AAlyseFirst let me say that the owners were incredibly kind and accommodating. It pains me that to even write this but I thought fellow travelers should hear my experience. First, there are two aye stays in Inverness. My gps took me to the wrong one first. That was awkward. After I finally figured it out, the place was very cutely decorated with Scottish and Loch Ness decor. Contactless check in was easy however a board with everyone’s name and room numbers does not feel super safe for me a solo female traveler. But over all easy enough. Next I stayed in room 7 which is up a flight of stairs so make sure you pack light! (Which you should do anyway in Scotland.) My room had just been renovated with new carpet but it smelled like off gassing and I had to open the window (which was broken) there was a radiator for heat which I had no idea how to use. So it got a little chilly. Now here comes the problems: the rooms are very close together and the walls are paper thin. I was kept up until 3 in the morning hearing conversations and snoring. We were only given the choice of receiving breakfast between 7:30-8:30 in the dining room. So I woke up earlier than I would have liked to eat breakfast. Which was just okay. Nothing too outstanding to write about but again the hostess was very sweet. Overall I could see that they’re trying their best. But I would recommend sound machines in each of the rooms or something so people can have a good nights sleep. The location was pretty good and just over the bridge from the high street.

RRainbowheartCtrip's service is first-class. If there is a problem, it will be solved quickly for customers. This hotel is very suitable for staying with children. Our children had a lot of fun. There is no breakfast and no hotel staff. The whole process is contactless check-in and check-out.

GGuest UserGreat value stay, all self catered and rooms were provide with all the necessities, would only recommend for solo trips as quite small and noise levels while quiet from the outside were not 100% from the inside. Bathroom could have done with a bit better clean but for the great low price it's hard to argue with for just a night.

We felt very welcomed and safe as an LGBTQ+ couple, the vegan breakfast was no problem at all and the dram in the room was perfect. The absolute highlight though was Patch the Cat, best host I've ever met, if your B&B doesn't have an animal you're doing it wrong x

AAnonymous UserThis hotel is located on the edge of Loch Ness, very beautiful and exquisite. The reception guy is very British butler-like, taking the initiative to greet guests and take them to visit the hotel to book dinner and introduce the use of room windows and other details. The breakfast service staff is also very British waiter gentleman service style, breakfast has a made-to-order and buffet very rich, top-notch. It makes people feel that everything in this small hotel is very well maintained. You can walk to the lake. There are not many restaurant options nearby, the nearest sister restaurant tastes very ordinary and the price is slightly higher.

GGuest UserThis hotel is a highlight of this trip. I originally thought of this place as a short stop, but I didn't expect such a big surprise.
The hotel is a house hidden in the woods, facing the lake, very quiet; the hotel room facilities are comfortable and warm, and also very spacious; the breakfast is very rich, with a variety of choices; there is a parking space, which is very convenient; the hotel owner is very warm and thoughtful, and helped us book a restaurant for dinner.
It is a very suitable place for vacation, relaxation, and emptying.

After a terrible homestay experience during a three-day trip to Scotland, I had to urgently find alternative options, and finally chose the nearest and rated 4.5 and above Maclean Guest Room. The moment I opened the door, I felt like I had a lucky hit!
The sanitation of the room is perfect, definitely a five-star standard, clean and tidy to touching; the location is also very convenient, travel is particularly worry-free; the landlord's service is more intimate, warm and thoughtful. What touched me most was that I told the landlord about the previous encounter and they not only expressed sympathy but also offered me a lot of extra help. The whole experience made me feel like I was saved!
If you come to Scotland to travel, Maclean Guest Room is definitely worth living, this is the real ”5+ level”!
