Would stay again. approx. 1.5m from old town but less than 5 euro in Uber. Spotless clean. Staff very friendly and couldnt be more helpful. Great breakfast as part of room booking. Quiet at night but some bars and restaurants within 2 min walking distance.

Such a lovely 10 day stay. The staff are friendly and polite and nothing was too much trouble. The rooms were spotlessly clean, linens changed every day. The view from our room was stunning (304). The breakfast was buffet and the choice astounding. We also ate a few times in the ground floor restaurant and of course used the ice cream parlour! We spent a few evenings in the bar, with Noonoo at the piano ( except for Sundays when we were entertained by ”Presumed Innocent”) fantastic place to watch the sun go down and served in luxury. We loved it. Thank you all. PS. To contradict an earlier reviewer. There IS a swimming pool, but we didn't use it as the beach is on the doorstep!

Great hotel even better staff reception staff gracia and anna are simply lovely and so good at looking after guests nothing is too much trouble , entertainment is good at hotel pedro is great and he seems to turn any night into a great night. Games room needs some attention especially the pool tables which have had their day please either recover them or replace them as they are impossible to play on and having to pay for them in the condition they are in is ridiculous. Overall a good holiday would reccomend

I think there should be thorough cleaning at each guest change. The towels and sheets have many dirty stains. There is little cleaning in the corners of the houses, we always find cobwebs, dead spiders and other animals. In 7 days, we were told that there would be a change of towels every other day and that did not happen. They only changed towels once, and we had to go to reception to ask for new ones. We didn't have a carpet at the entrance to our house, which meant we brought dirt from the street inside. The staff are very helpful and attentive, the pools are wonderful and the location near supermarkets is very good.

Good location within walking distance to restaurants and stores. Lovely sea/pool/street view depending on what floor your room is. Delicious and expansive buffet breakfast. We came here 6 years ago and were looking forward to coming back. Unfortunately we were left disappointed. We checked in and the toilet in our room was broken. It kept running and consequently the tank refilling. We called reception who sent maintenance up quickly. They ”fixed” it but it still wasn't right and then wouldn't flush fully. We asked to swap rooms which they allowed us to do. As a whole the rooms haven't changed in 6 years which was the problem. They're now looking very dated and worn in need of maintenance. The shower was annoying as it constantly moved from right to left whilst on and at the same time down the shower pole. Meaning you had to hold it with one hand whilst trying to wash with the other. The shower screen also leaked so by the time you've managed to have a shower which took twice as long the floor was soaked. I found myself having to mop it up so that we didn't slip. The toilet seat was also broken on one side so it would slip off. All minor things which add up and could be easily fixed. You also have to pay for the safe which seems a bit crazy. We'd come from two previous hotels on the same trip and not once had to pay for the safe and they weren't 4 star hotels like this one. The pool was nice and pool towels are available. Breakfast was good, you have to select a time slot, I guess due to covid. Be warned you can't use the indoor pool unless you bring or buy a swimming hat. The spa area also looked nice. The air con in the rooms worked well and the beds were comfortable, it's frustrating as this hotel could be really nice but lots of little things let it down, all easily resolved with some TLC but all which make it not worth the money paid.

To say this place was awful is all I can do after my personal experience there recently, I certainly would never book to stay there again or recommend it. I booked a double room in their Guest House part of the complex. * The Reception is only open certain hours. You are supposed to be able to contact them outside those hours but I had to call them a couple of times and got no answer or help. It’s really impersonal and there’s no one around when you need them. * There is no facility to make hot drinks in your room. There was a bottle of water. You have to go to the breakfast room where a vending machine serves terrible quality drinks. You don’t want to have to walk around the hotel first thing in the morning to get hot drinks. *Room 521 was right by the door into reception and was noisy all night with people banging through into the corridor to get to their rooms. * The space immediately outside of the double windows in my room opened out on to the terrace for people sitting having breakfast. This was horrible and gave no privacy into the room at all. Thankfully it was raining but had it been sunny I would have had people sitting right up by my only window in the room. * They have waterproof mattress protectors on the bed which made it feel like you were sleeping wrapped in tin foil it was so hot and it crackled loudly every time you moved. * Pillows were either absolutely enormous and too big to put your head on or so flat and small they were useless. * No bathmat provided for the floor while showering, bit of a safety concern and I had to use a pool towel. No where to hang towels in the bathroom when you’ve used them…it was all just lacking in thought. * No waste bin in the bedroom * Horrid yellow lights in the room * It’s very dark and depressing inside. * Bright light over the door to highlight where the door was in the night but it lit the room up through the night making it hard to ignore and sleep. * Breakfast is only available from 8.30am which is very late. It was poor, stale bread and dirty jars with cereal in with a very poor selection of foods. Overall this was poor quality, grim and depressing and absolutely not worth the cost.

When me and my twin brother were staying in Albufeira we stayed in the Luna Hotel Da Oura on R.de Dunfermline.This hotel is only a short walk away from the main ***** were there are many pubs/bars and restaurants and a fifteen minute walk to Albufeira's old town. The hotel has a nice reception area and a superb outside swimming pool and there's an indoor pool.The room we had (336) was clean and spacious (a little dated) but very well presented.The bed's were brilliant and the rooms cleaned everyday.The breakfast was varied and filling and the staff were 1st rate. A superb hotel in a superb area of this very lively resort and on our next visit to here we will stay in this fantastic hotel again.(This is my first review of the Luna Hotel Da Oura).

We stayed 6 nights at room 122 for new year's day which was a one bedroom apartment. I wanted to change to 2 bedrooms but they were fully booked. On arrival, we noticed bathroom sink was leaking and fridge door wasn't shutting however staff sent maintenance pretty fast. Checking in was seamless, room was very clean. Towels were changed daily. Unless you go to pool everyday, no need to hire pool towels which was €20 deposit and €2 per towel to use. Indoor pool wasn't too busy. Outdoor pool was immaculate, actually the whole hotel grounds were looked after well. Sofa bed was bit uncomfortable but that's what happens when you sleep on sofa bed...it's never comfy! Kitchen has almost everything you need to cook for few nights. You will need to get dish washer tablets if you are using kitchen as there's none to start with. On site market was bit of letdown but a local Aldi is 5 mins walk. Uber is the easiest way to go around the town, although walk to nearest food court is only 20 mins. We didn't use their restaurants on site as 'sexy meat' restaurant which is 5 mins had one of the best steaks we 've ever had. Even weeknights they are busy, so book your table on Google. Some said staff were rude but we didn't think so for 2 dinners we had. Overall, quiet location close to The Strip(not recommended for little children), if we find good deals with easy jet holiday, will return in winter to get sunshine.
