This is the best traveler accommodation you can find in Zhangye. Rooms and dorms are sparkling clean, and so are the common toilets, cleaned several times daily as I observed. The showers are on the upper floors, and this could be really the only drawback if one comes when it's cold. Otherwise, the atmosphere is great - plenty of Chinese and international travelers to share evenings and meals, and they organize affordable tours to the Danxia scenic area and also Mati si and Jingta temples. We took one and were very happy with the driver and the service and made the best out of our day in Zhangye. Book without exitation!

The beds are clean and comfortable, the public bathroom is outside the room, and the entire corridor is full of hostel rooms. It feels like I'm back in a school dormitory. The roommates I met are also very nice. We chatted, ate fruit, and washed clothes together, which was inexplicably fun. The warm feeling of quiet time. . Grandma is very nice and enthusiastic. There is a free large parking lot outside for convenient parking. The location is very good. You can walk to the night market, museums, the Big Buddha Temple, and the popular Malatang restaurants.

There are many restaurants around and the bus stop is a short walk. Easy to catch a taxi. Staff is helpful despite our language barriers, we managed to communicate with translator apps. Hostel is relatively clean but can be improved and more organized. For example, the faucets and mirrors need to be cleaned more thoroughly. There aren’t toilet tissues.

Amazing experience. The staff is really helpful and they gave me good tips what to do and eat in Lanzhou. They also spoke English which is always appreciated in China. They helped me to deliver a package without questions. It is close to a metro station and west railway station. Really good restaurants just around the corner. The common areas are really nice. Thank you, will come back!

Amazing hospitable staff and owner! Live music performance daily. Great hostel environment! When taking the guestroom - single occupant you get a whole room for yourself (small, but your own). Not the normal hostel style and basically it is like a hotel room. Just a bit smaller and shared bathroom / showers. Truly a hidden gem (see the entrance photo). Not to forget, great location! Right next to the Yellow River Bridge! Ans next to Xiguan metro, just a few stops from West Railway on line 1, which is perfect if coming from the airport.

I got off the plane at 1am, and the boss arranged a car to pick me up, which was very timely. The room was clean and hygienic, and it was a good place to rest temporarily. The flight was at 8am the next day, so I got up at 6am and rushed there. The journey was also fast. I will stay at this hotel from now on.

Bean Sprouts is my luck. I can meet a group of like-minded friends during the tiring journey. The proprietress is also very cheerful, and very diligent. On the day I arrived, I saw her cleaning alone. There is also a handsome dog in the store who is very obedient and can be petted. Next time I have a chance, I will come to Northwest and live in Bean Sprouts again.
