Halloween Horror Nights 15th Anniversary

Halloween Horror Nights celebrates its 15th anniversary in 2026, bringing new horror attractions, returning characters, street zombies and special performances to Universal Studios Japan.

After 6:00 PM, selected areas of the park will turn into zombie zones. Visitors can experience Street Zombies, Zombie de Dance, haunted attractions and Halloween versions of popular rides.

Event dates: September 11 to November 8, 2026

Main nighttime activities: From 6:00 PM until the park closes

Age guidance: Halloween Horror Nights is not recommended for children aged 5 or under. Guests aged 12 or under require parental consent.

Families with children should check the official event map for zombie areas, safe areas and safe routes before exploring the park at night.

Halloween Horror Nights: All Night

Universal Studios Japan will hold a special Halloween Horror Nights: All Night event on September 25, 2026.

The event lets visitors experience selected Halloween Horror Nights attractions, street zombies, shows and popular rides throughout the night.

Event date: September 25, 2026

Event time: 10:00 PM to 5:00 AM the following day

Age requirement: Guests under 18 are not allowed to participate

Ticket requirement: A separate paid Halloween Horror Nights: All Night ticket is required

Guests with eligible All Night tickets can enter the park earlier, depending on the ticket type. Selected attractions, restaurants and shops will operate during the overnight event, although operating hours vary.

Resident Evil Requiem: The Dive is one of the major new horror attractions at Universal Studios Japan Halloween 2026.

Inspired by Resident Evil Requiem, the attraction takes visitors inside the abandoned Wrenwood Hotel, where monsters and other threats can appear from different directions.

The experience uses detailed sets, live characters and surprise scares to recreate the atmosphere of the game.

Lights Out: Nightmare Isolation

Lights Out: Nightmare Isolation is an R-18 horror attraction introduced for the 15th anniversary of Halloween Horror Nights.

Visitors enter a dark and isolated environment with limited visibility, intense sound effects and unexpected scares. The experience is designed to be one of the most intense horror attractions at the event.

Street Zombies

Street Zombies returns on a larger scale in 2026. Universal Studios Japan says the event will feature one of the biggest groups of zombies in its Halloween history.

After 6:00 PM, zombies will appear across selected areas of the park. Visitors can expect surprise scares, live performances and different zombie characters while walking between attractions.

There are plenty of dining options nearby, as well as Universal Studios merchandise stores. The day we arrived happened to be a Japanese holiday, so it was incredibly crowded. Check-in started at 3 PM, and we had to wait in line for a long time. The hotel is quite large and even has a Family Mart convenience store inside, which was great since we didn't book breakfast. We booked a city view room, but the front desk gave us a room on the 4th floor, so there was basically no view outside the window. For Japan, the room was quite spacious. Overall, it was convenient for accessing Universal Studios.

This was the most satisfying room during our trip to Japan. The wet and dry areas were separate, and the hygiene was impeccable. The bathtub was also very comfortable. My child loved the room's decor and facilities. We could see most of Universal Studios Japan from the room. The TV had Phoenix Satellite Television, but I couldn't find any Universal movies. The staff were incredibly friendly. We received a princess-themed toiletries set upon check-in. We stayed for two nights, and the cleaning on the second day was just as thorough as on the first day, which was a huge plus. The hotel restaurants were all delicious. My child didn't want to leave. We would definitely choose to stay here again if we have the chance.

My only complaint is that the AC vent blows directly onto the bed, and even on the lowest fan speed, it's strong and can't be adjusted, which gave me a bit of a headache after two nights. Downstairs, there are restaurants, a Starbucks, and a well-stocked supermarket. The hotel also gives out sparkly Sesame Street sling bags as gifts. Out of all the hotels I've stayed in recently, this one had the most polite front desk staff. There's also an ice machine downstairs.

The reception area is huge, with a simple yet elegant design, highlighted by a beautiful staircase that creates a welcoming atmosphere. The dining area is also quite simple, but the food selection was sufficient to give us enough energy for a fun and exciting day at Universal Studios Japan (USJ). The bed and pillows were incredibly comfortable, making it easy to rest after a long day. The toilet and shower area were very clean, although there was a slight odor whenever the water was turned on or the toilet was flushed. I'm not sure what caused it, but we experienced the same issue at our previous hotel as well. Fortunately, Keihan provided a toilet deodorizing spray, which was a thoughtful touch. One of my favorite features was the hair dryer and hair straightener provided in the room. They were of excellent quality and very convenient to use. The hotel's location is fantastic. It has its own direct access to Universal CityWalk and is also very convenient for reaching USJ. I absolutely loved staying at this hotel! The staff were easy to communicate with, friendly, and all spoke English, which made our stay even more enjoyable. The only downside was the steam bath on the 31st floor, which requires an additional fee. Personally, I think this should be included as part of the hotel's amenities and made complimentary for all guests. Overall, I highly recommend this hotel for its comfort, convenience, excellent facilities, and outstanding location near USJ.

It is recommended that you plan to die at the same time at Bo and Universal Studios, or Osaka Port, Ocean Park can choose to live here for one night, which is more suitable. Not suitable for shopping, because there are no large shopping plazas around. Because there are no restaurants around the hotel, dinner is solved in the restaurant in the hotel. This hotel was a great stay! Honestly it's such a good find. It’s about a 10 to 12 minute walk from the nearest station, and the area is nice and quiet. There are a couple of convenience stores in the area along with some restaurants too! The staff were super friendly and very attentive, which made the stay even better.^^ The room itself was great too! The beds were comfortable, and it was really nice coming back after a full day of traveling and just being able to unwind. If you’re planning to visit Universal Studios, this is an awesome place to stay since it’s in a great location and the commute isn’t far at all. The room aesthetics were unique and such a vibe! We loved the record player and thought it was a really fun touch. We’ll definitely be back and hopefully can snag a room again next time! I definitely recommend staying here!

Jurassic Park - The Ride will operate a special nighttime version during Universal Studios Japan Halloween 2026.

Visitors travel through the dinosaur area in darkness, making the sounds, sudden movements and dinosaur encounters feel more intense.

The attraction includes dark areas, dinosaurs, water effects and the ride's famous drop near the end.

Event dates: September 11 to November 8, 2026

Location: Jurassic Park - The Ride

September 11 to October 9: From 6:30 PM until the park closes

October 10 to November 8: From 6:00 PM until the park closes

Prepare to get wet during the ride, especially if you sit near the front.

Hogwarts Castle Walk

A Stroll Through the Wizarding World of Harry Potter: Hogwarts Castle

Harry Potter fans can explore the inside of Hogwarts Castle through the special Hogwarts Castle Walk.

Visitors can see the hall of talking portraits, detailed castle rooms and other areas inside Hogwarts without joining the regular ride.

This experience is suitable for visitors who want to explore the castle at a slower pace.

SUPER NINTENDO WORLD 5th Anniversary

SUPER NINTENDO WORLD celebrates its fifth anniversary with special decorations, characters and limited-time activities.

The anniversary celebration includes special experiences with Mario and other SUPER NINTENDO WORLD characters, along with anniversary decorations around the area.

Event dates: March 18, 2026 to January 11, 2027

Location: SUPER NINTENDO WORLD

An Area Timed Entry Ticket: Advance Booking, Area Timed Entry Ticket or Standby Entry Ticket is generally required to enter SUPER NINTENDO WORLD.
