Excellent hotel for its price. The hotel is well located. Near the castle and the park. The room is small, but clean and cozy. The staff is friendly. In the lobby you can drink free coffee and in the morning buy delicious and fresh pastries for breakfast.
Right near the historic canal area with plenty of restaurants and convenience stores around, this hotel has a great location. The room was very clean and WiFi worked great.
The only weird thing to me was breakfast, which were pre-packaged sandwiches (tasted great by the way!). Outside of breakfast hours you weren't allowed to get coffee from the machine, you had to use boiled water and instant coffee instead in your room, a missed chance for something so benign.
Had good dinner , dinner last order at 830pm with 2 sets of choices , breakfast start at 630am buffet style, coffee machine out of order, female onsen need to get key from reception counter and use another lift to go up , washing machine is 300 yen and dryer 100yen , able to communicate with simple English. Near to Aeon mall. Okayama JR take East exit
I went with my child this time, but the surrounding area is a love hotel district, so if that bothers you, I'd recommend avoiding it.
The room was clean, but the smell of cigarettes bothered me. The lights in the bathroom were dim, so I wish they were a little brighter or adjustable. The lights around the bed were also difficult to adjust (not the type that you can adjust by turning, it just goes dark or bright), so that bothered me too.
Also, there is a vending machine in the room for paid items, but the lever seems to be easily lowered, so I bought something without realizing, so if you have children, you should be careful. I didn't have to pay if I told them I didn't buy anything...
It was nice that there were a variety of free amenities to choose from.
The hotel itself is a tourist attraction. There is a souvenir shop selling local specialties at a reasonable price. There is a bathing area. The counter staff can communicate in English. There is a parking lot opposite the gate and the entrance and exit are on the other side of the road.
The location of the hotel is super convenient. It takes 5 minutes to reach the JR station and 10 minutes to walk to the beautiful area. The hotel has complete facilities, including billiard table, executive lounge, hot spring bath, and delicious and rich breakfast. The room is relatively small, but very practical.
Although far from the station, it is very close to Okayama City and there is a shopping street nearby that is very cheap. Hotel service is good and equipment is very new.
The location is very convenient. Just across the road is the beautiful area. There is a brother at the front desk who speaks very good English and has no barriers to communication. There is a multi-story parking lot behind the hotel, 1,100 yen per night until 11 am the next day. The room is bigger than the Dormy Inn in Takamatsu, and there are still warm hot springs, ice cream and ramen, great!
The hotel's location is very convenient, allowing travelers to easily explore the surrounding attractions. The cleanliness of the room is satisfactory and a high standard of cleaning is maintained, making you feel at ease staying here. The service staff is very friendly and professional, and is considerate both at check-in and in daily needs. The hot spring facilities are also highly recommended, allowing travelers to completely relax after their trip. Overall, this is an excellent accommodation choice with a great location, good cleanliness, excellent service and a great spa.
Hotel is initially a little hard to find (as the lobby is via a lift tucked away in a corner), but location is very convenient with easy access to train platforms, shops, buses, etc. Staff very polite and helpful. Room comfy and clean, but pillows rather hard. 30-minute walk to Okayama Castle and Korakuen Garden.

GGuest UserWhen I was looking for a place to stay in Okayama on a car trip, I came across this hotel, which has a good reputation. And it lived up to its reputation. The room was spacious, the facilities were new and clean.
SSiren500It's hard to describe...
1. The facilities are old. In addition to the two sockets on the table, there is one at the door of the toilet, and the main point is that you forget to take it away. They sell everything under the concept of environmental protection, water is 100, various vending machines, and toothbrushes and toothpaste are taken downstairs.
2. The bathroom bar is definitely cleaner than in China, maybe because it's old. Anyway, the table and bedspread look a bit uncomfortable. I ordered a big bed, and the bedspread made my butt itch after using it for a while
3. It's far away from Okayama, 20 minutes walk, mainly because the road is bumpy all the way there, it's really not friendly to pull a big suitcase. From the hotel to the nearby dining place is basically equivalent to walking back to the station. Even the convenience store is less than 10 minutes away, which is definitely not the distance to buy water in slippers and coats.
4. I spent a long time looking for the name when I checked in, and I met a wave of business meeting guests. Who said Japan is quiet?
If it's a good place, it includes breakfast, and the variety is quite rich. Early in the morning, curry rice, French bread and coffee...

LLinThe location is great. You can get there from the east exit of Okayama JR Station through the shopping street. There are FamilyMart, supermarkets, and restaurants nearby. It is very convenient. It takes about 15 minutes to walk to Okayama Castle and Korakuen. But unfortunately, our room seemed to be occupied. I was assigned the smallest one, without a bathtub, but the equipment is quite complete. I will consider staying here again next time
AAnonymous UserStaff were pleasant and the room was comfortable! Best part was that they can keep your luggage for you even after check out as long as you claim it by the end of the day, really helped with my post check out travels 😁 Will def rebook if I ever have the chance!
GGuest UserI have stayed at many Toyoko Inns, and this time I had the worst accommodation experience. The main reason is that the hotel is located next to the railway tracks, and there is the sound of trains passing by at night. The staff at the counter do not speak English well, and it will be difficult for non-Japanese speakers to communicate. Another is that when checking in, the hotel will inform you that if you extend your stay, you will only be provided with towel replacement and no cleaning. However, the way towels are provided is to directly ”place” large and small towels on the floor, which is somewhat unhygienic. (It is also an affordable hotel, so whether it is communication or sound insulation, there should be better choices)
GGuest UserThe hotel is a bit far from the station, but is still walking distance. The room is small. The service is great. The staff can communicate in basic English but they are very helpful in providing information.
Mmiiiii94Since there were three of us, the room felt small, but we were happy to be able to stay at a cheap price near the station. There was no mold or smell to worry about, so it was great!
The large communal bath only had three showers, so it was unfortunate that we couldn't use it when it was busy. It was also clean, like a local public bath.
The staff were very kind, and we were able to leave satisfied!
