Hotels With Bar in Cardiff, United Kingdom

The hotel would have been great value for money if it wasn't for the fact that I had the worst night ever in a hotel. Whoever was placed opposite my room in the hotel took it upon themselves to make as much noise as possible until 1:30 AM, to the point it was shouted in the corridor outside my door. They even kept trying my door handle, and I was unnerved all evening, having the need to barricade myself in. As a single woman staying alone, I didn't feel safe to go to reception until the next morning, where when I explained what had happened, I was told, ”Oh well, hopefully next time you come it will be better.” I bitterly had 4 hours of broken sleep and left at 7 AM. It's a shame as it's located exactly where I needed and the room was suitable to my needs. But the whole point of a hotel room is to sleep, and I did not sleep or feel safe.

The hotel is a wonderful old Victorian building, very close to all major tourist attractions, food shops, pubs and food market. During our 2N stay at the hotel we only faced two issues. 1)the lift is very compact (small) and slow and gave up on the second day of our stay. 2) The sink in the room got clogged but the staff immediately resolved the issue. The hotel staff were kind and courteous. I’d highly recommend staying at The Angel hotel.😊

Overall, the experience was good. However, I found the family rooms very small and not much space to move. The bathroom was beautiful however, I would expected things like shower cos, seeing kit, etc but there was nothing. Facilities at hotel were good, however there was no parking and the nearby parking was very expensive. With regards to comfort, the beds were comfortable but the pillows were very uncomfortable. There was also no fridge in the room. I had previously stayed at a double tree Hilton Hilton and expected more from Hilton. In my opinion, Double tree Hilton is much better.

I couldn’t not fault the hotel, I amazing stay the staff were very helpful and friendly too. Hotel is right by central, easy access to pubs and restaurants. The room was fabulous too OMG I didn’t wanted come home. :( I had room service I had pasta bolognaise which was blinking lush I wanted another one.

Welcomed warmly by reception and efficiently checked in. Reception also helped us with directions for both the bay and the city centre. Good location to visit Wales Millenium Centre. Just a ten minute walk. Good breakfast which was regularly replenished and tables cleaned. The staff were very friendly

I stayed here for one night for a brief business trip to Cardiff. Its location is amazing right next to the main train station.  this made it very very convenient to travel in from London and check in within minutes. The room was comfortable and the shower and bathroom were great. The breakfast was also quite impressive considering the hotel isn’t very expensive.

Great front service staff. However, no face towels or tissues were in the room. Bed was uncomfortable. Excellent location, we completed lots of walking. Buffet breakfast was awesome

Staff were amazing!! Can’t thank them enough for guiding us along this trip. Sadly the room was not up to standard, Really disappointed with the bathroom, silverfish in the sink and bath, shower was unusable due to clogged trains, beds were clean. Room included iron and board alongside other little amenities. General hygiene of the hotel was great, downstairs was beautiful, although we didn’t eat/ drink from the bar and restaurant it did look very nice. View was beautiful but would’ve been nicer if the windows were clean and hairless.

Pleasant atmosphere

It was a pleasant stay there with convenient locations to sight seeing and logistics arrangements. There is no doubt to introduce my friends to stay a few days vacation.
