Grand Hyatt Athens Reviews

This is the first time I’ve ever stayed in Grand Hyatt around the world. It was so much nicer than I expected because the staffs are so kind and helpful during the stay. Especially, when I checked in, the front desk staff was very friendly with good smile. Then, they realized that my birthday was coming in 2days, so they upgraded my room for me! Plus, breakfast was awesome for me. There are tons of things including Greek food. I’m sure I will stay here again when I visit Greek.

Great location, friendly staff, spacious and clean rooms. Everything was very good.You can also get a glimpse of the Acropolis from the balcony.

the housekeeping missed the cleaning of my room in daytime. they sent a cleaning lady at 6pm after we coming back. this terrifying cleaning lady showed huge impatience and chose to shout at my daughter who opened the door for her. She did everything she could to express her anger by punching the pillows in front of us. I requested to change normal staff to replace her. meanwhile, till 23pm of the same day, no offical apology from hotel side. I cant believe this hotel tolerates such bad behavior. Bad experiece ever!

room was clean and bed were comfortable location is within few minutes walk to a nearby supermarket and within a few km to acropolis and shopping street

Hotel very big probably too much and this may create some misfunctions. Services in any case very good and staff friendly.

The hotel is generally quite good, but the elevators are a nightmare, you might have to wait up to 30 minutes. Additionally, the service is just as slow, it can take up to 30 minutes just to place an order. I’d only recommend it to people with plenty of time and patience.

Waiting ＞30 mins to get room key after checking in, waiting ＞10 mins to get a lift up to breakfast. Rude baggage staff. Very nice rooftop pool staff. No shade at the pool available (I understand they can't put umbrellas on the roof because of wind, but don't understand at level 1 pool in courtyard). Unless you are looking for an exercise in testing your patience, avoid. Check in/out queue in pic at 3pm. Worse at 10/11am

One of best hotels in the world.

Did not get a king bed but got a twin bed instead. Execllent facilities. Love the heated indoor pool the most. It comes with hot and cold jacuzzi. Gym is well equipped and well maintained. Breakfast is nice with decent spread. Room sizes are inconsistent. Same price, but some with bigger space and some are smaller. Mine is extremely small and even have to walk sideways like a crab to get into my bathroom. Disappointed that for this Grand Hyatt, there is no dental kit provided. Also no toilet seat bidet.

Got upgraded to a reasonably good room, but no desk space, sadly location is good, but it's right on a freeway.
