It's a brand new hotel. As one of the first guests, it's the first time I have an entire hotel to myself. The room is super large, surprisingly clean, and the Nanyang-style villa🏠 is surrounded by banana trees, coconut trees🌮, frangipani🌾, and green lawns. No 🩟, only the faint fragrance of plumeria. 🚕About distance In the northwest corner of Bohol, an independent island đŸïžPangangan Island. It takes 2 hours to drive from Panglao. However, dear friends, the hotel is right opposite CabilaođŸ€ż, the famous diving spot in Bohol! Crab boat is a 10-minute sea ride! Friends who like diving can definitely stay at H resort and sail to CabilaođŸ€ż. The experience will be much better! đŸ”ïžAbout Activity What are you doing living so far away? In fact, it only takes 1 hour to drive to the Chocolate Hills from H Resort, which is about the same as the baby living in Panglao, so the inland tour of the Chocolate Hills ⛰ Tarsier đŸ” Lobo River Fireflies đŸȘČ can be arranged. Cambuhat Oyster FarmđŸŠȘ is about a 30-minute drive from the hotel. It is estimated that other hotels are far away, only H is relatively close. The hotel's submarine and shooting facilities are currently not open for business, but they will probably be arranged soon! 🛝What can you do in the hotel? Invincible sea view swimming pool🏊, you can see us in the swimming pool outside the glass wooden wall, perfect for checking in and taking pictures! Arrange a sunset seaside spa! At the seaside pavilion, blowing the sea breeze, listening to the waves🌊, watching🌅, and doing SPA💆, it's so comfortable! The massage after diving đŸ’†â™€ïž really made me feel tired. 🍮About the restaurant BreakfastđŸˆ¶ïžAmerican, British and Filipino options. The đŸ„„black pepper crabđŸŠ€ïž for dinner is super delicious! recommend!

Our stay at Mithi Resort & Spa was nothing short of exceptional. From the moment we arrived, the staff made us feel welcomed with warm hospitality and seamless check-in. The room was spacious, elegantly designed, and impeccably clean, offering stunning views of the garden and beach. The amenities were top-notch, with a well-equipped fitness center, a relaxing spa, and a beautiful pool area. The food was delicious and we made our 1st wedding anniversary memorable. Highly recommended 💯

I recently stayed at BAI Hotel Cebu in a Deluxe Room, and it was a great experience. The room was modern, spacious, and well-maintained, with a comfortable bed and a fantastic city view. The amenities were excellent, including a well-stocked minibar, a sleek bathroom, and strong Wi-Fi—perfect for both relaxation and work. The hotel staff was accommodating and professional, making check-in and check-out seamless. The breakfast buffet had a wide selection of delicious options, catering to different tastes. The location is also convenient, close to malls and key areas in Cebu. Overall, BAI Hotel Cebu exceeded my expectations. Whether for business or leisure, I’d definitely recommend staying here! 😊

This has been our 4th stay in Solea and it never disappointed us. The room was big but it showed it got old over years since our sink doesn't drain easily and shower doesn't work properly. Nevertheless, the Aqua Park was such fun for my kid and even to us. The slide was amazing and several activities you get to choose from to enjoy the stay. The pools were many to choose from. The buffet was generous but we got stuck in a long queue so we waited our turn for several minutes. We stayed for a birthday celebration and Solea was thoughtful enough to put something special in the room for the celebrant and it was warmth Welcome. Looking forward to another stay soon.

We booked two rooms and we were only able to get one room when we checked in and the other room an hour and a half after! We followed up multiple times and complained about how the room wasn’t ready when it’s already the check-in time. They told us that the staff was already on the way up to bring the key card for the other room yet it took a long time (given the fact that the rooms were just at the second floor, above the lobby) when we followed up for the third time, we were told that the card was being brought from the main wing that’s why it’s taking so long like? we literally got the key card from our first room on the front desk lobby below our floor (ocean wing). They are also very strict about the room capacity that you have to pay 3k plus to pay for an extra person unlike other four-five star hotels. The room was also dusty, my boyfriend kept sneezing non-stop when we went in the room and had to take anti-histamine. Facilities were great though.

The hotel has a good location in downtown area of Dumaguete. I gone a windowless room and didn’t like it very much since you feel your in prison. Not really but it’s not natural. The bed are fine but just one pillow per bed. Breakfast was good. Internet was off and on.

