Beijing Xicheng District Hotels

Service: This hotel deserves high praise; the service attitude is commendable, especially the male staff who was excellent. The female staff were also very good. I made a mistake about an item later, and they even helped me return it, so a big thumbs up! Environment: Also very good, the facilities are relatively new. It's located in a *hutong* (alley), right next to the famous Zhengyang Bookstore. Hygiene: The free laundry service is truly fantastic and worth noting; many five-star hotels don't even offer this. Facilities: Of course, they are good. The only drawback is that the room was a bit small, but that's acceptable. You can refer to my notes for more details.

The front desk staff were very friendly, and check-in was quick and easy. The hotel breakfast offered a wide variety of options, a good mix of Western and Chinese dishes. The room facilities were complete and comfortable, and the bedding was soft and clean. The room also had '安心贴' (sanitary stickers) and '安心袋' (sanitary bags), which was a nice touch. The hotel is very close to the subway station, making it convenient for getting around. Overall, it was a good experience.

I traveled for 7 days during the National Day holiday. I brought a lot of stuff, but thankfully the room was spacious and well-equipped, allowing plenty of room for my luggage without feeling cramped. The service was also excellent, from the front desk staff to the housekeeping ladies and the breakfast manager. The hotel paid great attention to detail; they provided charging outlets and three different charging ports. Every day, they replenished the fruit bowl in the room with fresh oranges, apples, and snacks. They also provided a small notebook where I could write down my requests daily, such as changing the sheets and duvet cover, housekeeping, changing towels, mopping the floor, and providing new slippers. They fulfilled all my requests without fail. The hotel is conveniently located near several subway stations, and there are also shared bikes available right outside the hotel. My room only included one breakfast, but the front desk staff provided us with an extra week's worth of breakfasts since there were two of us traveling. The breakfast selection was plentiful, including fruit, yogurt, pastries, watermelon, and cantaloupe. The best dish was the noodles—they were so fragrant! Every day after breakfast, we'd grab two cups of yogurt and two eggs to take with us and eat while we explored. Hehe. Overall, a huge thumbs up!

I specifically chose this hutong hotel for my stay, and the overall experience was fantastic. The location is absolutely unbeatable, tucked away in a small hutong near Qianmen. It truly feels like a hidden gem in the city, with views of old Beijing's grey-tiled rooftops everywhere you look – super atmospheric! The decor is modern Chinese with a touch of Zen, very comfortable and soothing. The room amenities are all high-quality, from well-known brands, and the toiletries smell lovely. The hotel service is incredibly thoughtful; they even print photos for you based on your preferences.

The hotel is in alley perpendicular to branch of the Dashilan main street (branch of another branch street).the taxi I took from Beijing South rail station dropped me at the street where it is not the most direct way to walk in (the driver pretended to miss the turn). If you are taking taxi drop the pin and meishijiekou emailing point. Hotel itself is small. No lift. Room is just slightly bigger than the typical Tokyo style. But very nice for a solo traveller. Mind you I took the deluxe room with window facing outside. Comes with snack, apple and very helpful service desk. Room is high tech. Location is good, walk out to have food. No typical local breakfast shop nearby though.For this reason, I will choose to stay at Dongsi which is more vibrant with locals and less touting. Overall, it is a good place to stay if it is a very quick short turnaround in Beijing.

Staying in a traditional courtyard house is a must when in Beijing! This place is super easy to find, about 200 meters from the subway exit, tucked away in a charming hutong. The courtyard itself is huge, perfect for relaxing with a cup of tea and a chat. You can even catch the sunset right from your room in the evenings, which is just lovely. The room layout is well-designed, and the bed is large and incredibly comfortable. It was so quiet at night that I slept like a baby. Right across from the hotel, there's a fantastic local BBQ joint called Tong Ye's Old Beijing Zizi Roast Meat. You can book a table online through the hotel and just head over when your turn is near – it's absolutely brilliant! If you turn right out of the hotel and walk for about ten minutes, you'll hit Gulou Street, which is packed with food and drink options. It's really convenient for getting around. I've already recommended it to several friends and can't wait to go back!

This hotel offers excellent value for money! It's in a great location, easy to find, and convenient for getting around, being close to the subway station. For dining, you can try Beijing Roast Duck at Zi Guang Ge nearby. The room was clean and comfortable, and the bedding was neat and cozy. The staff were very welcoming and efficient with the check-in process. My entire stay was delightful!

The room was a bit on the small side. My biggest complaints were the laundry room and the hot water. The washing machine in the laundry room seemed like it hadn't been cleaned, and you had to buy your own detergent. For hot water, you had to insert your room card and wait a long time for it to reach 60-70 degrees. Then, it would get cold before I could even really wash anything. The water temperature was also hard to control. I'm not sure if this is typical for hotels in the area, but I've always had a high opinion of Home Inn, and this time, I was just really disappointed with the cleanliness.

Thumbs up! A big shout out to the front desk staff and the cleaning aunties! My overall experience at this Super 8 hotel was excellent. The surrounding area is very pleasant, the hotel itself is clean and well-maintained, and the location is decent. There are also some good local restaurants nearby. The room was spotless and odor-free, with very new facilities and comfortable decor. The bed was super soft, the air conditioning was new and ran quietly, and the soundproofing was good, making for a very peaceful stay. My room was on the second floor, just a short walk up the stairs, which was very convenient. The front desk lady was incredibly helpful, warm, and thoughtful. She even upgraded my room for free since there was availability. When I extended my stay, the cleaning auntie re-tidied my room, and it was impeccably clean. A huge thank you to both the cleaning auntie and the front desk lady, you both deserve a big thumbs up! The only minor drawback is that it's not super convenient to get to the subway. However, there are shared bikes right outside, and if you walk through the alley to the south, you can catch a bus, so getting around is still quite smooth. Overall, I'm very satisfied and will definitely choose this hotel first when I'm in the area again.

Located 700 meters from Zhushikou subway station, it's very close to Dashilar and Qianmen. The room was small but clean, not greasy at all, though the soundproofing wasn't great – but that's typical for hotels in this area. We stayed for 4 nights with our child, and for the price, it offered excellent value for money.
