We spent the first two days of our trip staying in town at Sa Pa, and for the next two nights we moved slightly out of town to Hotel DeLaMont. The hotel is located about a 10-minute drive from the town center, perched high on a hill overlooking the valley. One of the main reasons we chose this hotel was precisely for that spectacular valley view, which is said to be among the best in Sa Pa. Unfortunately, during our stay, the weather fully lived up to Sa Pa’s nickname as the “City in the Fog.” Thick fog rolled in every day, and visibility was sometimes close to zero—especially on the darker roads without streetlights while our Grab drivers navigated the winding hills. Thankfully, on the morning of our final day, the clouds finally lifted a little and we were blessed with a partial glimpse of the breathtaking valley view we had been hoping for. Our room was spacious and very clean. The bed was essentially two super single beds pushed together, which meant you could feel the gap in the middle while sleeping. It’s not the most comfortable setup, but still manageable for a short stay. The minibar follows the usual hotel practice—aside from complimentary water, tea, and coffee, the rest of the items are chargeable. One thing we appreciated was the smart TV. We spent some relaxing time listening to music and watching travel videos on YouTube after long days exploring Sa Pa. The bathroom was clean and equipped with a modern electric shower system, which was quite impressive. They even installed a heated lamp to keep you warm while showering—something you’ll definitely appreciate in the chilly Sa Pa climate. However, the wash basin design could be improved. Water tends to collect around the sides, leaving the surface constantly wet, and occasionally attracting small bugs. The hotel doesn’t include breakfast by default, but you can pay extra if you’d like the convenience of eating on-site. It’s not the cheapest option, but it’s certainly convenient. The hotel also offers facilities like a gym and a swimming pool. The pool is supposed to be heated, but during our visit the weather was extremely foggy and humid, so the heating was turned off and swimming wasn’t really appealing anyway. Their rooftop area is quite beautiful and would probably be an amazing place to enjoy the valley view on a clear day. Overall, despite the foggy weather limiting the scenery, Hotel DeLaMont is still a comfortable and decent hotel with spacious rooms and good facilities. On a clear day, the view alone would likely make the stay even more memorable.

We recently had the pleasure of staying at KK Sapa Hotel and thoroughly enjoyed our experience. The staff were exceptionally friendly and attentive, creating a warm and welcoming atmosphere throughout our stay. The hotel is beautifully designed, with elegant interiors and a unique layout featuring two lobbies connected to different road levels, which I found particularly impressive and distinctive. We also greatly enjoyed the buffet, which offered a delightful variety of fresh and delicious dishes. Overall, KK Hotel provides a lovely combination of excellent service, charming design, and quality dining. I would gladly return and highly recommend it to others. :)

Generally hotel standard is below the standard of a 4 star hotel Location is not very good and quite far from the town centre about 30 minutes walk HOTEL room is very big for single occupancy Hotel amenities were in quite bad. The swimming pool is closed and the bar is closed as well. Rooms were clean. Service is satisfactory and the reception does not speak English.

Pao’s Sapa Leisure Hotel – Excellent Location & Outstanding Staff I recently stayed at Pao Sapa Hotel and had a wonderful experience. The location is excellent—right beside Moana Sapa and just a few kilometers from Cat Cat Village, making sightseeing very convenient. The town is also within walking distance from the hotel. The room was spacious with a beautiful valley view, and the breakfast was delicious. The language barrier can be challenging, but the reception staff always have someone who speaks English. Katie, in particular, was extremely helpful. She assisted us with planning our Fansipan trip and booking tickets, and the hotel staff maintain a group chat to update guests on peak weather conditions, which is very useful. During our stay, the air conditioning wasn’t working and the room became humid after a long day out. Communication was difficult at first, but Katie responded to our message even after office hours and helped resolve the issue, allowing us to rest comfortably. Kudos to Katie and the team for their dedication and excellent service. I highly recommend Pao’s Sapa Leisure Hotel for its prime location, spacious rooms, and outstanding staff support.

The room we stayed was spacious and very clean.  It was facing the red river right next to the border bridge and hence the night scene was so fantastic.  The ground floor lobby and the reception area was large and well decorated.  The hotel provided the breakfast with various kinds of food including traditional Chinese, Vietnamese and Western styles.  Besides, the hotel was located in a quiet street with some street shops within walking distance. I would highly recommend this hotel if you come to Lao Cai.