The Badian Resort is best for the secluded getaway or just a quiet rest.  You must get yourself by taxi or other vehicle to their pick-up pier where you be greeted by someone from their security team.  He will verify you are expected and call one of their speedy water taxis and in 5 minutes you will arrive on the island where you will be met by one of their friendly staff.  I was given a welcome flower to wear.  I was quickly checked in, then personally escorted to my cabana.  The room was very attractive, clean, safe, well laid out, quiet, roomy, and comfortable.  Note:  the room (my room) had neither teIevision nor phone - which was fine by me.  WiFi was great.  Cellular was zero.  Yes, this is secluded.  I arrived too late to use their pool, which closes at 5pm.  Had a great dinner there with a large selection to order from.  Breakfast was good, but not as good as dinner.  The Badian’s grounds are fairly large.  There didn’t seem to be other businesses or places to go on this island, so the focus is the resort.   I liked it very much and would definitely recommend it for anyone looking a laid back experience.

Although this hotel is between ‘ports’ that make up the Cebu coast and between the whale watching areas, I’d highly recommend this place. After requesting a room with a view, I was not disappointed! My own private balcony overlooking the beach and waves lapping to send me off to sleep. Arriving late, the amazing and friendly staff kept the kitchen open for me and I was reminded of the friendly reputation of the Philippines people. Now one surprise was the 250 odd steps one needs to get to your rooms - but the view alone is worth it and the staff have a pulley system to send your luggage up or down for your convenience! And silver lining, the steps means no need for holiday exercise!

This was one of the finest trips I have ever experienced, and I would eagerly return to the Philippines solely to stay at this resort. While there were some initial issues with bugs, the staff responded promptly and demonstrated exceptional kindness, significantly enhancing my overall satisfaction. However, the problem-solving procedures could benefit from greater professionalism, akin to what is found in high-end hotels. Overall, the experience was truly outstanding.

GGuest UserWe stayed at Henann Tawala Hotel for a week upon arriving in Bohol, and it was a fantastic experience. The hotel is spotlessly clean, living up to its 4-star rating. Upon arrival, the staff were very attentive—our bags were handled, and we were offered breakfast while our early check-in was expedited. One thing to be aware of is the 3,000 pesos per night damage deposit. If paid by credit card, any charges, such as room service or drinks at the swim-up bar, are deducted from it, with the balance refunded after checkout. The breakfast area is beautifully presented, with friendly staff who greet you warmly. After giving your room number and surname, you’re escorted to a table. However, we noticed some inconsistency in service—on some days we were offered coffee or tea, while on others we weren’t. There were also times when water wasn’t provided, so we ended up with double servings after fetching it ourselves. Consistency in service would enhance the experience, but the self-service station for coffee, water, and juices was convenient. Breakfast options were excellent, with plenty of variety to suit all preferences. Everything was well-prepared and delicious. One small issue was being asked to leave a yogurt behind when I tried to take it out of the breakfast area. I understand the rule to prevent excessive takeaway, but I felt a little flexibility could be applied for small items. The rooms at Henann Tawala are impressive—spacious with great bathrooms and lovely balconies. Among the best we’ve stayed in, they’re comparable to high-end hotels like Radisson Blu in Cebu or Seda Ayala Central Block. The reception staff were incredibly helpful. They arranged a reasonably priced van for our trip to Tagbilaran, and the driver was punctual, providing a comfortable ride. He even dropped us off at the right spot for catching a van to Anda at the Dao Bus Terminal. One nice perk of staying here is the short walk to Henann's beachfront property, where you can use the sun loungers shaded by palm trees and enjoy drinks served by the staff. However, you can’t use the pool there, and you need to pick up towels from Henann Tawala before heading to the beach. The beach is beautiful, but there are quite a few hawkers selling tours, which can be a bit of a nuisance. We found better deals on Facebook. The sea is warm, though there’s a fair amount of seaweed. I’d recommend snorkeling to watch your step, as there are starfish and possibly sea urchins. We only swam once. If you buy mangosteen from beach vendors (150-200 pesos), check for ants, as one of our bags was full of them! Just outside the hotel’s main gates, there’s an ATM and a laundry shop that charges around 400 pesos for 5 kg, returning clothes washed, dried, and folded by 5 pm. It’s much cheaper than the hotel’s laundry service. We also tried the Kajun Restaurant nearby, which offers excellent chicken sandwiches, fries, and milkshakes in an American diner style. On the beachfront, our favorite restaurant was the Oasis Resort’s upstairs bar and restaurant, which has a cooling breeze and a great view of the beach. Every dish we tried was fantastic, and we highly recommend it. While our stay at Henann Tawala was wonderful, Panglao itself felt quite touristy. There were many Korean tourists, and a lot of locals trying to sell tours and services, which sometimes felt overwhelming. Prices were higher than we expected, especially for things like tricycles, which cost 150 pesos per person compared to the 12 pesos we paid in the provinces. Restaurant prices were also inflated, and even basic supplies came at a premium. If you prefer a quieter, more authentic experience, I’d recommend visiting somewhere like Anda. It has a more laid-back, provincial vibe, with friendlier locals and a slower pace of life, making it a peaceful alternative to the busy, touristy atmosphere of Panglao.

