3-Star Hotels in Shiga Prefecture, Japan

The price is cheap, the environment is good, and Lake Biwa is close! This place is suitable for couples to stay in. The room is large and there are game consoles and toys that are not suitable for children!

We didn't know that this is a love hotel and only realised it the day before checking in, as the check in is only from 6pm. The room is very spacious and we didn't mind the ****, condoms and lots of beauty products it came with. :D However, I didn't know that hotel rooms in Japan can allow smoking, so the strong cigarette smell in the room was very off putting. We put up a 'do not disturb' sign because we don't need cleaning daily. The second day I noticed some of the **** from the hotel were gone in our room but the room wasn't made (bed wasn't made, trash not emptied). I asked the staff and they said they removed it because they thought it bothered us. This was a bit weird to me, I'm not sure where they got the idea from and I don't know why they entered the room. It's also important to note that the train only runs once per hour most of the day (during some hours twice).

The room, bath, and toilet were all clean! The room was spacious, and we stayed in a twin room with one adult and two children, but we had a very comfortable stay! The breakfast was also delicious and we were very satisfied! This is a hotel I would like to stay at again ^_^

The cheap price has its reasons, it is equivalent to the domestic Super 8. It is quite convenient to shop and take a bus around. One step to the countryside, one step to the bustling city, one step to the mountain, and one step to the boat. If a person is tired of the hustle and bustle of the city and wants to hide occasionally, this is still a good choice. After all, it is absolutely affordable to live here in seclusion for a month or two in Japan.

It was as clean as a business hotel.. I couldn't sleep because the room next door was too noisy..... The location is right in front of the station, so it's good, but if you don't have any business in Minakusa, like school, don't bother staying here.

This hotel was recommended by my Japanese friend in Shiga. It has a great location and can be seen from Omihachiman Station. The key is the sunrise in the morning 🌅 It is extremely beautiful! I will choose this hotel next time~

The motel is for adults only and with high privacy but it is difficult to look for the reception. The staff is nice although she can’t speak English. Room is big is good value of price.

Compared with first-tier business hotels, the hotel's hardware is a little old-fashioned, but the location is really good, right in front of the JR station. In addition, all guests have free breakfast, which is not bad. I stayed in early March, and the snow-covered mountains by Lake Biwa were outside the window.

This hotel is just next to Maibara. It is very convenient to go other parts of Lake Biwa. Its bed and pillows are comfortable. Just like other japan hotels, small challenges to open two 24” luggages. Breakfast is simple and nice. There are several types of rice balls to choose (love the fried chicken, egg, fried meat), miso soup, corn soup, healthy fruit juice, bread and coffee.

The accommodation comes with breakfast, and the breakfast is rich. The breakfast changes every day for three days, which is good. The hotel is about a 5-minute walk from JR Otsu. There are some shops and supermarkets around. You can walk to Mii Temple, but it is relatively quiet and there are not many tourists. I stayed on the 14th floor. The room is small but well-equipped. I operated the machine myself. There were Chinese prompts. I chose not to clean, but I was given a new towel every day, which was hung in the bag outside the door. The wifi in the room was available in the afternoon of the first day, but it was not available at night. I went to the front desk to negotiate. The communication was a bit complicated, but it was solved smoothly. In addition, a password was given, but the wifi in the room on the 14th floor was not very stable for three days. Overall, it is still a recommended place.
