We had a wonderful time at the Old Locust Homestay. You can tell the owner really cares about his guests. During our stay there was some work being done in the road out front and the owner made sure to help us with our bags coming in and when we left and also offered a complementary room upgrade along with complementary imported coffee and gave us some local treats as a condolence for the issue. He always went out of his way to make sure we had a great experience. The hotel is newly renovated, very stylist and has great views from the third and fourth floors. We would definitely come back if we are ever in Xi’an again.

I feel very comfortable and satisfied. The hotel is in a prime location, convenient for travel, and there are abundant shopping and dining facilities nearby. The hotel has all the necessary facilities, is clean and tidy, and the service is cordial and friendly. I look forward to staying here next time.

What a wonderful, hospitable owner. The owner was extremely thoughtful and took really good care of all his guests. He took extra effort to prepare an early breakfast for a European family who wanted to leave early for the terracotta museum and helped them rebook the taxi when he observed that the allocated vehicle was too small for the family of 4. I enjoyed having conversations with the owner, covering anything under the sun helping to break the monotony of solo travel. The place is located in a quieter area, but surrounded by the traditional Chinese food stalls, local market, chic restaurants and bars and trendy cafes and bakeries. Clean and tidy, the big living room on the ground floor to relax or for some, a spot to some work.

Came with my dad but I wish I had brought all my friends and family so they could all experience this amazing accomodation!! Absolutely fantastic experience here, I could not recommend it more! This place is incredibly foreigner friendly with quite a few staff who can speak English and the amenities are beyond outstanding. Even for foreigners who know a fair bit of Chinese like me, it was so easy to talk to all the staff and I felt so at ease. Every picture I took made me think I was nestled in the forests of Japan. From the rooftop gardens, to the tea rooms, to the front communal space, and personal rooms, everything is curated to perfection and tech filled to the max! Expect vintage stereos, vinyl players and projectors at every communal area! All the staff are so friendly and create the welcoming community energy that tremendously enriches your experience in Xi’an. There is also a pub opposite the road for complimentary happy hours, communal hot pots and dumpling making on different nights! I cannot wait to recommend this hotel to everyone I know, and I am beyond excited to bring my family and friends back here!

When traveling with my parents, my biggest concerns are always transportation and accommodation. Although the hotel's vicinity was crowded and noisy at night, my parents surprisingly loved the lively buzz of everyday life, even commenting that such a vibrant atmosphere is essential for young people to thrive. Adding to the positive experience, my dad was so charmed by the cafe's ambiance that he spontaneously asked to take photos. During check-out, a polite young man named Zhou helped us with our luggage, and the cleaning staff went out of their way to assist us. These small, thoughtful gestures made us feel incredibly warm and filled the final leg of our trip with a deep sense of gratitude. My parents said they'd love to visit Xi'an again in the future, and I truly hope we'll get to come back soon!
This accommodation is something very special. If you like contact and tips from locals, this is the place for you. You Can also taste local tea. The rooms are very nicely decorated and I had the best sleep in a long time. High quality beds and pillows! Hot water comes quickly in the shower with pleasant water pressure. The location is also great if you want to see the Terracotta Warriors. The Huaqing Palace Park and its show is highly recommended. You can reach it by foot.

This quaint little hotel is tucked away in an alley right in the heart of the Muslim Quarter. It’s in a prime location for great food and shopping. It’s also just a five min walk away from the Drum Tower. The hotel room was clean, bright, and comfortable. We were so surprised that the bedding and linen were higher quality than some of the 4 or 5 star hotels we stayed in. We all slept like a baby every night. There are several floors in the hotel that are decorated tastefully for taking pictures or simply hanging out. They offer complimentary refrigerator and free self-operated laundry service. The owners were very kind and even came out to meet us when we arrived really late at night because she was afraid we couldn’t find our way. I highly recommend this hotel.

The landlord is very welcoming and dog-friendly. The room is spacious, clean and comfortable. It's very close to Sajin Bridge and only takes a few minutes to walk there. I will stay at his house next time I come to Xi'an.

This B&B truly lives up to its reputation as Xi'an's 'most beautiful B&B'. The design is incredibly unique. My room, 'Mijian', was on the top floor. Besides the distinctive room design, there's a rooftop garden, which is truly the most beautiful part. However, Xi'an in summer is too hot to spend time outdoors during the day. Otherwise, I would have loved to enjoy an afternoon tea in the garden, chatting with friends and family. Nevertheless, I still managed to enjoy a bubble bath in the rooftop garden. I'll definitely aim to visit again in spring or autumn next time; I'm sure it would offer a different experience.
The host was exceptionally kind, helping with luggage and providing great travel and dining recommendations.
The only minor inconvenience is its location in the Muslim Quarter, where cars aren't allowed to enter. This meant we had to haul our luggage from an outside parking lot to the B&B, which was quite a challenge, especially in the scorching summer heat.
The room was incredibly well-equipped, with everything from small details like disposable towels and a sewing kit, to a large projection screen, and even unlimited mineral water and Bingfeng (a local Xi'an soda).
Overall, it was a great experience.👍

The little cat was absolutely adorable! The room was nice, and the owner was incredibly friendly. However, the Xiaonanmen area felt a bit chaotic and not very safe at night. There were people drinking downstairs, some even passed out on nearby benches. Past midnight, I'd often hear loud noises from cars or motorcycles revving their engines nearby – it was quite annoying. Despite that, the hotel itself felt very secure with its double door locks, and the sound insulation was decent. In the mornings, you could hear some street vendors calling out. And finally, the owner even gave me a small gift upon checkout!

