Nakagami District Beach Hotels

Our recent stay at the Grand Mercure Okinawa Cape Zanpa Resort was memorable and enjoyable. While the location does require driving to access nearby conveniences such as restaurants and stores, the hotel itself offers ample amenities that enhance the experience. The breakfast selection is exceptional and not to be missed, catering well to a range of tastes and preferences. Families will find the resort particularly appealing, with child-friendly facilities that promise a fun and engaging stay. We were particularly taken by the variety and popularity of the snacks and drinks offered at the open bar on the first floor. We look forward to returning during the summer season to take full advantage of the water park and pool facilities. For the onsen, I was fortunate I was able to purchase tattoo covers over the reception counter.

This hotel location is good! Very close to the main area. We could walk to restaurants and the beach easily. Love the idea that we can access and use the pool facility in another Hilton :)

Large hotel with spacious rooms, though a bit dated but clean and well maintained. Nice beach and great sea views from the rooms. But there are many limitations, especially for foreign tourists and those without a car. First of all, this place is rather remote, though not very far from Naha city but getting there will take about 2 hours on the Airport Hotel limousine bus , fare is ¥1430 per person, and there are not many services per day, if you miss the bus, you have to walk 30 minutes to Yomitan village to take the public bus, which takes more than 2 hours to Naha, or pay through your nose with taxi which costs more than ¥12,000. Almost none of the staff are able to converse in English effectively, reception staff will need to translate with an I pad and show the translation to customers. Being a large international resort hotel , they are extremely strict with the check in time, our limo bus arrived at about 1.30pm , when we asked to be checked in ,the reception staff said ok, but she told me ”early in 3000”, which I couldn't understand initially, she later showed me on her I pad , which displayed ” early check in fee ¥3000 for 1 hour”, there is no way to get a check in on arrival without paying a fee if you arrive early, even when the rooms are ready- which is unthinkable for anywhere else in the world ! It appeared that all guests arriving early decided to wait in the lobby till 3pm. Guests were not even offered any welcome drink, which was unthinkable for a resort hotel. Each room here cost more than ¥30,000 per night . Many other cons , which are rather unacceptable for foreign tourists- All the TV channels are in Japanese. Rather far away from any eating places , and not many choices. In rooms - the aircond cannot be set lower than 22 degree C , there is no shower cap and spoon provided.

Highly recommend this hotel.⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ I lost my wallet in a taxi on the first day of my trip, and had almost no information to trace it. The front desk staff helped me call taxi companies across Okinawa and eventually found the driver. Thanks to their help, I got my wallet back. I’m very grateful for their kind and dedicated service! If you’re looking for a place to stay near American Village, this hotel is definitely worth considering!

As we checked in the room (room number: 2016), we found the room type was different than the one shown on the website. It was clear that two beds were movable. For most of the people I guess, the beds are not confortable cause they are not fixed. Moreover, the beds were located next to the window. I could here the traffic outside all night. What made it worse was that we were not asked that our room had been changed or somehow .......no ! Nothing at all.

I had an amazing stay at this hotel! The location is perfect, making it easy to explore the area. From the moment we arrived, the staff was incredibly friendly and helpful. A special shoutout to Koroda, who assisted us with check-in—best service ever! The room was beautiful, offering a stunning view of the sea, which made our stay even more relaxing. The onsen was clean and comfortable, providing a truly refreshing experience. And don’t miss the breakfast—it’s delicious and definitely worth the money paid. Highly recommended, and I would love to stay here again! Let me know if you’d like any tweaks!

You can walk to American Village, Aeon Mall There is a free light breakfast Only 2 bottles of water, will not add Have to carry your own towel, pack garbage, no one to clean the room There is not enough parking space during peak season The soundproofing is poor. I can hear the sound of walking upstairs all night. I can't sleep until 2am The most complimentary thing is that there is a washing machine and dryer, only a pack of laundry detergent 

The sea view is nice, many people are walking or running on the riverbank, the service staff can communicate in English and are friendly, the vending machines have instant noodles, drinks and daily necessities which are very convenient, there are four light parking spaces and five in general, otherwise you can park by the riverbank, you can get towels at the counter every day, and there is free coffee, although the elevator is small, it is enough, suitable for renting a car and driving, good value for money.

The room is very big. The balcony opens to the sea view. I live at the edge and the view is a little worse because of the construction next to it. The bathroom is separated into wet and dry areas. The bathroom is great. Walking out of the hotel reception desk, you can see the sea view. The sea under the sun is very beautiful, just like the jelly sea. In addition, there are many buses that go directly to the American Village. Then you can walk to the hotel in a few minutes. The American Village is worth visiting, especially the night view is very beautiful.

It is less than 5 minutes away from American Village. There is a FamilyMart convenience store in front, a parking space below, and a ramen shop right in front. The functions nearby are very strong. The room has a dining table, kitchen, microwave, refrigerator, washing machine and dryer, as well as tableware and pots. It is very suitable for a small family to stay here for a long time and experience the beauty of Okinawa. I will definitely come back next time I have the opportunity.
