Friendly and slick service at Reception on arrival with an excellent central location. Despite the busy and lively surroundings the sense of calm and quietness is remarkable and provided two very good nights of sleep on a weekend when the nearby city night life was buzzing. Great stay.

For a single room with a double bed, it was really good value - comfortable, clean and not cramped. This room had a view of the picturesque castle. Service was friendly and helpful. For a three star hotel of vintage decor and architecture, it was pleasantly lit and not dingy and dark. A very convenient location - just a few minutes walk to the castle, the restaurants and other amenities. Will definitely consider booking here again.

The hotel is centrally located with being near to all major attractions and shopping places in the city , Great room and service . Recommended to stay

We were allocated a silent room. It was good with good bathroom and shower. Unfortunately there was yoghurt and strawberries left in a bowl in the fridge by previous person. Also clothes left in the wardrobe. This was remedied but obviously not too pleasant a start. No water in the room. Breakfast was great with plenty of choice and staff were very professional and friendly. Would return.

Overall, it was a good experience. The reception staff was a bit rude. Room service was not satisfactory. It was overpriced. The AC was not working, and there was no ventilation.

Wifi in the room didn’t work I had to check twice with the reception but it didn’t work I had to go to the lobby to access wifi. Despite having allowed to check out at 1pm housekeeper still knocked on my door at 12pm. Receptionist gave wrong info about going to the city. They made mistake with my number of luggages. Very disappointed with this Marriott property

A decent hotel. The room and bathroom was large, clean, and the bed was comfy. My gripes: - No complimentary water bottle at check-in - No toiletries package - A broken hairdryer, and even if it was working, there was no plug for it in the bathroom. - Bedroom layout meant it was hard to see the TV from the bed. - For a supposedly luxury hotel, the swimming pool was below standard. For the price, it’s not the best.

It was a pleasant stay there with convenient locations to sight seeing and logistics arrangements. There is no doubt to introduce my friends to stay a few days vacation.

Staff were amazing!! Can’t thank them enough for guiding us along this trip. Sadly the room was not up to standard, Really disappointed with the bathroom, silverfish in the sink and bath, shower was unusable due to clogged trains, beds were clean. Room included iron and board alongside other little amenities. General hygiene of the hotel was great, downstairs was beautiful, although we didn’t eat/ drink from the bar and restaurant it did look very nice. View was beautiful but would’ve been nicer if the windows were clean and hairless.

I had a lovely stay here. The room was very clean and a nice size, plenty of space for one or a couple would be fine too. The staff were very helpful and friendly and the breakfast was the usual basic hotel breakfast but satisfied me just fine. The location is perfect, so close to Cardiff Bay which is where I wanted to be, but tucked away and quiet. There was no noise from anywhere, so a very restful sleep. I will definitely stay here again if I'm in the area.
