Amazing
CCuixiulinLocation:
Located halfway up a mountain above Arima Onsen Station, there's a shuttle bus from Arima Onsen Station, but otherwise the walk is quite arduous due to the uphill climb.
Environment:
This is a stunning hotel, with a large outdoor pool and a stunning balcony view. It's a resort hotel particularly popular with Japanese people.
Room:
The room was incredibly spacious, exceptionally large for a Japanese hotel. Not only did it have a bed, but there was also a tatami mat for sleeping, and plenty of mattresses and quilts. The sofa was also large, and the refrigerator was stocked with complimentary drinks.
Hot Springs:
The hot springs are located on the second and ninth floors, with the second floor open until 10:30 PM and the ninth floor until 12:30 AM. The ninth floor offers the best views, and the golden hot spring is quite special, with its high iron content, a hallmark of Arima Onsen.
Recommendations:
There's a shop on the first floor. I highly recommend the skincare and toiletries. The Tabibijin series is excellent, and the hot spring soap is highly recommended. The lip balm and soda are also excellent. Price: Around 2,000 NTD per night, which is a very good value overall. It's one of the best onsen hotels I've stayed in Japan. I highly recommend it, and the breakfast is super generous.

Amazing
KKURIRI123The experience is very good and the city center is very close. The beach is right in front of you. The massage hot spring has a very soothing effect. The Kobe Tower is right in front of you. Going to the department store for shopping is also a few minutes away by taxi. I will book here next time I come to Kobe
GGuest UserSuper satisfied. Good location. Although it is a hotel from decades ago, you can still see that the quality of the decoration is great. Retro and fashionable. Strong atmosphere and quiet. There are many small details. The small refrigerator is filled with chocolates and other snacks. In addition, there are foot relief patches, etc. It is worth staying
AAndrea ElijhaOverall, the experience was pleasant, with the only minor drawback being the price, which was a bit steep. While I had hoped for a more traditional Japanese garden and architecture, the hotel itself leans towards a modern Japanese aesthetic.
Visiting in summer, gazing at the lush green mountains through the window truly feels like a picturesque framed view, and the hot springs were wonderfully rejuvenating. However, I suspect autumn would be the most opportune time to visit, to witness the mountains ablaze with crimson foliage (assuming the trees aren't evergreen).
A misunderstanding arose at check-out due to unclear communication regarding payment policies between the booking platform, the hotel, and myself. The hotel insisted they had not received the online payment and demanded offline payment for a range of services, including breakfast, dinner, taxes, accommodation, and private onsen. As a customer, I initially thought I was being double-charged, as I had already made a payment online. The total cost for the two-day stay was approximately 221,110 JPY, which converts to roughly 11,000 HKD or CNY.
Upon immediately contacting Trip.com's customer service, they confirmed that our online payment covered both accommodation and meals, and advised that the hotel's demand for offline payment for these items was contentious and unnecessary. It was only later clarified that the payment made on Trip.com was merely a hold to secure the room and would be fully refunded upon check-out.

Great
IIpThe hotel is conveniently located, only 2 minute walk from the bus stop on the main street of Arima. I believe it could be the oldest hotel within the area, judging from the deco. And yet it provides the environment and the atmosphere that we like from an onsen hotel.
The onsen on the top floor is medium in size, and providing both gold and silver hot spa that are both famous in the place.
Hotel set menu is good. And the hotel is very thoughtful by arranging different menu set for us for each day.
Hotel staff are friendly.

GGuest UserEvery time I go to Japan, I try a hot spring hotel. This hotel does not accept children, which is what I like. The receptionist had language problems and we spent a long time communicating in the room to introduce her. The service was very good. In addition, I paid an extra fee to experience the private bath. There are two pools, golden bath and ordinary bath. It is just right for two people to soak in, which is very good! Moreover, the food here tastes good and the location is easy to find.

GGuest UserOur stay was absolutely fantastic. Every single staff member was incredibly friendly, and the room itself was very comfortable. The traditional Japanese-style room (washitsu) was a particularly charming touch. Both dinner and breakfast were exquisitely prepared, and the onsen (hot spring) was wonderfully relaxing. We stayed with my parents and children, and everyone in our group was thoroughly delighted.

TTrip LOVERssThe room was spacious and comfortable, providing a serene atmosphere for relaxation. The onsen facilities, along with the provided Japanese bath suits and slippers, added a delightful touch to the experience.
The breakfast buffet featured a variety of healthy Japanese options, which I found both satisfying and nourishing. Additionally, the view of Kobe Tower from my room was a charming highlight.
The hotel's design reflects a refined minimalistic luxury, creating an elegant and calming environment. Overall, I highly recommend this hotel for anyone seeking a blend of comfort and traditional Japanese hospitality.
AAsharonThe homestay is located near Xiwuzi Station. There are many foods around. Just by the sea, you can see the Akashihai Bridge. At night, the bridge is lit with lights, and the waves are heard during the day. The environment is good. The staff is also very good at serving. It is a group of young people who will help with luggage. Very lucky that night, the room was alone, otherwise it might be a bit crowded. The room will have a little taste.
YYangYannI'm so satisfied. There are both gold and silver soups. Although the facilities are relatively old, they are quite clean and there are very few people. I went there twice and no one could compare to the private soup treatment. The waiter gave various explanations in detail and patiently explained various things. The problem is that the heating in the room is really strong and even gets hot. I ordered a Japanese breakfast and the aunt set the table and explained how to eat it and let me eat it while it was hot. The room is really not small, and the Japanese style is very interesting. You can smoke in the room, and you can store your luggage at the front desk. One night at Arima Onsen is enough, and 2 nights is enough if you like to soak. The price/performance ratio here is very high.
