Taipei Homestays

Price-quality relation is a 10. You are in Taipei, look at prices and room size in other hotels or hostels. Maybe it is not the best of the best you have booked in your life, but to visit Taipei is an invincible option. You have a night market just in front of the hotel, stores everywhere, places to eat, subway station, and you can even walk to interesting areas such as Taipei 101 (like 5 km, not bad) or the Palace Museum. The staff is really nice, and they offer you free water, tea, candy, chips. I mean. . . This is good, for real. But, I have some tips if you are going to stay here: Tip1: as other guests have said, you can listen to the noise from other rooms and the building perfectly. So, if you have a light sleep, you should bring something to help you with this. Tip2: when you arrive, you will see a sign saying ”Me world Hotel”. That is your hostel, even if in Trip.com is called in a different way (I looked for it for like 10 minutes until I realised it was this). 3rd floor left. Tip 3: the bathtub is meh, so don't come with the fantasy of having a nice-hot bath (I came from a city with -3°, so I had this idea in mind since I landed).

In the city center, walk 20 minutes to Ningxia Street Night Market. Behind me is the MRT station, there are convenience stores nearby, and there are many early morning shops. Environment is good, facilities are decent. The service staff was welcoming. But it seems there are only 8-person rooms? There is a tavern on the first floor, there is no front desk service at night, there is a small balcony on the roof, you can enjoy the MRT drive

The location of the hotel is in the center of Ximending which made it very accessible. It’s just few minutes away from Ximen metro station. The staffs are friendly and accommodating. We arrived late at night, they provided us instructions on self-checkin. The room was clean and well maintained. Overall, the location of the hotel, the cleanliness of the room, the accommodation of the staff and the price of the hotel are worth the money. Definitely we will book the hotel again once we go back in Taiwan.

Hotel and rooms are really pretty. The staff is gentle, proactive and gentle while the location of the hotel is very convenient for transportation. Many shops and restaurants at short distance, metro at less the 10 minutes walk.

It has been difficult to book a room during the weekends. I booked this hotel because the price is relatively cheap. It is located in the Ximending business district. The location is very good👍🏻It is also safe to go out at night. The room is very small and the water pressure in the shower is not good. But because we almost stayed there all night After being outside all day, it’s nice to come back and take a nap👍🏻👍🏻

It's been almost a year since we stayed at Originn Space, and we're still reminiscing about it. We would absolutely stay again. Everything was perfect, from the surrounding historic neighborhood, to the calm ambience, to the delicious coffee and other thoughtful amenities, to the vintage turntable, excellent selection of records, and the friendly resident feline. The whole vibe was just homey and soothing. Our room had a very high ceiling and a private bathroom with an enormous soaking tub. This room does not have windows, so it was relatively quiet. We did hear a bit of street noise, but nothing that would keep us awake at night. We found lots of fascinating things to see, do, and eat within walking distance. Culturally and historically significant Dihua Street is steps away from this property. We were lucky enough to be there just prior to Chinese New Year, when this street is closed off to local traffic and transforms into a massive New Year market. And as others have said, it is very near to the Beimen MRT station, with all of Taipei easily accessible from there. We were so glad we stayed at Originn Space rather than some boring chain hotel! Someday we will be back.

I have to say that the location is great. Just outside is the Shilin Night Market. It’s just that it’s a bit older, but it’s not uncomfortable to live in. So I’ll consider staying with them next time.

I found this hostel near Taipei Main Station and stayed for 2 nights with 1 person. It was a very clean and cozy hostel that I wanted to repeat. Get off at MRT Taipei Station from Taoyuan Airport, follow the ”Z Ward” display, walk on the underground road, and when you go up the Z10 exit, you can see the hostel diagonally opposite to the right, but the Z10 exit is only stairs. It may be easier to find it on Google Maps after going out to the ground at an exit with an escalator or elevator. 1F Check in at the back of the cafe. No amenities. Towels are charged. Below is the impression of using the female floor. ● The bed is a type with a long side open, there is space around the mattress, and you can put your carry-on backpack and washbasin accessories with plenty of room. Hook 2 and hanger 1 on the wall in the bed. ● 2 outlets in the same shape as Japan at the bedside (maybe the voltage is different). ● The room is a card key type. Large lockers such as trunks are also common card keys. ● There were ”toilet + washbasin + shower” 4, ”toilet only” 2, and there was almost no crowd. Toilet paper is a trash can poi method. There is no washlet. ● There were multiple foot mats in the shower room, so it was comfortable to change for each person who used it. Drainage is small 々 Difficult. ●1F The shared space for guests in the back of the cafe is very cozy. You can drink tea for free, eat what you bought, kitchen utensils, and a washing machine. ● The massage shop called ”Ashikiang” next to the hostel was good. I went twice during my stay.
