Hotel Nashville

Hotel Nashville is a peculiar place. These units obviously used to be apartment buildings. There's nothing really wrong with that, and it gives you what amounts to a condo or cabin for the price of a regular room. Ours had a full kitchen with full sized appliances including a dishwasher, two full baths, a main bedroom and a queen size Murphy bed in the living room. Enjoy a regular thermostat for just your unit and a balcony with two small chairs. There's an indoor pool I didn't even entertain using in the four days we stayed...mostly turned off by the already heavy use. There's an on-site bar that took over the kitchen which is why there isn't breakfast on-site anymore. Staff are wonderful, but the office closes about 8pm. So, it's best to get there before then else you may have to get the bar owner to let you in (yes, really). There seems to be a number of long term residents here. There is one marked parking location for each unit, and more in the lower lot that aren't marked. Location is pretty great, but don't underestimate the effort of walking up the many, many stairs to the motel coming off the *****. You are right downtown, but that elevation still makes it a considerable walk to get to shopping and restaurants. Overall, it's a pleasant if not upscale environment for a stay in beautiful little Nashville, IN.

I have always recommended this hotel to everyone just because of the staff has the most amazing customer service until and I had the opportunity to speak with a general manager who is very very unprofessional but to top it all off the head housekeeper Roberto thought it was unacceptable to talk to me like I was beneath him I was trying to get into the side door to retrieve the rest of my belongings to check out he literally said to me and these are his words per Betim for me to shut the **** up or he would call the police on me who talks to someone like that I have given this Holiday Inn so much money I’ll offer the employees when I go out to buy them dinner I just I’m very respectful and for someone to talk to me like that that is so so unacceptable but if that’s the kind of people they want representing their establishment well then obvious they don’t value their customers. I will say one last thing he would not come outside and talk to me like that he hides behind the building the company so he thinks he can talk to people however he wants to and it’s acceptable when he could’ve stepped outside those doors and talk to me like that … and I am happy to give my name it is Michelle Thompson and I wouldn’t stay there ever again!!

They put a $100 hold on your account in addition to your room charge. I went to my room and was disgusted at what I found. The toilet wasn’t even flushed from the last person who had been there! Smears on the wall under the toilet paper, dirty sheets and pillow, and dirty carpet. Despite driving all day, I told the manager I didn’t want to stay there because of the conditions. He said I needed to leave immediately, so I got my things and went to get my receipt. He threw a fit about me wanting a copy of my receipt, and he threw it at me and said “now get out. And if the room is messed up, we’re charging you a cleaning fee.” I asked him, why would he charge me a cleaning fee? I’d been there 20 minutes and all I’d done is inspect the bedding and the room. He said, “you can’t just come in, mess everything up, and leave.” Well, he charges all these cleaning fees, and the housekeepers don’t even clean the rooms properly. Needless to say, I’m disputing this with my bank. The fitness center is shut down, hallway bathroom is shut down, they are not serving breakfast, and no daily housekeeping. There were even bugs on the check in counter. Stay far away from here! It’s not worth it to stay here, especially when it’s dirty and you don’t even get breakfast. You’re way better off staying somewhere else and not risk getting charged a cleaning fee for nothing.

I recently stayed at this Marriott hotel for 11 days while on business from Florida. My experience was truly exceptional, as the staff were incredibly generous and accommodating. The evening staff member who handled food and drinks in the lobby was particularly impressive. The bed was one of the most comfortable I've slept in, and I travel extensively, spending around 180 nights a year in hotels. The property was immaculate, and my room was spotless. I have no criticisms of this hotel; it was outstanding in every way.

When we booked our room, we were not advised that there would be a resort fee. Upon checkin, I asked what the resort fee covered. The clerk said (and I kid you now) ”things like parking”. I said ”you mean like the parking out there that everyone is currently using for free?” She didn't have a response. I called the front desk and asked if there was a microwave oven on property for guest yes. The agent told me that a microwave oven was available for a $25 per day charge. Again, this is an amenity to which I have become accustom at most properties. Our room smelled like cigarette smoke. My wife and I are both allergic. When asked if we could change rooms, the desk clerk said ”I'm sorry, we are fully committed”. I seriously doubt that on a Wednesday night. Only one restaurant was open at 8pm on Wednesday and there was nothing near the property. The food was greasy, expensive for what you got and blah. It was not even delivered by a human. A robot delivered it to the table and the waitress took if off the robot and handed it to you. Avoid Blue Chip. There are many other options available that you will like more.

I was a bit disappointed; the property wasn't quite as nice as I had expected. Overall it worked ok, but there were a few minor issues. The shower curtain didn't fit in the tub. The conditioner bottle in the shower shot upward instead of out as it was supposed to. The desk chair was very uncomfortable. The HVAC unit didn't seem up to the task of cooling the room; I had it set it to its minimum of 61-degrees to get it to be an acceptable temperature in the low 70s. There is also bright lights illuminating the side of the building; the curtains mostly blocked this out, but it made it hard to know when it was night and when the sun came up.

The hotel appeared to be in need of upkeep both in and outside. The outside landscaping needed ****ing. Also, we noticed that the flag pole did not display any flags. Normally a state flag and the US flag should be on a flag pole. Especially on Independence Day! The glass in the window of our room (230) has a crack in it. The handle of the dresser drawer was off. There was mold in the bathroom around the floor base boards and tiles. I am having allergy problems since staying in that room! On the up side, the desk clerk and food attendant were pleasant.

Again...stayed here. Hotel is still new and beautiful. A little off the beaten track on Route 31...about 12 miles north of Keystone Crossing ( the swanky shopping area). The rooms are not like the usual Springhills. Bathrooms are designed beautifully. It has a walk in closet which is helpful with shelves for your folded clothes, because there is absolutely not enough space in chest drawers. I was solo and didn't care that much. (That seems to be the case at all Springhill designs.) I liked the mobile key feature. No need to stop at the front desk. Breakfast was average. One thing though...it didn't appear hotel was that full. I stayed 2 nights. On the second day, my room had not been made up when I returned around 3PM. A bit disappointing. I do, however, recommend this hotel and will keep on staying there in the future.
