Anonymous UserI specifically chose this hutong hotel for my stay, and the overall experience was fantastic. The location is absolutely unbeatable, tucked away in a small hutong near Qianmen. It truly feels like a hidden gem in the city, with views of old Beijing's grey-tiled rooftops everywhere you look – super atmospheric! The decor is modern Chinese with a touch of Zen, very comfortable and soothing. The room amenities are all high-quality, from well-known brands, and the toiletries smell lovely. The hotel service is incredibly thoughtful; they even print photos for you based on your preferences.

The hotel is in alley perpendicular to branch of the Dashilan main street (branch of another branch street).the taxi I took from Beijing South rail station dropped me at the street where it is not the most direct way to walk in (the driver pretended to miss the turn). If you are taking taxi drop the pin and meishijiekou emailing point.
Hotel itself is small. No lift. Room is just slightly bigger than the typical Tokyo style. But very nice for a solo traveller. Mind you I took the deluxe room with window facing outside. Comes with snack, apple and very helpful service desk. Room is high tech. Location is good, walk out to have food. No typical local breakfast shop nearby though. For this reason, I will choose to stay at Dongsi which is more vibrant with locals and less touting.
Overall, it is a good place to stay if it is a very quick short turnaround in Beijing.

Guest UserBetter than expected! The environment was very clean and comfortable, and the staff were all incredibly warm and polite. Right outside, you'll find hutongs and the Dashilar commercial street (though prices there are a bit steep). The hotel is very close to Tiananmen Square (about a 10-15 minute walk from exit 7, or over half an hour from exit 3). Taxis and the subway are both super convenient. This hotel is definitely worth recommending, especially since we booked during an off-peak period, so the price was excellent. Just a few days later, the rates had already gone up! A truly pleasant experience 👍 (Friendly tip: If you don't like sweets, definitely skip the local specialty!)

This photo was taken when I checked out. What I liked most about this room was that it had a security screen, so I could wash my clothes every night and hang them to dry. Beijing's weather is really dry; by 8 AM the next morning, some thin clothes and socks were already dry! Slightly thicker pants would definitely be dry by noon, and even jeans were completely dry by the afternoon! When traveling, my biggest pet peeve is not having a place to dry clothes. Although the view outside the window wasn't great – just the rooftops of other buildings – for me, being able to dry my clothes was more important! Choosing to stay in Zhushikou this time was super convenient. You can transfer by subway to get anywhere. When you exit Zhushikou Station (subway exit C), the Guantong Hotel is right behind you – don't follow navigation and take a long detour like I almost did on the first day, nearly walking a huge circle for nothing with Baidu Maps. The only slight drawback of this hotel is that there's no ceiling light in the very center of the room. There are only bedside lamps and a lamp on the TV stand, and a ceiling light above the bathroom door, so the lighting isn't bright enough at night. If you walk from Zhushikou subway station to exit A, you'll reach Qianmen Commercial Street, Dashilar, and the original Quanjude restaurant is right on Qianmen Street. However, Qianmen Pedestrian Street is a bit too commercialized. If you want to see hutongs and experience a bit of Beijing's authentic flavor, you should go to Nanluoguxiang and Shichahai.

Guest UserThe room was a bit on the small side. My biggest complaints were the laundry room and the hot water. The washing machine in the laundry room seemed like it hadn't been cleaned, and you had to buy your own detergent. For hot water, you had to insert your room card and wait a long time for it to reach 60-70 degrees. Then, it would get cold before I could even really wash anything. The water temperature was also hard to control. I'm not sure if this is typical for hotels in the area, but I've always had a high opinion of Home Inn, and this time, I was just really disappointed with the cleanliness.

Thumbs up! A big shout out to the front desk staff and the cleaning aunties! My overall experience at this Super 8 hotel was excellent. The surrounding area is very pleasant, the hotel itself is clean and well-maintained, and the location is decent. There are also some good local restaurants nearby.
The room was spotless and odor-free, with very new facilities and comfortable decor. The bed was super soft, the air conditioning was new and ran quietly, and the soundproofing was good, making for a very peaceful stay. My room was on the second floor, just a short walk up the stairs, which was very convenient.
The front desk lady was incredibly helpful, warm, and thoughtful. She even upgraded my room for free since there was availability. When I extended my stay, the cleaning auntie re-tidied my room, and it was impeccably clean. A huge thank you to both the cleaning auntie and the front desk lady, you both deserve a big thumbs up!
The only minor drawback is that it's not super convenient to get to the subway. However, there are shared bikes right outside, and if you walk through the alley to the south, you can catch a bus, so getting around is still quite smooth. Overall, I'm very satisfied and will definitely choose this hotel first when I'm in the area again.

Anonymous UserThe room hygiene and other things are just so-so. A reminder to friends who stay in the hotel⚠️, don't listen to the people in the store to sell, and sign up for a one-day tour❌️. In order to save trouble, we listened to a tour (thinking that the price is about the same as going out by ourselves, and we don't have to transfer by ourselves), but when we got on the bus, we asked the people, and they used half of my price‼ ️‼ ️, the same tour I signed up for, the sky fell 🖤, friends. This is not the worst, the worst is that this tour is a shopping tour, buying jade and shopping in a supermarket. The tour leaves at 7 am and the disbanding point is 7 am. The actual time given to play at the scenic spot is about three hours at most😰. So don't listen to the staff and sign up for a tour. Remember.

Guest UserThe location is excellent, very close to the Forbidden City, Dashilar, and Tiananmen Square, with plenty of attractions nearby. The air conditioning kept the room wonderfully cool. The shower had great water pressure. For added security, the room door featured a chain lock in addition to the main lock. There's also a shop conveniently located right across from the room.
