This is a dirty and filthy place to stay. The location is fine, but the bed, the sink, the toilet, the bathroom are all dirty and cannot be used. The bed is very wet, the air conditioning is broken so it is very cold, the room lock and the window are all broken. Wi-Fi is good, but the bathroom and the toilet are very dirty and broken, cannot be used. Other than that, the owner is very scary and has a very bad attitude. Definitely do not recommend this hotel.

The people at the hostel were kind and the room was comfortable and I was able to sleep comfortably. I bought a train ticket to Badaling Station on Trip.Com, but only standing tickets were available for the late afternoon train from Beijing, and all tickets for the return trip on the same day were sold out, so I stayed at this hotel. However, there is a train from Beijing's Huangtudian Station to Badaling, so if you choose this, you may not need to stay at Badaling. On the way back from Badaling, I took this local train, and the view was great. If you take this train from Beijing, the seats on the left side have a good view. I don't recommend taking a tour bus because the roads are extremely crowded in the morning.
