to do their makeup.
The hotel's location is excellent, very close to the Drum Tower, and just a ten-minute walk to Shichahai and Yinding Bridge. There are also plenty of creative shops, small boutiques, and restaurants nearby. The hotel's cleanliness and overall environment are superb, and the staff are incredibly warm and accommodating, always eager to help with any requests. We will definitely be back!

This a courtyard-style hotel nestled in an old *hutong*, offering a wonderfully authentic local atmosphere. The rooms retain their classical structure with original wooden beams and pillars. It's very close to Houhai and Shichahai, truly embodying the idea of ”great reclusion in the city” – a perfect blend of tradition and modernity.
**Facilities**: There's no elevator, only wooden stairs, so if you have heavy luggage, you'll need to carry it up manually. However, the front desk staff are incredibly helpful and assisted me with my bags. There's also a microwave at the front desk for heating food.
**Hygiene**: Generally quite clean.
**Environment**: A resident cat roams around the front desk area, adding a charming, feline touch and a fluffy ambiance to the hotel.
**Service**: The service attitude was excellent. Since I'm sensitive to noise, they kindly arranged a quieter room for me, which allowed me to rest very well.👍
Very close to the subway station, and the room is beautiful – I felt like I could easily spend an entire afternoon just relaxing there.
**Cleanliness:** Very clean.
**Environment:** It's designed like a traditional 'siheyuan' courtyard, renovated from an ancient temple. I'll definitely book here again next time.
**Service:** Excellent, they were very responsive to all my requests.
Stayed here for 5 days while visiting Beijing. I was really impressed by the unbeatable location – less than a 5-minute walk to the subway station, with two lines (2 and 8) providing easy access to all the major attractions. I'd definitely consider staying here again.
The hotel service was great, and the decor had a unique cultural touch. The room itself was a bit small, but it was perfectly fine for me since I wasn't spending much time in it during the day. It was well-equipped and had some smart features, and the cleanliness was excellent. However, I'd suggest they provide non-slip slippers or a bath mat in the bathroom to prevent elderly guests or children from slipping.
This guesthouse is a classic 'siheyuan' (courtyard house) with a lovely ambiance. The breakfast is excellent and plentiful. In the courtyard, you can see people playing chess, playing musical instruments, and enjoying tea. It had snowed the day before, making the scenery absolutely beautiful. It's close to all the nearby attractions. The only minor inconvenience is that it's located in a 'hutong' (alleyway), so you have to walk a bit, but it's a great way to experience old Beijing hutong life!
Booked this hotel last minute and was pleasantly surprised by its excellent location. It's super close to Beihai Park, Shichahai, Prince Gong's Mansion, Nanluoguxiang, and the Drum Tower. I ended up exploring all these places that weren't even on my original itinerary. What a great bonus!
Choosing the right hotel when traveling with kids is so important! This place is simply amazing. They had children's picture books and small toys ready in the room beforehand, which kept my baby entertained from the moment we checked in. For breakfast, there were special kids' utensils, and the server even brought a small cake for my child. The hotel is only a 10-minute walk from the scenic area, and free parking is super convenient. The bathroom also has safety grab bars, which is a great relief for older family members traveling with children. The staff were incredibly patient with the kids, always greeting us with a smile. I'll definitely choose this hotel again for our next family trip with my parents!
Facilities: The facilities are complete and in good condition, and the room equipment is well-maintained.
Hygiene: Both the room and the hotel are clean and tidy. The staff are busy cleaning all day, which shows the business is good.
Environment: Located on Old Gulou Street, it's very close to the subway station, Bell and Drum Tower, Shichahai, and other attractions. Transportation is very convenient, and there are many food markets. It's a great place to stay for tourists, offering a quiet retreat in a bustling area.

Zzw218218This new hotel, Xin Yuan 1875, is super conveniently located in a historic old house on Yandai Xie Street. Just two minutes north from Exit A2 of Shichahai subway station, you'll see its two-story building on the corner to the west of the Yandai Xie Street archway. Its rich decor perfectly complements its unique history and proximity to Shichahai Lake, the Drum Tower, Nanluoguxiang, Guangfu Temple, and Dashibei Hutong. It's incredibly convenient for sightseeing, leisure, and enjoying local snacks. There aren't many rooms, offering a peaceful retreat despite being in a bustling area. The furnishings are interesting; flipping through 'Beijing Customs' in the cabinet gives a real sense of old Beijing. From the head of the bed, you get a close-up view of the magnificent Drum Tower filling the window. The shower's fine, soft water streams are wonderfully comfortable, reminding one of the area's famous old bathhouses. It would be even better if there was some information about the history of those bathhouses. I'd definitely come back.