The location is beautiful, about 30 minutes from the center of Sapa. We preferred this place for its tranquility and authenticity. Grab taxis are available for around 8€ to get to Sapa. Regarding the room, it's very basic. The cleanliness was average; it could have been better. Be aware that there are many insects since it's in the countryside! Also, the rooms are poorly insulated and lack privacy. In the morning, you'll be woken up around 5/6 AM at dawn!! Otherwise, the hotel restaurant is excellent, we absolutely loved it 😍 here are the photos. The prices were very reasonable, which saves you from having to go elsewhere. The staff is very kind.

I stayed 2 nights at Sapa Bamboo Hotel. The location was fantastic, with many restaurants and shops nearby. Some attractions such as Stone Church, Sapa Square, Sapa museum, Sun Plaza and Moana are also within walking distance. (5-15 minutes) The breakfast was delicious. Staff was helpful and courteous. Facilities are generally clean and well maintained except the toilets at the swimming pool need improvement. I enjoyed my stay at the hotel very much.

Room is big and clean, breakfast taste good, nearby by Sun Plaza which is abt 10 mins walk. The service of restaurant is very good and the manager is meticulous. Surprisingly a simple dish fried rice also taste very good but the fish was bit undercooked. Infinity pool is cool pity that the weather was too cold, couldn't enjoy the infinity pool. Massage skill is not very good, miscommunication between the reception and spa caused me wasting time (first time the receptionist told me ok to go at a timing but in fact fully booked, wasted my trip down and waited for 15 mins while nobody was around at the reception of spa; second time the masseur was late for almost 25 minutes) The masseur was having cough but did not wear mask.

Getting there on foot or by scooter is fine, but forget about it with a car! For the price, I can only give it a 2/5. Unfortunately, there was a lot of mold behind the sink, and the room was really damp – absolutely no ventilation. The bathroom had a fan, but it didn't help at all; the only effect was noise, and you couldn't turn off the light when it was on. The service was excellent, and breakfast was also good. If the room had ventilation, my rating would go up to 4/5, even with the price around $23.

JJM travelsPositives: Immaculate service. Very warm, welcoming, friendly and personalised experience. The team takes the time to speak to each and every guest, always greeting with a smile 💕 Laundry was USD4 /kg. Very nice strong smell for the detergent. Great selection of food and wonderful ala carte breakfast buffet. Scrambled eggs were so so good! The beef soup as well 👍 Loved the house pets 💕 Location is great! Not too far from city, yet far enough for peace and quiet. Near the rice fields, amazing views and fresh air. Near the alpine coaster. Massage was great too. A lil pricey but so convenient and worth it. The overall vibe was fantastic and relaxing. Definitely coming back here again despite some of the negatives below. Negatives: Insects everywhere! On the bed too! No bed bugs, that's clean. But due to the location and how each house is built, tons of little flying insects. The mosquito net helps keep most of the insects off the bed so we kept it open over the bed. Not so much privacy as the porch and tub had direct view of another room's porch.. Might have gotten exposed once or twice... we did ask for a private room but were placed right next to the pool deck. The dining place mats were dirty and re-used. They ignored the dirty spots and just placed the utensil on the mats. I had to wipe my utensils clean and placed them over serviettes instead. Too many steps 😅 we checked in after a 2d1n hike up Fansipan so our thighs were screaming with each step up and down within the Hotel compound. Overall, definitely a 9.5/10 stay!

KKaye657Hotel is in the center of Sapa and makes it accessible to a lot of restaurants and tour group meet up place (Sapa Stone Church). This is also where the tram going to Fansipan is located. Hotel offers excellent hospitality service, complete amenities (In room: toiletries, towels, hair dryer; in hotel: gym, swimming pool, restaurant, bar, spa).

