A hotel full of nostalgic and Japanese-style homestays, suitable for multi-person family travel and living, there is a small park nearby, children like it very much, although there is no parking, but it is also very close to the paid parking lot.

Very satisfied with the stay experience! Location: Very close to Kamogawa River and Kyoto Imperial Palace. You can enjoy the scenic spots on foot. However, there are less delicious food in the surrounding area because it is not in a bustling area, but it is only a few kilometers away from the downtown area. Environment: Very stylish, renovated old wooden house. I live in the largest room No. 1. If possible, I will definitely choose this room. It is larger than the others. There is a shoe-changing porch on the first floor. The living area is on the second floor. The balcony can be directly accessed. See the Japanese garden. I have to praise the courtyard, it is very beautiful and it is very comfortable to sit in the courtyard and have a drink. The room is very big. I love the wooden bathtub with a view and the Japanese-style living room. I feel like it's a waste to stay here. Service: The service attitude is great, but remember not to bring children under 12 years old‼ ️This is not obvious on the hotel reservation page. My friend brought his seven-year-old child. Fortunately, there was a Chinese-speaking front desk person who helped contact the manager to accommodate. We can check in, but the children cannot go to the restaurant area downstairs. Speaking of restaurants, my favorite is from the afternoon to 10pm, so! have! liquor! water! waived! fee! Are you really not afraid of an alcoholic like me? The only drawbacks are: the sound insulation is a bit poor, and the sounds from the street in the morning can be heard very clearly. Furthermore, the door frames are generally very low, and anyone over 1.7 meters tall may bump their heads. I bumped them twice a day on average. But don’t blame the hotel, that’s what Japanese architecture is. Will come again!

There are 3 bedrooms with 6 single bed and a queen size bed up to 8 people. The bedrooms is pretty clean and the beds are very comfortable. There amenities include fridge, microwave, silverware, plates, bowls, and chopsticks. Washing machine is on the top floor. Overall it is a very good stay, recommend.

Front parking. There is an awkward kerb placed and reversing your vehicle might mount the kerb (not sure why it was badly placed there). Accomodation is lovely, modern redefined of a Japanese house. Bedding was superb. WC located on both L1 and L2 is a plus for us.

The hotel is a traditional Japanese-style two-story building, really like the home of the machine cat. The entrance on the first floor is the entrance hall, and the entrance to the house is the living room, kitchen, toilet, bathroom and backyard view. Can truly experience the traditional Japanese-style squatter, because the original Japanese commercial housing is calculated according to the horizontal area, so resulting in the vertical design of the house, reducing the horizontal area. Focus on the key points, you must go to Figure 3 and Figure 4 near Kyoto Station to check in first, don't navigate directly to the place of accommodation, don't ask me how I know.

GGuest UserWhat a beautiful place! Kiraku Kyoto Honmachi is a house which has been refurbished with subtle taste and delightful creativity. There’s definitely magic to it! I loved walking on the pebbles in the downstairs bedroom - so soothing for sore feet. There’s also a smooth walkway to the bed if pebbles aren’t your thing. Upstairs there’s a tokonoma with scroll, as well as a full set of equipment for carrying out a tea ceremony, including of course, matcha. The host even had delicious matcha “financiers” waiting for us upon arrival. The outdoor bath is brilliant. It’s quite easy to fill and I’d highly recommend having an outdoor soak every night. Seeing as some in our group weren’t up for tourism in the city, it was doubly worthwhile to have stayed in such a house where they could breathe in Kyoto atmosphere without ever moving from the tatami!

GGuest UserHighly recommended for getting authentic and unique experience of staying at the Japanese house. Great location, near to Shoji Dori, a huge shopping street, a short bus ride to Gion and metro station allowing to get to all historical attractions. The home is really nice, with all necessary amenities, clean and roomy. Want to specifically mention its interior decorations, really awesome. Tourist tip: print out your reservation with the home’s address in Japanese to avoid any difficulties with finding your way to the location, you show it to the taxi drivers and they will find the place. And special thanks to the Team: you are so helpful and friendly!

BbrownberryIt is a temporary but nice and spacious home in Kyodo. It is located in a very quiet neighbourhood, and the facilities are very good. The beddings on the tatami floor are so good that I slept like a baby for all three nights. The only inconvenience is that there’s no cleaning service for my three-night stay, making the trash bins a bit messy! But all in all, it is super great experience to stay in this lovely Japanese old house, with all the modern convinience such as floor heating, for a Kyodo holiday.

GGuest UserHighly recommended! A family experience that is very satisfying. I am very grateful to my friend for recommending this Kyoto Machiya. The double-storey house can accommodate four of us, as well as outdoor baths. Although I only stayed for one night, I will definitely stay again next time I return to Kyoto!

GGuest UserThis year, Kyoto's red leaf season ended a little later, and luckily booked a room far below the November price. This door is not big but there is a hole in the sky inside. It feels like there is a townhouse built in 4-5. Our check-in time was relatively late, and the small requirements made to the front desk lady were met. There are two floors, two bedrooms and two bathrooms. Our couple is a bit extravagant. It should not be crowded next time we bring our parents again (it is estimated that it is inconvenient for both parents to come). The block is very quiet, not far from Nijo City, about seven or eight minutes from Omiya Station, we dragged our suitcases on the quiet street at night a little embarrassing: D. Overall satisfaction, if the price is right, I will choose next time.
