The room is small, and it was still small after upgrading for an additional fee. The front desk was very helpful, and it was convenient to go out. The downstairs is connected to the mall. The SPA environment is poor, the SPA service attitude is not good, and the quality of the massage oil is not good. Because of the poor service attitude and the poor massage oil, I didn't expect it and didn't want to spend money to suffer. The Japanese dining environment is good, mainly because we booked a tatami seat, and the rigid consumption is about 450 US dollars. The three of us ate for one night and only ate about 300 US dollars. No matter what, we couldn't afford 450 US dollars. As a result, when paying the bill, we had to pay 450 US dollars, and then we were allowed to take it away. This is the first time I have encountered such a ”hard” management method of an international five-star hotel. It's just one seat, and the business is average. There are not many people. We didn't sit in that seat, so it was probably empty.
Decided to book the same hotel for our return leg after trekking in Karakol. First stay at Novotel was excellent (see my other review) but the second stay was horrible. Check in time was 3pm so we went out for lunch and got back at 3.20pm only to be told that one of the two rooms was not available. Reception staff, Zania, was rude and unapologetic and didn't even bothered to provide an estimated time. Another receptionist told us it would be about 30 mins and they would send the keys to the room. We went into the room and at 4.15pm we called the reception desk and they told us they will deliver the key in 5 mins. 10 mins have passed before the key was delivered. 5-star hotel with poor time management and bad service - no follow up on room key. Other areas were good though EXCEPT front desk staff. Staff at massage/pool were polite, so were the restaurant staff. Please educate your front desk staff especially Ms Zania, as they are the first line of service.
Good location, spacious room. All is clean and fresh.
We didn't get to breakfast because of early checkout, so can't tell anything about it.
Downside: very loud music in the restaurant below until around 21:00 (maybe not every day, but we stayed for one night only).
Overall, the hotel is good. The room is quite spacious, there is a robe and slippers. My window overlooks a construction site. The noise level is quite high. The central air conditioner is a bit of a mystery. It seems like it doesn't work as it should. Shower: the shower heads need to be changed. The top one leaks from all the cracks.
A very good luxury hotel in Kyrgyzstan, with a high cost-effectiveness. My friend and I booked a suite and a king-size bed room.
The most important thing is that it doesn't matter if you don't know the language, the check-in is smooth.
This room faces the sun, and the foot of the snow-capped mountains is at the bottom of the curtains, which is absolutely beautiful.
Apart from the scenery, the bedding is very standard, and the overall stay experience is very good.
Breakfast is 7.00-10.00, and I had a big plate of chicken for breakfast, which was touching 😹
The hotel facilities are also good. The cafe on the first floor is very suitable for afternoon tea and the Korean restaurant on the top floor is more suitable for dating. The facilities are very comfortable and the tone is very suitable.
In general, everything is fine, but there are questions about cleaning, it seems that it only includes changing towels and napkins. If you rent a hotel for a week, then you don’t have to clean the shower, bathroom or toilet 🙈 Plus, the attitude of the staff at the bar in the restaurant is unclear. We specifically agreed and made an extra payment for normal coffee, but as the staff explained to us in the morning, the barista is a person of mood and every day she decides for whom and when she will make coffee, and for whom she will not. For such a hotel, this is of course a very strange position regarding the service for which we paid. Make your own coffee in an automatic coffee machine :/
A contradictory place, on the one hand there are pros, on the other hand there are cons:
+ freshly renovated room after renovation
+ elevator works (the floors are high, and for example, 8th floor is on foot - that's the case)
+ breakfast is included (desserts and good coffee for an additional fee)
+ I booked through the app, so there was a good discount
± there is a Korean restaurant on the territory
± an outdoor pool, which is closed
± a casino, however, it depends on each person
± there are several good restaurants within walking distance
- the room in the picture and the check-in room are completely different, with different furniture, in different buildings
- the shower has been renovated, and the water drains very poorly, perhaps they screwed up with the pipes during the renovation
- directly opposite the construction of several residential buildings
- upon check-in there are only two towels, none for feet, the next day, after cleaning there was one small one left, then I asked to add more, they added more, but the slippers were gone, the next day they did a full cleaning and finally three towels appeared, but there is not a single hook in the bathroom, nowhere to hang anything
- once, at midnight, someone simply walked into a room that was locked from the inside without knocking, opening the door with their card. In the morning it turned out that the employee decided to show the room to new guests. What a nightmare, uninvited guests can literally come to you at night.
- after all, it's far from the center, not close to Erkindyk on foot.
As a result, after a night ”with a roommate”, I moved to another hotel.
