"We are a family of 8, and we rented the entire unit, both downstairs and upstairs, for our stay. The weather was cold during our visit, but the beds were equipped with heaters, which made for a very comfortable night’s sleep. Each floor has its own bathroom and kitchen, which was incredibly convenient for our large group. The bathrooms came with basic toiletries, although there was no toothpaste provided, so be sure to bring your own. The kitchens were well-equipped and functional, with simple seasonings like salt and pepper. We brought our own cooking oil, but everything else was perfect for preparing warm meals for dinner and breakfast. The homestay is located in Marengo. One thing to note is that there are no supermarkets in Marengo itself, but Apollo Bay is just a few minutes' drive away. We recommend stocking up on groceries there before arriving if you plan to cook during your stay. Parking was more than sufficient for our Kia Carnival 8-seater, so we had no trouble with that. The area is wonderfully quiet, making it perfect for a relaxing, peaceful getaway. We had a truly pleasant stay here and would definitely recommend it to anyone looking for a spacious and comfortable place to stay."

"😊The location was good, easy walk to main street. The bed was comfortable. 😒On arrival at the Penthouse we found the glasses and crockery had to be washed before it could be used, the oven and hotplates where still dirty from a previous guest, the only two pans supplied where disgusting and not fit to use, the only pot was useable after a clean. The dishwasher had no symbols left on the door so no idea what cycle was in use The unit was not able to be secured as the upstairs sliding door latch had been forced and half the latch was missing. The kitchen mixer tap was loose, various lights didn't work. The toilet doesn't appear to be screwed to the floor as it moves when using it The drink coasters supplied are missing some feet from the bottom making them not useable with a flute glass as it made it very unstable Electric blanket didn't work on one of the beds No plugs supplied for the laundry or bathroom sinks A very well used sponge was supplied for cleaning Only 2 dishwashing tablets supplied and no tissues are supplied. At $880 for two nights, we found this accommodation seriously lacking and extremely disappointing. We wont be using the Booking site we used in future we found their reviews of this property misleading and I had to search their site for any less than great reviews."

"We didn't actually stay but did book a powered site for our van. We paid in full (silly us) $170. Unfortunately due to a medical condition we could not go. Rang and cancelled and was not offered any refund as you have to do this 2 weeks before you arrive. The man who answered the phone hung up after he found out booking. Needless to say won't be staying there at any time."

"Staying at Points South By The Sea surpasses any previous holidaying accommodation we have encountered. The majesty of The Great Ocean Road is exemplified within the sublime atmosphere of our middle cottage. The somewhat cold, stormy weather was a joy to hear and behold within the firelit serenity and warmth of the most accommodating thoughtful surrounds. Every room a treat. Bryan is a most welcoming, accommodating and informative host. A trip to the laundry, about a kilometer up the property's driveway we encountered koalas among the eucalypts and more stunning views on this beautiful property. Whenever fondly remembering our wonderfully coastal trip from Sydney to Adelaide our stay at Bryan and Joan's cottage will remain the wow, an extraordinary experience from driving onto the property to departure."

"Very good location, very close to the sea, quiet in a pretty neighborhood. The owner was easy to contact upon our arrival to collect the keys. The accommodation was a bit run-down, with non-adjustable air conditioning, no toilet paper provided, and the lamp on the terrace didn't work, making it impossible to stay outside at night. Overall, it's a good, convenient place to spend the night, as the price was quite reasonable."