MM509138****This courtyard hotel's ambiance is absolutely superb! It offers a quiet escape right in the bustling heart of Beijing. As soon as you step in, you're greeted by a charming, antique atmosphere and beautiful surroundings. The corridors are adorned with lifelike hand-painted murals. Sitting in the courtyard sipping tea is wonderfully relaxing and serene, offering an immersive experience of old Beijing's elegance and tranquility. The rooms are also spotlessly clean and tidy, with convenient smart controls. Breakfast is exquisite and delicious, with a fantastic variety of options. The staff are incredibly warm and welcoming. Truly an amazing experience!
GGuest UserA truly perfect stay, highly recommended!
My recent stay at your hotel left an excellent impression. From the moment I stepped into the lobby, the warm and attentive service from the staff made me feel incredibly welcome. Check-in at the front desk was efficient and quick, and they thoughtfully provided information about the hotel facilities and the surrounding area.
The room was spacious, bright, and decorated in a very cozy and tidy manner. The bedding was comfortable, and the shower had great water pressure, allowing me to get a full and restful sleep during my trip. The hotel's location is also very convenient, with easy access to dining and shopping.
Special thanks to the housekeeping staff for their meticulous cleaning. I will definitely choose to stay here again on my next visit to this city!
MManuel CotesOur stay at Beijing Shichahai Shadow Art Performance Courtyard was simply amazing. The atmosphere of the hotel perfectly combines tradition and modern comfort, giving us a truly unique experience in the heart of Beijing.
What surprised and delighted us the most were the shadow puppet performances, an authentic and original show that made us feel even more immersed in the local culture. It was truly unforgettable.
We want to give a very special thanks to Tom and Lily, who were incredibly kind and helpful throughout our stay. They went above and beyond to make sure we felt at home.
We highly recommend this hotel to anyone looking not just for accommodation, but for a cultural and personal experience that we will always remember with great affection.
GGuest UserFirst of all, the location is very good. It is about 20 minutes' walk from Jishuitan Hospital. There is a snack street at the entrance of the alley, and it is very convenient to have various snacks. The hotel is clean and tidy with no peculiar smell. The hygiene is very good. The lady at the front desk also helped us upgrade the room type for free. Special thanks. Jia has enjoyed staying here these few days and will choose here again next time.
GGuest UserComfortable and clean, with excellent and patient service at the front desk. They even allowed us to pre-order packages to the hotel, which was a great convenience. The location is also fantastic; it's less than a five-minute walk to Huguosi Street, which has tons of great food. The only minor drawback is that the hotel is located in a *hutong* (alleyway), so large buses can't enter, and there are time restrictions for vehicle access. A nice bonus is the free arcade machine next to the reception area!
GGuest UserThe location is excellent. The Beijing Traditional Chinese Medicine Hospital is opposite the hotel. To the west is Nanluoguxiang and Beihai Park. It is a good place to stay whether for medical treatment or sightseeing. The front desk service is meticulous and thoughtful, and the room is clean and tidy. It makes people live very comfortably and satisfied. I will stay here again next time.
PPolinaI stayed at this hotel for a week. Upon arrival, I asked the staff to change my room to one with a private bathroom, and they moved me without any issues. I really appreciated that they checked me in early in the morning right after my arrival from the airport, rather than making me wait until the standard 2:00 PM check-in time. My stay at this hotel was comfortable and quiet, the staff was friendly, and they helped me with Alipay several times.
GGuest UserThe former Wangfu, the courtyard house that can be accommodated now, is very close to Nanluoguxiang, very quiet in the middle of noisy, sent the manager's arrangement to a friend, the friend said: It feels like a big event, the movie viewing experience is excellent, the environment sound effect, the terrace meal just catches up with the sunset, let people linger, The restaurant supervisor not only arranges food, but also helps to leave beautiful scenery. There have always been a courtyard plot, perfect!
MMisuailvyouLet's talk about the advantages first. The location is good. Take the subway line 4 from Beijing South Station and get off at Ping'anli. It's less than 100 meters away from the station. The hotel is on Huguo Temple Street, surrounded by many snacks and close to attractions. 20 meters away from the hotel is the Huguo Temple Snacks Headquarters, 30 meters away is Starbucks, and 50 meters away is Mending Meat Pie. It's also 100 meters away from Menkuang Hutong Luzhu, and next to Luzhu is Mixue Ice City. The hotel is a 10-minute walk to Mei Lanfang's former residence and a 20-minute walk to Prince Gong's Mansion. The hotel service staff is warm and welcoming. Every time I walked to the door, the male waiter greeted me with a smile and took the initiative to open the door for me. I stayed in the north room, which was very quiet at night.
Let's talk about the disadvantages. The hotel is relatively old, the room is small, and the bathroom is even smaller, so there is no dry and wet separation. When you take a shower, the floor is full of water. The hotel does not have disposable items.
