Janelas do Mar Apartamentos Turisticos ★★★
"amazing"
Hotel Indigo ALBUFEIRA by IHG ★★★★
"Nice external scenery"
Vila Maria Hotel - Adults Only ★★★★
"The hotel really looks like the pictures, clean and modern appearance, great staff, excellent location, rooftop pool overlooks the entire area with an Ocean View. We want to especially thank Andre, he was so warm, kind and welcoming. He was always happy to help us with recommendations and always put a smile on our faces."
Flamingos Salgados ★★★★
"We loved everything! The service was incredibly helpful, the facilities were excellent, and having access to the entire Marriott group was a pleasant surprise. Our only minor complaint was regarding the cleaning. Since we stayed in an apartment, they only clean every four days and don't even change the towels. I agree that daily cleaning isn't necessary, but towels, at the very least, should be changed more regularly. We asked for fresh towels earlier and they were very accommodating, but when the cleaning staff did come, they didn't replace them again, and they even missed the floor towels. We had to call reception a few times, but they always resolved all our issues with great assistance."
Son of a Beach Hostel ★★
"Staff were amazing, rooms were extremely clean and well maintained through out. Great place"
Boa Vista Hotel & Spa - Adults Only ★★★★
"5 stars, the lobby smells like old furniture"
Hotel Mar A Vista ★★
"The hotel has seen better days. The room looked like a dump, the carpet was disgusting and the bathroom smelled rotten. In favor of saying that the mattresses are comfortable, but the pillows need a change. Correct breakfast and friendly staff. You can park at the door without problem."
Hotel Sol e Mar Albufeira - Adults Only ★★★★
"The location is fantastic, with the room's balcony facing the sea and offering stunning views! It's conveniently located near a tourist train stop. The room was very clean and comfortable. The breakfast was also quite good, and the service was excellent! The only drawback was the lack of a kettle in the room. Photos: 1. Hotel front entrance; 2. Church next to the hotel; 3. Panoramic view of the hotel facing the sea; 4. Partial view from the room's balcony."
Peneco Albufeira GuestHouse ★★★
"Super good location with quiet accommodations 2 min to beach and one min can eat many restaurant and pub around Staar restaurant just downstairs is very good , they offer washing machine and. Kitchen for guest use lovely guesthouse"

Hotel Balaia Mar
"The Hotel Balaia Mar in Albuferia is a little out of the way, approx. 15 mins by taxi from old town. There is a small beach with a restaurant bar approx. 10min walk down small slope. The hotel itself, dont expect evening entertainment, the bar is dead. The pools are good (water cold), more a couples place. The staff were very friendly. The linen and towels were changed every day. However, the breakfast was very disappointing. There was about 3 different cereals, the fruit was in one bowl i.e. banana, apple, orange (peel yourself) not diced. The cooked breakfast :/ ?? - ok, so we went to restaurant at 9.40am and the breakfast is until 10am. There was scrambled egg, beans, 2 x strips of chewy bacon and 1 x bratwurst (no normal pork sausages) left. You had to toast bread yourself, total: € 10.50 There is a Spar across the road and we stocked up on cereals and bread/snacks. There is a small fridge in each room so was handy. We ate in old town every night, approx 4 - 6 euro in Uber which is a fantastic service, arrives in minutes just download app to your phone. Restaurant prices were similar to Ireland, some cheaper than others. Glass wine approx. € 8. pint beer € 6, cocktails € 10 - € 12 but there was allways a happy hour somewhere. Would recommend if you want somewhere quiet, 1 week is enough. Paid € 2047.50 for 5 people hotel only for 7 nights June 2025."
Hotel da Gale
"The hotel is well located from the center to the hotel you can take bus line 02 it takes just 5 minutes walking to the center it is 20 minutes walk. The receptionists are very attentive, I arrived early and allowed me to leave my backpack to enjoy the day at check out too. Clean and organized room and bathrooms Simple breakfast but for the price it's worth it. Swimming pool with an incredible view The receptionist Thayny, sorry I got the name wrong lol, very friendly and polite. I will definitely come back..."
Vila Sao Vicente Boutique (Adults Only)
"The hotel is in a good location, the terrace is right by the sea, there are many restaurants around, breakfast is available, and the environment is good. There is free parking at the door of the hotel. It is highly recommended to stay."
Grande Real Santa Eulalia Resort & Hotel Spa
"The hotel environment is very good"
Kimpton Atlântico Algarve
"Resort hotel with nice greenery, right by the sea, rich breakfast and champagne. Worth staying for a few more days."
EPIC SANA Algarve Hotel
"This hotel is perfect for a relaxing resort getaway. The restaurant food is delicious, and the staff service is impeccable. The beach, which is only accessible to hotel guests, and the path leading to it were both beautiful and wonderful... I was able to relax and refresh myself completely."
Wine & Books by the Sea, Algarve Resort
"Absolutely amazing place and team. Have to mention stellar service by Jose Santos, Tati and Nuvena. Definitely recommend during the low season."
