Sage Lodge

A really great lodge and place to stay. Tons of activities: horseback riding, fishing, fishing lessons, ax throwing, hiking, etc...Rooms are nice but not that large; perfectly suitable with awesome views of the mountains and local pond with mule deer abound. There is a restaurant and bar on site. The bar offers up creative cocktails and is a nice place to enjoy a meal. It sits in the indoor portion of the restaurant. There is also an outdoor section which we frequented because the weather was excellent. The food is good in the restaurant, but the service is just so-so. Like many other places since the pandemic, they've clearly struggled with hiring and training employees. That's one of my nits about the service: just provide some elementary training on how to pour wines, respond to requests etc.

10 of us stayed in the Mountain Chalet for 4 nights and it was perfect! We had plenty of space, all the amenities we could need, a beautiful view, relaxing hot tub, and easy check in and out. Tony, the owner, was so helpful and informative regarding Glacier National Park. This was a perfect location to stay for visiting GNP! We loved our stay and made some great memories. If we ever find our way back, we would definitely stay here again!!

DO NOT STAY AT THIS HOTEL!!!! THEY WILL WRONGFULLY CHARGE YOU AFTER CHECKOUT!! My partner and I stayed here for one night. Neither of us are cigarette smokers, we both suffer from asthma. Nor did we associate with anyone who smoked cigarettes during the night we stayed here. Hours after checkout, we were charged $200. I called to ask what the charge was for and was told “cigarette remnants were found” in the room, and to call back Monday when the manager was available. This is a lie and now it is just our word against theirs. I suspect the housekeepers were angry that we asked for a late checkout. As they knocked on our door asking when we were leaving (even though we arranged a late checkout with the front desk and had the “do not disturb” sign posted). Please save yourself valuable money and time and DO NOT STAY HERE!
The Lodge at Lolo Hot Springs

False advertising! Our first room was dar away in a run down building with snow and ice on the wooden steps to the entrance. This room was disgusting and the door didn't lock well enough to seem safe. No towels were provided and the sink was right next to the bed. We asked for an uprade, which was granted for a hefty price. Our king room was clean but the drapes didn't block out the bright light outside our window. The walkways between lodge and room buildings were covered in ice. We were informed that the restaurant was closed for ”winter hours”, but we, along with the other guests were unaware of this at time of booking. The desk clerk woman told us we could eat at the lodge at Loscha Peak, ID or go to Lolo. She lied about the distance to the peak, saying it's 13 miles-- it's really 20 and snowed the whole drive there. Service there is terrible and the waitress turned the lights out while we were still eating our expensive steak dinners! Lolo is farther, about 23 miles from the hot springs. The two indoor tubs were tiny but seemed clean. There was a barking dog and screaming children in them. The next day, we tried to soak at 11:00 am and the maintenance guy was draining the tubs! The sign says the tubs are open from 8am to 10pm, also a LIE! We sat in the hot one while it drained and he flushed us out with cold water!! He said they'd reopen at 6pm! That's when we'd be out scouting our next meal. When we returned for an evening soak, the desk clerk kicked us out, saying they closed at 9:00! Then she locks up the lodge, where there is the only phone service-- what if someone has an emergency? This is highly unsafe! Also, the only way to get ice or a DVD is from inside the lodge, so be prepared. From the hot tub, you can have a clear view of the maintenance room with its water heaters, cleaning supplies and junk, through a large opening in the wall that they never bothered to finish boarding up- it's partially boarded. Breakfast consisted of sugary cereal or a do-it-yourself waffle. That's it!! Even though this was April with people on spring break, the adjacent restaurant is closed. There's no Wifi but in the lodge and no TV, but shelves full of old DVD's to watch. There is a tiny wooden phone booth in the lodge to call home. The driveway needs major maintenance with potholes the size of bathtubs. We were awoken at 7am by someone shoveling snow and ice outside our window, yet the walkways remained icy during our entire stay. This place is way overpriced and it seems that they do not care about their guests experience! We ended up spending most of our time in Missoula, since the hot tubs were closed. Also, the public hot springs next door are pricey and filthy! The indoor pool hasn't been recoated in decades it seems, with bare concrete. The outdoor pool was not in use due to the temperature being too cold. We will never return here and don't know HOW they stay in business! Two nights and too much money wasted.

First, this is a beautiful setting. River, mountains, horses....it is stunning. The staff is polite, the breakfast buffet is good, but there is not much effort made when there is an issue. We attended a family event and many family members shared cabins (and costs). We reported a dead rodent in our cabin...couldn't see it but could definitely smell it. We reported it at the desk right away but nothing was done. The smell got worse every day. When we checked out I brought up the issue and was told that they weren't sure if we wanted a trap set or not and that's why nothing was done. Last time I checked traps were for catching live mice so it was obviously a lousy excuse for doing nothing. There were also issues with food prep in the restaurant on site. Steaks not cooked to order, missing side dishes and drinks. The margarita was terrible, but the Big Sky Lemonade was fantastic. I recommend finding another place to have dinner and drinks off-site. Finally, when it came time to check out, the credit card that was provided to pay the balance due (1/2 balance was paid in advance) was not charged as discussed at check in. They charged original card instead of splitting balance with secondary card provided. Again more excuses and no apology for the error and told it will take two weeks to correct!?! No housekeeping services. You have to make the trek to the office to get towels, tp, trash bags, ice. It was a disappointing experience.

I wrote a few hundred words when adding pictures. I have rewritten this hotel. The hotel should be a family hotel but the scale is well designed. The unique and exotic room is basically the same. The independent wooden house design is suitable for family travel. Can cook rice bowls and pans all but there is a problem when staying. Our 2 families have 2 rooms marked with twin beds but the hotel tells us that it is a suite with 3 beds. I said that adolescent children 1 male and 1 female are inconvenient but The hotel is telling the room is like this. Thank you, Ctrip overseas customer service has not shirked responsibility. I have been actively contacting and finally told me that because I only showed a passport, the hotel mistakenly thought that we needed 4 beds in the room. They didn't, but I was very surprised on the order. Written 2 names 2 rooms and we have repeatedly indicated that we need to be independent 2 room hotels will not understand? Anyway, thank you for the service of Ctrip. I have been using it for so many years. Ctrip is better than other travel sites. Recommend Ctrip to continue to support another: the advantage of the hotel is the design of the large room Reasonable Shape is unique Parking is convenient. There is free hot coffee hot chocolate at the front desk. After 12 o'clock, the front desk is off work. The disadvantage is that it is not regular. The sheets are suspected of not changing. There are hairs. The guests who are more serious are careful to send a sunset view of Yellowstone.

The location of the hotel is good, the environment is average, there is no hair dryer, it's ok to stay for one night, the hotel seems to be run by an Indian, the sound insulation of the hotel is very poor, and the Indians next door can hear clearly when watching TV. More efficient things. When checking in, there is an envelope on each bed that says ”Thank you for cleaning”, suggesting that we are tipping. This is the first time I have seen this hotel.