BBubbleChimpGood for experienced divers but not for new divers, solo travellers, relaxing beach time or a deluxe experience even though it was ÂŁ200+ a night so I did not think it was good value. For me it was just the wrong choice and I didn't do enough research. The main disappointment comes down to me basing my expectations on the price instead of the 3 star rating. I haven't paid that much for a hotel before and usually go for 4 or 5 star places so I just don't understand the pricing, maybe that's just how it is in the Philippines. The staff and service are good, breakfast and the room are ok, spa and diving are the good amenities so it might be the diving location which warrants the price. Lunch and dinner are good. I recommend the honey yoghurt muesli with mango and the chicken salad (with a dressing) for breakfast. Everything I had on the lunch/dinner menu was great - the tom kha gai soup, Dorado, burger, curry etc all good. Small range of beers and cocktails available but cocktails were good too. The room and bathroom are fine for 3 star standards. There is termite stuff falling from the wood beams and dead moths or similar insects on shelves which did not get cleaned away. The Swedish massage was good, I recommend Gail. The shiatsu was painful and pinched my skin so she switched to Swedish. The pool is murky and not enticing to swim in, lots of mozzies around it too. I much preferred the beach and water conditions further down at Dauin. I like to relax on a nice beach and swim etc. that's where the great snorkeling is too. But the water at Atlantis is too rough and windy and the beach too narrow. Although the dive masters are great for leading dives and probably for the other diving skills, I wouldn't recommend getting your open water certificate here especially if you're at all nervous about it. There were some differences with the SSI videos like being able to practise boat entry in the pool first and using a snorkel that I would have preferred what with the condition of the water there. The beach, water and entry conditions are so much better 20-30min down the beach at Dauin, Bongo Bongo beach. I managed to earn my open water and it was the reason for this trip but it wasn't a pleasant experience and I watched the divers enter at Dauin quite jealously. Considering you can do 4-5 dives a day here plus a day for Apo island, I think 3-4 days here would be perfect. The hotel tour prices were a bit more expensive than others I found and they do not arrange joiner tours so as a solo traveller, their tours were prohibitively expensive. For some reason there were no joiner tours available outside the hotel either, I don't know if that's because of the season (jan-feb) or that's usual for the Philippines but it's the first time I've experienced that in my travels. The tour to Apo Island is good and well arranged. The only thing is as a snorkeler you have to wait until after lunch to get to the shallow turtle area but it was great and a benefit of going with the hotel is you leave on their boat right from the hotel, no need to drive to the ferry.

LLeo McGoohanThe resort is very good overall. However there's a few niggles. Check in took way too long. 2 people serving? When you have a long queue in the heat of the lobby this isn't a great first impression. The lobby on arrival was so busy. When I've checked into other hotels I've usually been impressed with the smoothness of check in. This wasn't a pleasant experience or environment especially if you're traveling with children. We couldn't get a massage. We wanted to confirm the time the next day and they wouldn't give us this option.? The lift? One lift in the main area? For a resort this big and expensive they should have more lifts The stairs at the pool are stony. This will really hurt your feet when you're not expecting it The breakfast is good for Filipinos however for Westerners like myself there should be more choice. Not just bread and egg. The beach is small. You get hassled by people trying to sell you stuff. Protect your belongings. Doesn't feel safe, look out for algae in the water. Not pleasant to swim through. The resort restaurants are very expensive. The lobby isn't air conditioned? Why not make it a pleasure to be in the lobby and serve coffee to guests? Not everyone wants ice tea. We were told to pay 6000php on arrival which luckily we had but we didn't know about this deposit for incidentals ahead of time. The positives are. They gave us umbrellas when we walked outside for the shade. The shower in our room was excellent. The warm water in the pool. And swimming till late is lovely. The staff are very good and attentive and professional. They served us with care and attention and nothing was too much trouble. I got looked after by the nurse at 10pm.