TTimurTravelledThe hotel is a little bit hard to find and is down a spooky alley, but otherwise it is quite a great hotel for the price. The staff was very friendly and helpful with everything!

GGuest UserThe location is incredibly convenient, with the subway station directly outside. It's perfect if you're on a business trip and want to explore the city a bit. Excellent value for money, and they can provide official receipts/invoices. There are plenty of amenities downstairs, and they even provide a washing machine for in-room use. It feels like a hotel-style guesthouse, and the linens are absolutely top-notch – professionally laundered, not just haphazardly washed like in some smaller guesthouses. The host is very welcoming and goes out of their way to accommodate requests. Plus, there's complimentary mineral water! I'll definitely make this my go-to place for future business trips. Highly recommended!
GGuest UserThis place was excellent! It's very conveniently located near the entrance to the Terracotta Warriors. The owner was incredibly hospitable, and our room was quiet. Traveling with children meant we needed to air dry a lot of clothes, and the facilities here made that very convenient. When there was a slight mix-up with our laundry, the owner happily resolved it without any fuss. Following the owner's recommendation, we drove just a few minutes to a local food street where prices were very reasonable, and the barbecue was absolutely delicious. Even though the weather was hot and the Terracotta Warriors were crowded, the private guide we hired was very responsible and thorough, even pointing out great spots for photos along the way. This was our first time in Xi'an, and we truly felt the warmth and hospitality of the local people. It's a shame we missed the 'Song of Everlasting Sorrow' show, but we'll definitely be back if we get the chance!

GGMTayLocation very convenient where it near to MRT stations and even railway station. However the cleanliness consider average and not much can be compared with this kind of low room rate. To find the hotel really a challenge because it was inside HanTing hotel, 11 floor. The only concern is we facing water outrage on our last day and no backup water prepare for us. I hope hotel can consider some improvements on this issue.

MM395293****The hotel is in an excellent location. It only takes 5 minutes to walk to Qinling Museum, about 500 meters. There is a large parking lot nearby, which charges 20 yuan a day, and there are also charging piles. You can park at the door of the B&B under the guidance of the boss without charging. The Ctrip reservation did not include breakfast. The boss was very enthusiastic and provided us with breakfast for free. It was porridge made with corn juice, steamed buns, eggs and 2 vegetables, and he also stuffed a few peaches for us to take with us on the road. What a home away from home! Lunch and dinner are all reserved at the B&B. The sanitary environment and price are better than those outside! After having breakfast, I went to the Terracotta Warriors and Horses first, then walked back to the B&B for lunch, and then went to Lishan Garden. For lunch, I could call the boss 30 minutes in advance to prepare it in advance.
At first, I was worried about the bad environment and safety issues of the B&B, but after checking in, I found that it was much higher than expected! Recommended for everyone to stay.
2203906****I rarely leave reviews, but this place absolutely deserves praise – we had a fantastic experience! We arrived by car, and the incredibly hospitable 'Superman' host met us right in the parking lot. The rooms were spotlessly clean and comfortable, and both the children and the seniors in our group were very pleased. Right downstairs, there's an entire street filled with delicious eateries, offering steamed dumplings, grilled skewers, and local yogurt. The complimentary, free-flow Bingfeng soda and Nongfu Spring bottled water are the perfect combination for summer. We've already recommended this place to our friends.

DDaiXinyuWe arrived at Hua Shan in the evening with the plan to climb for a full day the next day and then a half day the day after that (staying two nights in total). Guest house was easy to reach by Didi from the train station and we received a warm welcome and briefing on how to approach the mountain when we arrived. The hosts also offered to organise our tickets for us (you’ll need separate tickets for the cable cars, shuttle buses, and the mountain itself, with each of the shuttle bus and cable cars being run by a different company).
Lovely view of the mountain at sunset from our room! The room was large but a bit sparse, no couch or anything even though there was space for one and no fridge in the room (we brought a fair bit of food with us). The mattress was very firm (to the liking of one of us and the distaste of the other!). The bathroom was a bit bizarre but functional (sink outside the bathroom) though the shower did smell of cigarette smoke even though we’d booked a non smoking room. Otherwise comfortable and well equipped for what we needed.
The guest house operates a kitchen with a huge menu and all the food was delicious. We are vegan and were more than amply catered for! Dinner is served until 8pm and the kitchen seems to be in operation for most of the day.
The hosts kindly picked us up from the shuttle bus drop and also dropped us back to the train station when we left.
To note, unlike other mountains in China, the only way to get hot water on the mountain is to pay for it from a cafe. We had assumed there would be dispensers based on past experience but couldn’t find any.