YYeh YI would like to express my heartfelt thanks to Sapa Passion Hotel and Spa. They say they aim to provide “a home away from home,” and they truly delivered on that promise. From the moment we arrived in Sapa early in the morning, the staff kindly allowed us to check in early. After an overnight sleeper train, being able to rest a little before exploring Sapa was such a blessing. As soon as we entered the room, we were amazed by its spaciousness and cleanliness, and the clear view of the lake from our window was simply beautiful. The receptionist also suggested several local activities for us, and although we couldn’t join due to the weather, we truly appreciated her thoughtful recommendations. On our departure day, we took a night bus out of Sapa, and the hotel generously let us use their bathroom to freshen up before our journey. It made our departure so much more comfortable. We felt genuinely cared for during our entire stay, and I sincerely recommend this hotel to anyone visiting Sapa.

HhakiefEverything was amazing from check-in to buggy to service to cleanliness to breakfast to view. The only letdown was the water pressure in the toilet. It's the irritatingly WEAKEST shower head I've ever experienced. Same goes for the bath tub which I wanted to use but gave up when only half the tub was filled after 30min. Speechless for such a price and beautiful bathroom that failed in its main purpose. Maybe I'm unlucky maybe it's only this particular villa I ain't sure.

DDeeeeengdongIt’s quite far from the downtown area, and the road has a lot of steep slopes, so walking from the city center to the hotel is difficult. However, it’s close to Cat Cat Village, making it easy to visit on foot, and you can even see part of the village from the hotel. ^^ I looked at all the hotels in Sapa with a swimming pool, and this one is definitely in the top three. I also liked that they have shower facilities available after swimming or even after check-in/check-out.

HHazyzPros - Smooth liaising with the hotel through WhatsApp/instagram & trip.com itself even before our trip, very responsive & helpful in answering our queries & concerns - We arrived in Sapa early in the morning & appreciate that we're able to check in early - The room was very clean & cozy - Friendly receptionist that catered to our needs - Excellent service with morning call & offer for bellboy service to carry our luggages up to the lobby when we had to check out much earlier - Room cleanup service was quick but also unexpected, as we went for breakfast & came back to a cleaned room. It would be nice if laxsik had a door tag for us to indicate if we wanted 'room service' or not - We had to check out quite early in the morning, laxsik offered to give us a complete set of takeaway breakfast with fruits, sandwiches & bottled water Cons - We stayed in the family bungalow with 2 bedrooms & bathrooms, there was no shower gel for one of the rooms & no conditioner for the other room, it would be great if both rooms had the same amenities - Some tiles on the bathroom ceiling of house 10 were not intact completely hence it felt unsafe & cold air seeped in which turned the bathroom very chilly Overall we had a pleasant stay at laxsik despite the view being blocked by the fog for most of our stay, the accommodations made up for it. Do take note that it is a 10-15mins drive to Sapa town so expect to pay 200,000 vnd for a taxi. The receptionist will help you book a driver if you aren't able to get a Grab from accommodations to town. Getting Grab from Sapa town to the accommodations was quite easy. The fireplace in the lodge is highly recommended if you are staying during the cold season! We thoroughly enjoyed the experience and warmed our hearts and bodies.

GGuest UserFrom the moment I arrived, this hotel exceeded all my expectations from luxurious rooms, elegant décor, plush bedding, and calming tones made for a perfect retreat. The room was spotlessly clean and the view from the balcony was speechless. Well-equipped wellness amenities,  a serene spa with hot and cold jacuzzi, a huge steam room, sauna and a refreshing heated swimming pool over looking the mountains.  What truly set this stay apart was the hotel’s client ambassador Ms Alissa, a genuinely attentive professional who acted like a personal concierge throughout my stay who provides proactive updates on local tourist conditions and attend to my needs be it arranging for high tea and booking of spa services.  Each day, I received timely briefings on weather patterns and conditions at nearby tourist spots. This insightful information helped me plan my outings with confidence. Last but not least, the GM, Steven Tan was so warm, ensuring the guest are comfortable during breakfast time. He is from Singapore by the way and had been running the resort for 8 years. Great job Steven!! My overall experience (Excellent) The hotel’s ambiance was welcoming and polished striking the ideal balance between luxury and comfort. The facilities made it easy to unwind, stay active, and explore the tourist place with confidence. The client ambassador’s attentive, almost personal-concierge approach elevated the stay from excellent to unforgettable. I left with wonderful memories and a strong sense of having experienced truly thoughtful hospitality and will surely come back again later this year to explore places that I have did not visit.
