Hotels in Xizhimen and Beijing Exhibition Center Area, Beijing

The family room is quite spacious for Beijing, which is known for its high property prices. The facilities and equipment are a bit outdated, which isn't what I remember from Shangri-La hotels. This trip was a bit disappointing; my child woke up with mite bites all over their skin and kept complaining about the itch. This shows the hotel didn't clean the beds properly and needs improvement in this area. However, the hotel staff's service was excellent and very warm. My parents had trouble connecting to the Wi-Fi, and with just one phone call, staff came and stayed until it was connected and working. This deserves praise! Also, the hotel lobby features a piano solo in the evenings, which is a nice touch and should definitely be kept.

Came with my parents and booked two rooms, both were excellent! Facilities: Great, automatic toilet was very convenient. Hygiene: Good Environment: Excellent, great location, convenient for getting anywhere. Service: Warm and enthusiastic. Restaurant is large, food is clean and plentiful! Will definitely come again!

A very pleasant stay in the capital! It met all my needs for sightseeing in Beijing. The subway station is right nearby, and it's also very close to Beijing North Railway Station and CapitaMall. Being right on the Second Ring Road, it's not far from any of the attractions. The room was spacious, and the facilities were quite new. Special thanks to Chen Yangxia, Luo Xiuli, and Li Qingxia for their thoughtful housekeeping service over the past two days, which made my stay so enjoyable.

The transportation nearby is incredibly convenient, very close to the 3rd Ring Road, right next to Beijing Foreign Studies University. Recommended!

The environment here is really good, and the location is excellent, right near Jiaotong University, just off the Second Ring Road. It offers great value for money! There's a shopping mall and a subway station nearby, and taxis are easily accessible. The lady at the front desk was so kind and helpful; she even upgraded our room when we checked in, which we really appreciate. The hotel facilities are also very comprehensive. I truly highly recommend it!

I’ve stayed at the Mercure Beijing before but this is first time at Mercure Zhongguancun! It was my friends first time in China and she was super impressed by the fantastic service, accommodation and facilities. As a person who has visited China many times across the country, this is one of the best hotels and service I’ve received. 10/10 will stay again. The manager is in the photo, super friendly and helpful too.

After an uncomfortable stay at the neighboring Xiyuan Hotel last time, I decided to switch to this one for my business trip. The facilities here are really excellent, especially the gym, which is surprisingly well-equipped. However, the service at this old Beijing hotel is still a clear weakness. First, checking in was inexplicably slow; there was always a wait. Second, I wonder if the gym reception staff receive any training at all. They actually asked me if I had the original packaging for my hotel room card! Who carries their room card with its packaging these days? They even had to call the front desk to verify. It's the 26th year of the 21st century, is management really this outdated? Can't they implement a networked system for verification? Finally, room cleaning management is also a mess. On my first day, I was woken up right after checking in and getting ready to sleep. Don't they keep records of whether a room has been cleaned in the morning? On the second day, I was woken up again around noon; they insisted on knocking to clean the room before 1 PM. I was speechless.

My stay at the Hanting Hotel (Beijing Institute of Technology & Weigongcun Subway Station) was excellent. The location is super convenient, just a short walk to Weigongcun Subway Station, making it very easy to get to the surrounding universities. The lobby had a subtle tea fragrance and an elegant ambiance. The front desk staff were friendly, and both check-in and check-out were very efficient. The breakfast offered a wide variety of options, including hot porridge, pastries, and side dishes, all with a home-style taste. The room was clean and quiet, providing a great night's sleep. It's a perfect choice for business travelers and highly recommended.

Staff were very friendly and helpful, room was a good size and the shower was pretty good. The bed was large and comfortable as well as the bedding. Fresh towels and bins emptied every day and an outdoor seating area. Everything was fairly clean and there is an amazing Cantonese restaurant just outside. We enjoyed our stay however a few minor issues, the non-smoking room we had smelt of smoke (and seemed to smell more every time we returned). Their was what look like water damage on one of the walls and the location isn’t that well connected by public transport. North station is only a 15-20 min walk though and maybe 10 mins to a bus stop. You just have to get multiple transports to get anywhere. The negatives being said we really didn’t mind this place.

The front desk staff were very friendly, and check-in was quick and easy. The hotel breakfast offered a wide variety of options, a good mix of Western and Chinese dishes. The room facilities were complete and comfortable, and the bedding was soft and clean. The room also had '安心贴' (sanitary stickers) and '安心袋' (sanitary bags), which was a nice touch. The hotel is very close to the subway station, making it convenient for getting around. Overall, it was a good experience.
