Best location! It was near and easy going around Yosemite park from this hotel. Right outside our room was the river and it was the best sight specially in the morning. Love the big bath tub with jets! Just needs more cleaning coz i noticed it has got molds already. There is absolutely no phone signal here and Wifi is not free so you have to purchase on check in. Funny tho coz once you are in Yosemite park, there is LTE signal. There is fridge, cooking utensils, electric stove, plates, cups, cleaning stuff, room was huge!! We got the 2 queen beds room type. The food in their restaurant is not so bad, the service could be better tho. Our food came super slow. There is plenty of parking space and its for free. I never get to try their pool and laundry facilities.

It was the cheapest place in LA, so I stayed there for 5 days. It's a good facility, but it's not well maintained. The cleanliness of the accommodation, the cleanliness of the shower room, all kinds of discarded clothes piled up. There was a lot of poop in the toilet and there was no hot water, so I took a cold shower. The air conditioning temperature in the room was so low that I covered myself with a blanket and felt cold. I hope you manage the temperature of your air conditioner well. The common space on the second floor has a washing machine, refrigerator, and cooking facilities. However, there are a lot of old food seasonings piled up in the refrigerator and on shelves. Every day the manager comes and does something and it’s not good. As someone who writes this, I don't understand. As someone who has experience in motel management, I feel sorry for ruining such a good facility. It's nice that there's a kitchen so the cost of food only costs about half. No laundry fees... There are very few buildings and facilities visible. If I were to give management advice... 1. Keeping things clean is difficult at first, but after a while it becomes very easy. Especially the toilet... Wearing gloves when wiping the toilet is hygienic, visually visible, and comfortable for guests. We recommend installing a bidet in the toilet. clean and hygienic Toilet paper consumption and waste are reduced. It is also great for preventing viruses. The building has very good heating and cooling ducts. However, a lot of dust accumulates at the duct entrance and exit, which is not good in terms of hygienic efficiency. Air conditioning and heating systems can be easily maintained with a little attention. 2. The refrigerator in the second floor kitchen must be thoroughly managed, and all seasonings on the shelves can be thrown away. It's old and has no owner. In particular, when storing personal items in plastic in the refrigerator, you must write your name and date of receipt. You can use it as an oil pan, etc. All unclaimed items must be thrown away. 3. It is unfortunate that good facilities are becoming outdated due to poor management. I don't know who the owner is, but next time I stay there, I want to make it comfortable for my customers by managing it myself. It can be done neatly in 2-3 days, and customers also need to learn the spirit of leading by example. Even if you only stay for a short time, it is important for guests to have a sense of ownership so that they can come back again. It is said that this hotel has to be booked long in advance, otherwise it is difficult to book! Located in the Yosemite Valley, it is more like a resort hotel in nature, as well as a variety of activities for children, not to mention the environment. I was fortunate enough to book this hot hotel. When I checked in, I was told that the room was upgraded! ! Upgraded into a family room, I suddenly felt a little lost with my husband. We live in the K area. The tap water in the hotel is all spring water. I curiously tried the shampoo and hair care products that come with the bathroom. It feels very good. The shampoo conditioner feels anti-off, and the taste is light and loose. It smells good! Dinner in their restaurant, the high-cost western restaurant, opened in the valley, but the price is not expensive than the downtown restaurant, the taste is also very good, praise! !

We had room 6 at this friendly B&B, the room looked out over some pine trees at the back of the building. There was an armchair, a table with 2 chairs, a very comfortable king size bed with side tables and sockets for charging. The room also had a toaster oven, a fridge and freezer (quiet) and a microwave and a worktop with a sink. No tea or coffee making but my wife microwaved water to make tea and I went to reception where there was always a coffee pot on the go. The bathroom had a separate sink area with room for all your bits and pieces and a bath with a shower. The shower had the best water pressure I found in our many days of travelling. It didn’t quite knock you across the bathroom but was powerful! We loved it, after lots of driving it was a relief to feel really clean. My ocd detected some interesting diy attempts but they were endearing rather than annoying! There was no a/c but it wasn’t necessary, the room has large sliding windows with bug screens and there was a nice breeze coming through the room. There is also an outside door leading done some steps to the side alley. Best not to have this open at night as there is bear activity in the area. Breakfast is in the main reception area. There are several tables as well as 2 sofas with tables. It is billed as simple but it’s really more than that. I was so pleased they had a creamy fat free yoghurt and granola which suited me perfectly. There was bread and a toaster, butter, peanut butter (of course) and a couple of hot stainless steel things with lids (I forget what they are called) with scrambled eggs and hash browns. Two filter coffee pots with proper coffee and hot water for tea. It was lovely, after spending time in 4-5 star hotels where you sit in a stuffy dining room and have to order off a menu, this was a refreshing change. For dinner we walked a very short distance to the Pizza and Tap which has a wide range of local beers on tap and good food. There is also a sports bar and grill but it was too noisy for us. There is also a row of shops which include a coffee shop. This is a place run by young people who are doing a great job. I imagine its a snowboarders heaven in the winter. There are two new buildings to the side of the building which will add capacity.

The room was very cute and appropriate for an older mountain lake hotel. It was clean and the amenities were exactly what we needed. The view was beautiful which made up for any room shortcomings and despite it being pretty warm, there was a nice breeze most of the time we were there. Since there's no air conditioning, the floor fan helped in the evenings when the wind died down. The location was great since there were several restaurants within walking distance. The only real complaints are that the pads on the metal chairs on the balcony were all worn down, making it feel like you were sitting on the seat bars. We reversed the pad so that we were sitting on the back section of the pad which helped but the pads should be replaced. Although the mattress was ok, it wasn't that comfortable. An upgrade on the mattress would be helpful.

