Beijing Xicheng District Hotels

This hotel is well-located in Dashilan, a place with a lot of good food! The street is very busy outside, but never had a problem with noise during my stay. It was also easy to find and located near Qianmen Station. The room is always clean although the space might be limited if you have a large luggage.

First time staying in this hotel. The location is excellent. Hotel is located between 2 subway station both stations is about 500m from the hotel. Line 4 for xi dan station , line 4 & 1 for lingjin hutong station. A few shopping malls are near the hotels, can shop & eat very convenient. There's a door in the hotel access to the shopping mall 大悦城. And a Starbucks. A local eating house is just opposite the hotel. Cheap & good local food. The room is spacious, clean and comfortable. Huge T.V. And there's a intelligent control ”小度” help to on light, music, check weather etc. But my room's ”小度” 开溜了有点难呼唤😂. Intelligent & man dependson man is better 😅. Manager Ma is extremely friendly & helpful. One day our room is a bit cold as the intelligent control is not working we didn't know how to set the temperature of the air conditioner. So I texted manager Ma early in the morning he immediately send his staff to bring over a electric heating fan and explain that air con is central control we're not able to set the temperature in our room. He even send packets of milk & fruits to our room. Manager Ma is very friendly when we check in he wants me to add his wechat if we need help we can text him. His service is excellent, responsive 👍🏻. I had enjoyed my stay 😊 Highly recommend to stay in le joy. One more to add on there's a POPMART in the shopping mall next to the hotel 😬

Another great stay at the hotel (3rd in 3 years). A different type of room this time, not on the courtyard, but a great spacious and high tech room with an extremely comfortable bed. Since I last stayed they have embraced the cats and have a room and experience for you to pet the cats. I was worried when I arrived as I’m very allergic to cats but they are kept out of the bedrooms and I had no problems at all in my weeklong visit. One of the receptionists has a good command of English and this made things much easier as well this time. I would definitely come back again.

Our four-night stay at the Shadow Arts Performance Hotel was truly memorable. Tucked away in a hutong near ShiChaHai, the location offered an authentic glimpse into local life. Every morning, we’d see residents walking their kids to school, neighbors exercising, or playing ping pong and kicking shuttlecocks in the nearby park—it felt like being part of the community. The highlight for my child was the live Shadow Arts Performance, held every Tuesday, Thursday, and Saturday at 8 pm. The skill and dedication behind the show were impressive, and it was heartening to see such care taken to preserve this intangible cultural heritage (非遗文化). The optional workshop afterward, offered for a small fee, was a nice touch for those wanting a deeper experience. What really made our stay special, though, was the staff. Tom and Jerry at the front desk, the manager 二姐, and the housekeeping team (李大姐 and 郑大姐) went out of their way to help—whether it was assisting with takeout orders when our phones wouldn’t cooperate or just offering friendly advice. Their warmth made the hotel feel like a home. If you’re looking for a place that blends local charm, cultural immersion, and genuine hospitality, this is it.

Staying at this courtyard hotel in Beijing was such a wonderful experience. The location is peaceful yet very convenient to reach the main attractions. The courtyard itself keeps the charm of traditional Beijing architecture — gray bricks, red wooden doors, and classic windows. Every corner feels full of history and is perfect for photos. The room was clean and cozy, with comfortable bedding. I really liked how they combined the traditional style with modern facilities. The courtyard garden is beautiful too — waking up to birds chirping in the morning and seeing the warm lights in the evening was truly relaxing. The staff were very kind and helpful. They not only assisted with luggage but also gave us great local food and travel suggestions. It felt just like staying at home, but with a unique cultural touch. Overall, it was an amazing stay. If you want to experience Beijing’s culture while still enjoying comfort, this courtyard hotel is definitely the best choice. I would love to stay here again next time!

Everything was wonderful, truly excellent. The front desk staff were beautiful and incredibly charming. My only minor issue, and it might just be a coincidence on my part, was encountering a very large and boisterous group. They were extremely loud and uninhibited in the public areas, talking and laughing so loudly and openly that you couldn't help but overhear every detail. In the fitness area on the third floor, which is a high-traffic zone, three of them were doing yoga, scantily clad, and extremely flamboyant – shouting and posing for photos. It was hot, and they smelled strongly of sweat. Aren't women usually more fragrant? I'm not trying to be judgmental; we have wonderful female friends ourselves. However, for a family trip with children, this atmosphere was quite unwelcoming. While this nearly pushed me to paranoid thoughts, I understand it's genuinely not the hotel's fault.

Exceptional Stay at The Ritz-Carlton Beijing Our stay at The Ritz-Carlton Beijing was truly unforgettable. A special thanks to housekeeper 徐晶晶 (Ms. Xu Jingjing) for her warm and professional service. When we mentioned wanting to eat oranges, she surprised us with an entire plate of fresh oranges, along with gifting us a plush Ritz-Carlton lion—such thoughtful gestures that made us feel so cared for. The hotel’s elegance and attention to detail, paired with such exceptional staff, made our experience amazing. Highly recommend and can’t wait to return!

Had a fantastic stay at the DoubleTree by Hilton Beijing! The warm chocolate chip cookie upon arrival was a delightful and delicious welcome. The room was clean and spacious, with comfortable bedding and an absolutely stunning night view. Breakfast offered a wide variety of options, including both Chinese and Western dishes, all made with fresh ingredients. The staff were incredibly warm, attentive, and always ready to assist with any request. Its convenient location made getting around and shopping a breeze. It offers great value for money, and I'll definitely choose it again on my next trip to Beijing!

## Facilities Ordering takeout is incredibly convenient: it's delivered to the front desk, and then a robot brings it directly to your room. The room is fully equipped with an iron, ironing board, a spacious bathtub, a small dining table, and a large desk. The bedding was exceptionally comfortable. ## Cleanliness The room features a practical, well-thought-out layout and was impeccably clean. ## Location The hotel's location is fantastic! Right next door is a Joy City shopping mall, making it super convenient for anything you might need. Directly opposite, you'll find numerous local eateries offering a rich and delicious selection for breakfast and lunch. A 20-minute walk gets you to the subway station, and from there, it's just two stops to Tiananmen Square. Don't miss the stunning exterior view of the Forbidden City from the hotel's 18th floor in the evening. ## Service The service was absolutely superb! The staff were incredibly accommodating and responsive to every request. They even helped warm up our takeout food in the evening. As a delightful surprise, each child received a complimentary panda plushie upon check-out.

Staff are extremely helpful and friendly, particularly the gentleman with glasses on nights and the lady with the low ponytail on day/evening shifts. Both were quick to pull out the translation app and answer any questions. Never made me feel like an inconvenience for only speaking English. The gentleman kindly helped bringing my lugguage downstairs when checking out early in the morning, and assisted with communicating with the taxi driver. Free fruits and a selection of soft drinks, water and teas/coffee replenished daily when the room is cleaned. Slippers and an amenity kit were provided. Black out curtains in room. Beds are comfortable. Short walk to Qianmen Station which is well connected for getting around the city. Near Dashilan which is great for shopping and local food. I would recommend this hotel to others.
