5-Star Hotels in Osaka Prefecture, Japan

While it's three subway stops from Namba Station, placing it a little further from the central hustle, its value for money is outstanding. The hotel itself has a grand and sophisticated feel. A metro station is just 50 meters downstairs, offering direct lines south to Kansai Airport and north to Namba, making connections to Nara via Namba incredibly convenient. Of all the hotels I stayed at during this trip to Japan, this Sakai hotel is the *only one* I would re-book.

I stayed here for 5 nights. I had a good time staying and walking around the hotel which is near by the river. If having a chance to come back to Osaka, I would definitely stay here again. Staff: Very professional, nice and polite. Water: 2 Aluminum bottles of water were provided in the room everyday. Bathroom: Perfect in the sense that the shower area is separated from the bathtub. Amenities: Not provided in the room, yet available on the ground floor in front of the elevators. Location: A bit far from the shopping area, however the hotel shuttle bus is provided according to the time table back and forth. For the subway there are 2 line walk about 10-15 minutes. The nearest convenient store is 5 minutes away. My room was at the end of the hallway which I thought was good. However the next morning I found out that it was close to the housekeeping room, so I unavoidably heard the noise every morning. Especially on the last day I there's something in front of my room, so I was woken up by 6 persons at least, technicians,talking in front of the room.

We had a wonderful stay at Centara Grand Osaka. It’s great value for money, especially for families. Even the standard room was impressively large with a thoughtful layout and spacious entryway—perfect for maneuvering luggage, a stroller, and keeping shoes organized. The bed was big and very comfortable, and we appreciated the provided toiletries and pyjamas for kids. The hotel is conveniently located near Namba Station and Namba Parks, with plenty of eateries and shops within walking distance. The staff were mostly international and spoke English well, which made communication smooth and easy. Breakfast had a refreshing Thai-inspired twist, a welcome change from the Japanese meals we enjoyed throughout the day. Highly recommended for families visiting Osaka!

## Facilities The hotel is about a 10-minute walk from Honmachi Station on the Midosuji Line. Crucially, this station exit lacks an elevator, and upon arrival, dragging our luggage up the stairs was quite a struggle. The rooms aren't huge, but its prime location more than makes up for it, as the surrounding area is incredibly convenient. A 7-Eleven right downstairs took care of all our breakfast and snack needs. Who can relate to the joy of grabbing some beer and snacks after a long day on your feet, then heading back to the hotel for a drink and a chat...? ## Environment There's a noodle shop at the street corner near the hotel that I absolutely have to recommend! It's self-service, and the noodles are super delicious and affordable. Plus, it's open until 11 PM! Coming back late at night and seeing its warm glow on the street corner really gave me that 'Midnight Diner' (Japanese drama) vibe. ## Cleanliness I believe daily room cleaning is complimentary. You just need to place the 'Please clean' sign on your door, which you should confirm with the front desk during check-in. We stayed for three nights, and one day we forgot to put up the sign, so the room wasn't cleaned that day, but no extra charges were incurred. One evening, returning to the hotel, we did experience some loud motorcycles revving their engines on the street near the Honmachi station exit. However, the hotel itself was very quiet, and there are plenty of dining options nearby. Overall, I still highly recommend this hotel.

Just returned from our stay at New Otani Hotel, and it was absolutely wonderful! From the moment we arrived, we were greeted with friendly staff and exceptional hospitality – truly 5-star service. Our room was clean, comfortable, and the view overlooking Osaka Castle was simply breathtaking. The breakfast buffet had a wide variety of both Western and Japanese options, and everything was delicious. We were also touched by the thoughtful birthday gift prepared for my husband – such a sweet and personal touch that made our stay even more special. This has been our best stay in Japan so far, and we’re already thinking of coming back again, hopefully during sakura season. Highly recommended!

A true hidden gem in the heart of Osaka! Staying at Zentis Osaka was an absolute pleasure. The design of the hotel is modern, elegant, and full of thoughtful details that reflect a perfect blend of Japanese aesthetics and contemporary comfort. From the moment we arrived, the staff were incredibly welcoming, attentive, and professional — always ready to assist with a smile. The rooms are beautifully designed, exceptionally clean, and surprisingly quiet, making it easy to relax after a day exploring the city. We especially loved the soft lighting, high-quality bedding, and the luxurious rain shower. The in-room amenities were well-curated and of premium quality.

After exiting Izumisano Station, the hotel entrance is just a one-minute walk to your left, directly across from a 7-Eleven. (We heard the tourist information office next door offers bicycle rentals, but it was already closed when we arrived.) We were absolutely starving and regretted not grabbing snacks at Lawson back at Kansai Airport. Thankfully, the hotel had a special promotion and offered us a complimentary cup noodle, which was a total lifesaver for our hunger. The lobby is located on the 3rd floor, and the large public bath is on the 12th floor. It operates in three sessions daily: morning, afternoon, and evening, with the last entry at 00:30 (12:30 AM). The front desk provides a good selection of complimentary toiletries, and there's a drink bar available from 11:00 AM. They also offer convenient self-service luggage storage. While the room is undeniably compact—you'd struggle to open two suitcases at once—it's remarkably well-appointed for its size, and the bathtub was a particular highlight for me.

A bit far away from main stations. There is a free shuttle to JR Osaka, but not many to walk around the hotel. The facilities are actually not open to residents, only for members!
