Good, clean and helpfull staff hotel

Five individual cabins on a beautiful mountain lake, connected by boardwalks. The boardwalks start at reception, pass the cabin then the restaurant as the board walk ends at their dock at the lake where boats are available. They also loan bicycles to guests. Dewi is the supervisor at the front desk. Charming, helpful, speaks excellent English, a joy to work with. All of the staff was warm and friendly. Simply being there made me happy. The two bed spa is next to reception. No massage employees but they have about 10 on call when an appointment is made. We liked A Delia, six massages in four days. Her mother also is on call. She did massages on a cruise ship so is a real pro. The room interiors are made of beautiful wood. Very clean, just the right amount of furniture, beautiful shower with wooden floor. Everything looks new and perfect. A chair on the front porch to watch people pass by. The restaurant has delicious food. A somewhat limited menu but I tried it all and all was tasty. The chicken rice porridge was amazing. The restaurant often is full because people from nearby glamping sites come to eat. Simply being there made me happy. I've been to 69 countries, most of them many times, and this is one of my favorite hotels in the world. I plan to return next year.

Nice place. Load music from neighbouring site! Wonderful place nicely decorated and gardened. Neighbouring camp site makes loud music for the whole lake untill 11pm and from 6:30am. Horrible if you were looking for a quiet peacefull paradise to enjoy. Only frogs and birds should be heard in concert. Tent is damp with some mould. Ventilation is not mastered. Service here is excellent. Free bike and canoeing. Good restaurant. breakfast a la carte,no buffet.

Beautiful and memorable stay on Lake Beratan A really beautiful stay in nature, on the lake and surrounded by the mountains— every morning we wake up to breathtaking natural sights! We opted for glamping so it was a new experience. Unfortunately the stay wasnt as peaceful as we hoped— the establishment is unfortunately in between two campsites with campers who made a lot of noise singing karaoke till late in the night (past 11pm) and blasted loud music early morning (when we woke up 7plus am for breakfast). At night the insect sounds were also very loud— you need to be really tired from day activities to be able to fall asleep at night from all that noise from insects and nearby campsites! Otherwise I would definitely recommend Pondanu Cabins— to be surrounded by such beauty of nature and delightful staff — is truly a blessing a life.
