"It is acceptable to stay if you don't mind the whole environment. It is convenient to shop and have something to eat or drink because the department store is nex to the hotel. The price is not very high and acceptable for the living space, but the light is not very bright"
Merry Day Hotel
"A good budget hotel well located. Tiny rooms but hot shower. Cold and indifferent breakfast"
Pause Landis Resort
"We loved it so much that we decided to stay for one more night. We stayed at a different room because of the price difference. I would recommend to stay in the room with river view instead. This room that we stayed in seems to be louder and less clean.. I can see what some people didn’t like it. The hotel doesn’t have laundry facilities or gym. It would be nice if there’s one of these amenities. Also, need more usb plug in :)"
K Hotel Yungho
"I stayed there with family for 3 days and alone for 4 more days. The rooms are big enough for family and solo traveler. The breakfast was Chinese style more and quite ok. I did not enjoy the coffee from the machine though."
CHECK inn Express New Taipei Tamsui

InterContinental Hotels NEW TAIPEI HOT SPRING by IHG
"Overall, I would definitely return, but for a weekend stay, I'd give it about a 60% recommendation. Upon entering the room, the curtains automatically opened with the touch-sensitive key, revealing a stunning mountain view – a fantastic first impression, befitting a high-end hotel. We stayed in a king-size bed room, which was very large and comfortable, and the overall space was spacious and comfortable. The room's design details were very appealing; the TV could be rotated to different angles, allowing us to watch movies or play music while soaking in the hot spring, enhancing the ambiance. The sofa chair and small table at the foot of the bed were very practical, serving as a small living area for relaxation, snacks, and tea. The wardrobe was also spacious enough to easily store luggage and hang clothes upon entering, with a clear layout that prevented the room from feeling cluttered. The hot spring bath was clean, and soaking in the hot spring while enjoying the view was truly relaxing. The bathrobes and towels were very soft, and the balcony was also clean, with a small sofa chair for relaxing. The hairdryer was of good quality and sufficient. I also really liked the room's drinking water system; no need to boil water or worry about the kettle's hygiene – a thoughtful detail. If you really need any amenities, you can call the front desk. We forgot our toothpaste this time, and they provided ORA2 toothpaste, which was of good quality. I really liked the design of the breakfast restaurant, [Shima]. The overall space was very comfortable, with large floor-to-ceiling windows that provided excellent natural light. You could see the hotel's architecture outside, with a Zen-like style that made breakfast relaxing. The hotel lighting at night was also beautiful; the lines and lighting of the corridors were very sophisticated, creating a great atmosphere even just walking around the hotel. Unfortunately, the check-in process and staffing were noticeably insufficient on the weekend. We arrived around 3:35 PM (check-in was at 4:00 PM), and the lobby was already full, but there was no clear queue. There were only three staff members at the counter, one of whom was reserved for VIP members. Initially, we had to stand and wait to be served. It wasn't until the third time we made eye contact with a manager that someone came to collect our documents and informed us that there were three more groups of guests ahead of us. The order was quite chaotic at one point. The front desk informed us that the room wouldn't be ready until 4:30 PM at the earliest, so they compensated us with two welcome drink vouchers and extended our check-out time to 12:00 PM. The handling was considerate, but the overall process still has room for improvement. Breakfast staff were also stretched thin. With an hour left before closing time, some dishes were already being replenished too late, and the scene appeared slightly chaotic. For an InterContinental hotel of this level and price, crowd control at weekend restaurants needs improvement. However, the dining environment itself was comfortable, beautiful, and inviting, encouraging guests to sit down and enjoy their meal. Regarding the surrounding area, there aren't many distinctive or upscale restaurants or cafes outside the hotel that we could easily visit, which is a bit of a shame. However, we were prepared for this beforehand and hope that more quality establishments will develop in the area in the future. Overall, the rooms, hot spring, views, architecture, and overall design of the New Taipei InterContinental are truly excellent, which is the main reason we would return. However, the current maturity of manpower and processes on weekends is still limited. If you are a couple relaxing, celebrating a birthday, or want to enjoy a good hot spring, I would recommend staying on weekdays for a more complete experience. If you stay on weekends, I suggest you be prepared for the waiting time and crowds."
Fullon Hotel Fulong
"Nice and clean room. Breakfast is great. Free snacks and drinks in the room."
Four Points by Sheraton Linkou
"Visited the area for a concert. The hotel sits right outside metro station just across the road (and it's a 15-minute train ride from the airport), they have everything nearby, an outlet, loads of restaurants. Room is clean and tidy, has enough space for two medium sized suitcases, might be slightly tight for larger ones but I'm sure it's manageable. A shame that I don't get to stay longer than a night, will be back if have chance."