Grand Muthu Forte do Vale
"Beautiful location, not in a rough urban area at all, two beaches not far at all nice to go for a walk and look at the views, loads of trips to do (wine tasting, safari rides, zoo marine dolphin show) which the receptionist will book for you on the phone they’re so helpful. Food is the best holiday all inclusive buffet I ever had, the snack cafe had beautiful sandwiches and coffees and cakes, friendly helpful staff. Bar all inclusive drinks aren’t strong, but a nice low alcohol quencher. Buffet had a different country theme every night so you could have food from all over the world. Cosy room, sofa and washing machine to do your laundry, television, lovely big bath. I would come here again if going to Portugal. My experience was wonderful. Lovely team. If you walk around the corner there’s a couple Portuguese corner shops to get snacks if you want to try them and souvenirs, loads of lovely friendly resteraunts on the street also if you want. Cheap taxi to get to the old town to go to the market which actually has beautiful stuff. Beautiful area beautiful country. I would note we did have a little bit of mould in our bathroom in the corner but it didn’t affect our stay as the service was so good, cleaners would come in and get the room spotless. Wonderful. Also included to travel to their other hotel resteraunts mini bus included to try other delicious food. Inserted a few pics of some of the places we booked through the hotel to go, or were advertised there. Amazing. Indoor turkish bath and sauna and pool and outdoor pool included, the outside pool is great too with sun loungers given to you by staff they will bring them out for you if there mostly taken up."
Vila Recife Hotel
"Pros: The breakfast was unexpectedly plentiful, the staff were friendly, and the TV screen continuously played original music videos, creating a very relaxing atmosphere. The pool water temperature was acceptable at the end of October; it would be even warmer on sunny days. Free blankets were available at the front desk for use in the pool and on the rooftop terrace. Cons: The showerhead had a problem; it would be great if it could be replaced or repaired."
Alfagar Cerro Malpique
"The hotel is located halfway up a mountain. The rooms are spacious, and the balconies offer sea views. It's about a 15-minute walk down to the bustling town. The Aldrich supermarket is also within walking distance. It offers great value for money."
Castelo Suites Hotel
"We travelled as a family of four with 2 children 9 and 11 and really enjoyed our time at this hotel. The hotel is in a quiet area with a few restaurants and bars within walking distance. There are a couple of beaches nearby (Praia do Evaristo and Praia do Castelo) both with restaurants and well worth a visit. I would recommend hiring a car, there is ample free parking available. We stayed in a family suite with twin beds in one room and a king in the other. Each had its own door but were accessed by a single door at the front which could be locked and created a bit of additional storage space. The rooms were small but perfectly adequate. Ritual toiletries were provided, and the rooms were cleaned and towels changed daily. There is a small fridge but no bottle openers in the rooms. We stayed half board and the food and service was beyond our expectations. Everything was freshly cooked, and the restaurant area was spotless. In the evening’s salad, soups, vegetables and fresh meat / fish were offered as well as fruit, cheeses and a variety of desserts. The staff were great, even bringing salt for the poached eggs at breakfast without being asked. One slight disappointment was that the main pool isn't heated and was really cold. There is a heated pool on the roof terrace, but you had to be 16+ to access this. The hotel seemed to attract couples rather than families however, we had a great time and would definitely return."
Aparthotel Paladim & Alagoamar
"We have stayed in the Apartotel on at least 10 occasions and it never lets us down. The staff are efficient and friendly. The hotel is always very clean and it is located in a great area directly between the old and new towns."
PortoBay Falesia
"Nice hotel but in need of upgrading for prices charged"
The Navigator - Solaqua
"My fiancé and I were a little apprehensive about staying here with our 7-month-old after reading some of the reviews, but we honestly couldn’t have had a better experience. The hotel is perfectly located between the old town and the new town (about a 15-minute walk to each), with a large shopping centre right across the road. All of the staff were fantastic and very helpful. Our room was spotless, cleaned daily with fresh towels provided. There is a tourist tax, but it was inexpensive and not an issue. Parking outside is plentiful and free. There is a small charge to use the safe in the room, which we found a bit odd, but we didn’t need it anyway. I’d recommend booking a room with a pool view. Noise was never a problem for us, either from the pool or other rooms, despite some reviews suggesting otherwise. While the pool rules say no inflatables and swim caps must be worn, these weren’t enforced during our 7-day stay. There’s no lifeguard at the pool, which we thought unusual given its size and how busy it can get. That said, the pool area had plenty of sunbeds and umbrellas, and we never struggled to find space. Breakfast was decent, with a wide variety ranging from a full English to hams, cheeses, fruit, pastries, cereals, and breads. The coffee from the machine wasn’t the best, but it was fine. The juices (apple, orange & lemonade) also weren’t fresh, they were mi-wadi or similar. The indoor pool and spa looked lovely, though we didn’t use them. The hotel bar was pricey for both food and drinks, and the food itself was just okay, so we’d recommend grabbing drinks from the supermarket across the road instead. Overall, we really enjoyed our stay and would happily recommend this hotel to anyone visiting Albufeira."
Vila Gale Collection Praia
"Would recommend this hotel - superb location, lovely staff, great service and very clean environment. The room we stayed in could do with modernisation - especially the decor and lighting in the bathroom - and the mattress was uncomfortable The pool area is superb, the breakfast was very good and we will definitely return again - mainly because of the location and the excellent staff!"
Ondamar Hotel Apartamentos
"Arrived Friday evening for a 7 night break with my husband. Reception big and clean, check in process quick and simple! Allocated room 5, easy to find, exceptionally clean and split between modern and slightly dated mainly the kitchen needs updating) kitchen facilities are VERY basic with very minimal utensils and plates etc The room had a lovely pool view with balcony too, maid service daily and comfortable beds. Has an indoor pool, whirlpool, gym and squash court too. Pool area simple with a medium size pool and toddler pool, lots of comfortable sun-beds amd maintained garden areas. Location was good for both old and new town 10-15 min walk to each or 4 euro in an uber or bolt. As it was out of season the hotel overall was quiet! I'd say more for couples and friends than family's. Mini golf always busy as open to the public also but you can play for 12 euros each. No vending machines etc which I think would do well but there is a Spar shop 3 mins around the corner. I would happily stay here again no issues! I do think it could benefit from a lick of paint and freshen up but otherwise great!"