Much better than expected, the room thief is bigger. It's a bit humid. I thought there would be bugs in such a good natural environment, but it turned out to be very clean. It was cold at night at the foot of Yosemite Mountain. On the way to the hotel, I passed Mono Lake, which was very beautiful. The hotel is by the lake.

We stayed overnight on 12-28-19. We've never stayed here before, but it was the only place that had vacancy for the weekend. I had a $90 credit through Expedia that I used, so the listed $253 rate went down to $163 (before taxes and fees). Not bad as it was the weekend before New Year's Eve, so rates were inflated. The other hotels at Lake Arrowhead were advertising least $400/night or more had they any rooms available. The property is tucked away in a beautiful enclosure surrounded by trees right off highway 173. It's a short 7 minute walk or 2 minute drive from there into Arrowhead village. The buildings are quaint and brightly painted. It's like being in Santa's village. The highway was clear on the drive up, but tire chains are a must as the roads freeze over at night, You'll need them to get in and out of the hotel parking area (especially at night and in the morning), as the entrance/exit is on an incline. The rooms are remodeled and the beds are comfortable. For rooms with fireplaces, you can bring your own firewood, or for $10, a hotel staffer will bring you firewood to last you through the night, set it up, and even light it if you if you want. Very friendly staff. We were contacted at 2:30 via phone that our room was ready. We checked in at 3:15 to find it was still being cleaned. The door was open when we walked up and the staff member was putting on the pillowcases. No biggie. After housekeeping left, we found that although the floor was mopped, it was not done well and was still dirty. The area under and behind the bed was very dusty. The table in the room was not wiped down and had crumbs. The bathroom floor was still dirty with body hair from the previous guests still on the floor. I cleaned that up with a huge wad of toilet paper. We wore slippers at all times in the room. The front door had a 1/2 inch gap at the bottom where we could see daylight. This presented a problem as it's winter and temps drop into the 20's (Fahrenheit) here at night. We shoved one of the bath towels in there to keep most of the draft out. Luckily we had a fireplace and a heater in the room which worked very well. Unfortunately the bathroom does not have a heater, so it gets COLD. There was a TV & DVD player in the room. The remotes for both didn't work. While the TV was mounted, it leaned heavily to one side. We didn't touch it, fearing that it might fall off the wall. There's a $15 per day ”resort fee” but the only service present is the free WiFi. They have a pool but it's drained for the winter. There is also a $100 deposit for incidentals. This is refunded after check out, but it can take up to 5 to 7 days to process. We were there for 1 night, so despite the issues, we slept comfortably and were warm. If the hotel was to address the issues I mentioned, they'd be a contender as a return visit choice for an affordable alternative to the more expensive locations, however in it's current state, we probably would not stay

I reviewed this Motel on Tripadvisor due to the rate and reviews I felt confident staying at this facility. As a result of my stay, 23 May-25 May I no longer have confidence in Tripadvisor. On the front door of Oakhurst Lodge is a Tripadvisor decal. At check-in I inquired about a booking fee I was charged at the Oakhurst Lodge website. This had never occurred before when using Tripadvisor. I asked the location of the ice machine, only at this time I was told there was no functioning ice machine. Due to ants and a stale smoke odor, in a non-smoking, room I was provided another room. The room had frayed carpeting, paint spots over areas on the walls and where the lavatory counter was repaired, bathroom door was damaged from something hitting it. The outside chairs provided for the room were stained, upholstery torn with exposed foam padding. The picture of room posted on Tripadvisor gives someone considering booking this lodging a FALSE impression. One positive for Oakhurst lodge the bathroom except the window sill, lavatory, microwave, mini refrigerator and bed linens were clean. The beds linens were clean. The beds did not appear as nice as the picture displayed on Tripadvisor. I did share my concerns and that I would be writing a review about my stay with the recommendation to others to NOT stay here. The front desk person was polite and seemed receptive to my concerns. There are other places to stay in Oakhurst that provide better breakfast, a workout room, larger, better maintain rooms for about $10.00/night more. Beware of the Oakhurst Lodge.

My fiancé and I did a hotel buyout of the Arroyo for our wedding this month, and it was absolutely worth it! Our friends and family stayed in all the rooms, which were lovely, spacious, and comfortable. The Arroyo also catered our goodbye brunch the Sunday after the wedding, and it was FANTASTIC. They provided a decadent buffet of French toast, sausage, eggs, quiche, bacon, kept the coffee fresh, and included a few bottles of bubbly and orange juice to make mimosas. We were a bit slow getting all of our wedding guests out, but the owners were extremely relaxed about letting us take our time to spend our final moments with all our friends and family. Given the size of our wedding, we also did a hotel buyout of another boutique inn down the street, Bi**** Ho****. If you're deciding between these two, choose the Arroyo, hands down. Communication with the Arroyo staff was excellent, unlike the owners at B***** H****, who we contacted many times via emails, texts, and phone calls, only to receive responses sporadically. Due to this lack of communication, there was a severe misunderstanding between us that resulted in a really awful exchange on our last day. It was the only negative experience of our entire wedding weekend. If you want to spend a lot of money and be treated poorly by a pretentious couple who seem to think they are overseeing a museum rather than a hotel, stay at Bi***** Ho****. However, if you want to have a pleasant hospitality experience without the drama, complete with excellent food and beautiful views, the Arroyo is your place!