TTable_for_3We just returned home from Crimson Resort and Spa Mactan. It was our first time in Cebu. It was a short but great trip. The highlights: Accommodations: We chose Crimson because we frequent high-rise hotels when traveling and decided this time we wanted a villa/bungalow type of room. No hallways and no elevators. Crimson checked those boxes. They also accommodated our requests for a king bed and first floor room. Activities and amenities: Our daughter loved Crimzone and the children’s pool. It was hard to get her to leave. The Saturday foam party was fun and the pool staff were engaging. My wife and I both availed the spa and wow, we can see why they won an award for Best Value in Asia. The price was affordable while the quality of service was top-notch. Food: The buffet breakfast was good and had a lot of variety. My favorite item was the fruit and veggie smoothies. Who knew bakchoy and mango blend well together? But it was the attentive staff that really made breakfast a great experience. We tried the 24-hour room service and I swear the chicken club sandwich was one of the best I’ve had in my entire life 5/5! The lowlights: Here are some reasons why we are not giving Crimson an excellent review. 1. Overpriced/low quality food in Saffron during ala carte dinner. Our first night we arrived in the evening and were hungry. For two people (our daughter is a toddler) we paid over 5000php for an appetizer, 3 entrees, one beer and one bottle of water. Honestly, the price would be ok for this amount of food if the quality was better. I would suggest Aka or Enye for higher quality food although we didn’t try either. Saffron was empty that night and we found out why. 2. Distance to places/sites. Crimson is quite far for shopping or eating at other restaurants. We hired a private car for 3 hours and was only able to visit two sites and one pasalubong store. Luckily it was only moderate traffic on that Saturday. 2500php for a sedan for 3 hours was reasonable. 3. The gift shop is waaaay overpriced. 950php for a small tube of sunblock seemed very high even at a resort. We also wanted some souvenirs, but there wasn’t much variety at all. 4. Our room needed some TLC. The paint in the nice tub was chipping, the caulking in the showers could use a refresh and there was a huge ipis (roach) in the closet. Luckily we spent most of the time outside the room. 5. No floaties or life vests for toddlers to use, even for rental. Despite having almost everything else, this would have been a nice touch. 6. We came to Cebu for mangoes and lechon, but Crimson didn’t offer these items and again, because of distance, it would have been nice to have some at the hotel. The bottom line: We enjoyed our stay and would definitely recommend it to others, however we would give them our full review so they are aware of the pros and cons. Thank you to the wonderful staff that made up for the minor issues we encountered!

JJIANWe stayed in a room on the 8th floor of the Palm building, The view is very spacious, and you can see planes taking off one after another from the distance. There is a drying rack on the balcony for hanging swimsuits, which is a very practical design. The water park is very suitable for children, the rooftop bar is very relaxing, and the drinks are delicious. The Earth restaurant offers Chinese cuisine with large portions. In the photos, we ordered small portions. The staff at both restaurants are very enthusiastic. However, the downside is that we had to wait a long time for the room, and we didn’t get the room card until nearly 3:30 p.m. After a long journey, this was a very frustrating process. Additionally, there was no hairdryer in the room, and it took three phone calls before one was finally delivered, which was also a negative experience.

GGuest UserGranada is a special place to stay. The owners are on the grounds and personally assisting with the guests and things around the resort. Food menus are set for every other day, which is unique. The food is delicious! A mix between local and foreign cuisine. They’re accommodating with minor changes to each meal if you request it. They also asked if we wanted our Mel served in our room, which is very cool also! Adults only, so it is a quiet place. Pool is 24 hours. Check out time can be flexible if requested and the room isn’t booked for your check out day. This is a great place for couples who want a quiet and relaxing place to stay. It’s nearby Oslob, the place to see whale sharks. If taking a bus from Cebu city, the trip is about 3.5-4 hours depending on traffic. The beach is relaxing with very natural sand composition and the sand isn’t connected to the water, it’s above it. Bring water shoes as the water is natural with coral. Great for snorkeling! At night we found a giant hermit crab on the beach! First time to see one so big!

XxtynI recently stayed at this hotel and had a fantastic experience! The breakfast buffet was the highlight of my stay—there were so many options to choose from, catering to different tastes and dietary preferences. Whether you prefer a hearty meal or something light, there’s definitely something for everyone. The hotel also offers various scheduled activities, which add to the fun experience. My personal favorite was the foam party, though I believe it’s only available on weekends or specifically on Saturday nights. If you’re around during that time, it’s definitely worth joining! As for the room, it was absolutely the best—spacious, clean, and well-equipped with everything needed for a comfortable stay. However, it does come at a higher price, but the quality and comfort make it worth it. Another great feature is that the hotel is pet-friendly, which is a big plus for those traveling with pets! Just note that there is an additional fee for bringing your furry friends. Overall, I highly recommend this hotel, especially for those who enjoy good food, fun activities, and a comfortable stay!

MMiechelIt was indeed a great and wonderful stay at Solea Seaview Resort. My husband really enjoyed and loved the food plus the fascinating ambiance from our room seeing the pool and the beach. Very relaxing sitting in the balcony watching both sunrise and sunset. Moreover, it was amazing to see those waiter and waitress who will perform whenever there’ll be a birthday celebration. The downside was that, it was far from the mall plus the traffic and with the amenities, I wish there will be a hair dryer. Overall, it was really a great and unforgettable experience staying at Solea for 13 nights ❀
