Very good when you want to go to the airport quickly. The rooms are old and has their ages. But very friendly staff and good GRAB point when you need a transport! Pool is also ok and refreshing. Do not expect too much! But nice for 1-2 nights!

A Memorable Stay with Exceptional Service and Comfort From the moment I arrived at Cititel , I knew I was in for a great experience. The staff greeted me warmly, and the check-in process was quick and seamless. My room was immaculate, with tasteful decor and an incredibly comfortable bed that ensured restful sleep every night. The amenities truly set this hotel apart. The rooftop pool provided stunning views, and the spa was the perfect place to unwind. I also dined at the hotel restaurant, where both the food and service were outstanding—especially the breakfast buffet, which offered fresh and delicious options. Location-wise, it’s ideally situated for sightseeing, shopping, and dining, with many attractions within easy walking distance. I really appreciated the attention to detail and the level of care the staff put into ensuring my stay was perfect. Overall, Cititel made my trip unforgettable. You can see the mountain from the room balcony. Will surely come back to enjoy that view again. Room was clean. The bathroom is outside (next to the balcony), so at night when you want to bath, bugs and moths will be everywhere.

Promenade Hotel Kota Kinabalu

Very clean and new. Looks like being renovated. Came here for seminar as the talk is organized inside the hotel. The location is good as it is in the center of the city. Service is good except that check in counter only have 2 and average waiting time is about 30 minutes for check in. However, maybe due to the hotel is full, our rooms are not ready when we check in at 3pm. But the hotel upgrade our room to another available unit which we will give a credit to the hotel. Breakfast is good and many variety, only the structure of the dining area is very inconvenient as the dining area too small and many corners which is not convenient to obtain the food especially for the beverage counter. The dining que line is too long due to the location where both the coffee machine are too close to each other and doesn’t not have any turning point and the coffee machine is very very slow. Suggest to change to a bigger dining area as the dining area cannot fit the number of customers especially for a seminar of 200+ people and refill is slow and we only have 1 hour lunch time where queing for food already took almost half an hour. Other than the above, I am satisfied with the hotel.
Coco Scuba Inn Semporna 2

It was my first time to experience a water house. The slide went directly into the sea. It was very interesting. Service: The hotel's arrangements are in place and they can help you solve any problems you have. We booked a charter boat for snorkeling for two people. The instructor is also very professional and will dive to the bottom of the sea to help you catch the fish from the bottom of the sea. Facilities: As soon as I entered the room, I couldn't wait to experience the slide. At first, I was worried that I would sink into the sea if I slid down. There are life jackets at the front desk, so there is no need to worry. Free dinner: The dishes are very rich, the chicken is very tender, the crabs are also very fresh, there is crab roe in it, you can’t get enough of the shrimps
Hyatt Regency Kinabalu

Hyatt regency lives up to its brand in Sabah! Exemplary hospitality, ultra clean room, great location, wonderful breakfast spreads and awesome staff! No regrets taking the club lounge option with sea view, even the lounge food was exceptionally delicious, kudos to the chef! A tad old in terms of furnishings but it retains the classic style of early 2000s, bringing good memories of my travels and staying in various Hyatt.
SKY Water Villas

I recently had the pleasure of staying at the Sky Water Villa in Semporna. The villa is beautifully designed and impeccably clean. The king sized bed was comfortable, ensuring restful nights under the stars. One of the highlights of the stay was the all-inclusive buffet dining, breakfast, lunch, afternoon tea and dinner. The afternoon tea with snacks was a lovely touch, providing a perfect mid day treat after our island hopping and snorkeling or hiking. Free wifi available at the restaurant and lobby area. The staff were exceptional, friendly and accomodating. A standout feature was the free use of snorkeling equipment and life jackets. Although the area around the villa does not feature coral reefs, the sand bank during low tide is a unique experience. It's a perfect spot for a leisurely walk and to observe the stunning starfish scattered across the shallow water. During snorkeling, we also spotted some sea turtles, some colourful fish and even swordfish. The reef is only near the jetty area which is very deep and has strong current. We had a relaxing and wonderful time living over the ocean with a touch of adventure. Highly recommended!
Tang Dynasty Hotel

My husband and I spent two nights here. The queen room size is suitable for family with 2 children under 10. During our stay the tv channels had problems due to the change from analogue to digital tv. We asked for help from the maintanence and he showed up...3 times but the problem unsolved (my husband was quite upset because he wanted to watch the Malaysia Cup final between JDT and Kedah... lol). We have not tried the food because breakfast was not included in my room rate. Mini bar is not provided in room. The room and bathroom are clean. The hotel provide a newspaper every morning. The location is good even for those who come without transportation...just a few minutes walk to Imago, Craft Market and KK market
